My uncles have gotten me into the whole fantasy thing. A few years ago, I was reading Wheel of Time at disney world when we went with my uncle, and he saw it and said I have a really good series for you, so he mails me his ENTIRE series from Colorado (I live in MN). This was just over 2 years ago, and I've read all of R.A.'s FR books, except like I said in another forum, that series about the drow preisteses. I love to read. Harry Potter, Eragon, Wheel of Time, Dragonlance (weis and hickman), Forgotten Realms, PEndragon....

I'm only fifteen, so if you notice my intrests have both adult and teen fiction intermingled... that would be why.

I also love to act, doodle, and try to write stories.

Erm, I started reading Dragonlance, and Forgotten Realm books because my brother read them and wanted to..show me the light? xd And he started reading them because our uncle Kevin gave Martin 51 of his books to start off...that number has like been duplicated 120 fold 0.0 The first series he gave me to read was The Cleric Quintet, and that runs into Drizzt Do'Urden too so now I'm readin that.

Hi, I'm Emily. I started reading Forgotten Realms when I discovered how bad the Dragonlance series got.. War of Souls made me hate the series... I liked the Realms way more than Dragonlance... Much more diverse.. Anyway, the first Realms book I read was... I think Homeland... I fell in love with the drow (which I am gradually learning to speak, thanks to the translator), so I read the War Of The Spider Queen series... yeah.. sorry.. Umm... my favourite characters are Jarlaxle, Triel (coz short people rule!) and Catti-Brie. I also like Anime, Phantom of the Opera, baking and playing video games. I also write fanfiction... I've got 14 books, roughly... hoping to expand that after Christmas... Anywho, nice to meet you all^_^

I started reading the Dark Elf Trilogy when I was about 10, because my sister was reading it and in looked interesting, since then I have read the entire seires, I think, and read each book atleast 3 times each xD.

I've only ever read to books about Drizzt and his group, but I have played the Baldurs gate games as both Drizzt and Entrerei (sp?) and the necromancer.

Favorite charaters are Jarlaxle and the Harpells.

I also go horse riding (I've seen some others here who do that aswell =] ), sailing, read all kinds of crazy/si-fi/fantasy/manga books, play an aweful lot of video games, roleplay with my friends, watch loads of films/anime and I have recently started cosplaying (Its so fun!!)

and thats almost me in a nutshell ^^

Hey thanks for the add!! I've been playing in the Realms for about 13 years. My first series was Spellfire then rolled into the Drizzt series and the Clerical Quintet. I'm an active DM as well as player. I've got play time in the Realms, Dragonlance, Greyhawk, Dark Sun, and Planescape. I've played everything from 1st edition to the current 3.5. Hope I can add my accumulated knowledge for the good of the guild!!

Well for me, I started in the beginng of the Books of Fantasy, all the way back to R.E. Howard's Conn. Then it was DragonLance. Finally, after playing BG II on PC and Icewind Dale. I figured to read the Forgotten Realms Setting. Alas the bookstore was sold out, save for one book. The IceWind Dale Trilogy.
Favorite Character: Wulfgar, Solomon Kane(different thing)
Favorite Book: Seige of Darkness

My name is Alex, as of Xmas night, i'm a fire spinner, and a burner. I go to Burning Flipside every year, and love the hell out of it. Lets see, i've not read very many D&D stories, those i have are just homeland-Sojourn(Still reading)
Things other then read, I like to LARP, when i can, though i have yet to meet any offical LARPers, i play D&D a lot, mostly as a player, but as of late, i've been a DM playing a skill based system i made up. I do a lot of things devoted to D&D, because i have not much else to do. I play a lot of MMORPGs, and i've got Vanguard: Saga of Heroes on preorder, and i can't wait for that. They have drow in it!! Drow Necromancer, here i come!
Favorite characters, i don't really have any. I respect drizzt, but i'm a bit more evil-leaning then he. While he's off on the surface saving elves, i'm the one in the big cities forging a reputation, "earning" money, and commiting a few crimes off on the side.

Hi,
I was inrtoduced to the Realms when I was about 15 (I was invited to the D&D game by a friend), soon after that I've read the Avatar trilogy...loved it (now I am all Cyric btw). Now I read FR novels occasionally and play various D&D games (preferably rogueish types).
Apart from RPGs I like anime and manga and I pretty much enjoy long walks...so relaxing.
That's, probably, it...

Greetings and well-met, fellow adventurers. I am known under the alias "Yossy," but if you find it more comfortable to speak to me using my real name, you may go ahead and refer to me as Bridget.

I'm 18 years old and currently enrolled in a community college, where I'm working toward my degree as an art major. Probably a useless degree, I know, but art (and video gaming) is the only thing I'm good at.

I've been a player of Dungeons & Dragons for most of my life, and was first introduced into the game by my older cousins, who were introduced to the game by their father. All of my uncles played D&D when they were young, which you have to give them credit for because that's when the whole Mothers Against D&D fiasco was going on.

The first time I was exposed to the Forgotten Realms universe was in purchasing Neverwinter Nights, which seemed to be the physical manifestation of everything I loved about D&D put neatly together in the form of a video game. While strolling through the library one day, I happened across a series of books bearing the mighty visage of the "Forgotten Realms" logo, which I recognized only from playing Neverwinter Nights. Obediently listening to my inner geek, I picked up a copy.

I was not disappointed.

Currently, my quest is to read the Legend of Drizzt series in its entirety, and in order (which is something I had not been doing in the past), as well as find a paperback version of the third book in The Sellswords Trilogy, because I less-than-three Jarlaxle ever so much.

I can't think of any dramatic way to end this so I'm just going to stop.

I started playing D&D when 3rd. came out, well.... not quite, but i started 1 year later. I bought the core rules and then i bought the FRCS for 50 Euros(I knew it was a rip-off price, but i was selling magic uncommons and rares at this con... well i let them be sold by the peeps who sold stuff in name of the con orga... they just asked for a price list, so i bought an Inquest and downgraded their prices and made quite a profit...) at a vendor at a german con because i was so excited to DM in Faerûn...
Well, that's it. I don't read the novels(I once read ne and it was horribly written.), i hate Drizz't but i like the sourcebooks published for Faerûn.

Hello, *waves*. I love books and started reading the Drizzt series when I was about ten. My father is a Dungen master and got me adicted to it when I was five. At first he was the big lover of Drizzt but once I got my hands on the books I never let go. I have read all the Drizzt series, the war of the spider queen, and many other of his books. I also like horese back ridding, video games, movies, and singing (be careful, I'm tone deaf.)

Hi peoples, names Mike often referred to as P.Mike in my gaming group. My introduction to gaming would be the fault of my friend mike. Started when I was a freshmen in high school(graduated now fyi) We where trying that everquest roleplaying game then moved onto D&D.

He kept nagging me to read the icewind dale trilogy and I eventually gave in and have read many of the forgotten realms books. Nice to meet you peoples.
