"I hope you all weren't hoping to start this fight without me," 2nd Lieutenant Vladmir called over the radio to his soldiers. Over the horizon appeared his Pelican. The setting sun behind it made it difficult to look at, but it was probably one of the greatest sights any marine could ever see.
The Pelican flew low over the ground, kicking up dirt all around it. His D80 Pelican was custom fitted with two small heat seaking missle launchers, one under each wing. The Pelican was painted jet black and it had guard near the jets to keep it's heat signature to a near invisible blip. The ship was perfect in almost every way, except for its speed. Due to all the extra ammo and the heavy heat seaking missle pods on the wings the plane was weighed down significantly, and was easily 15 mph slower than the standard D77-TC Pelican.
The ship touched down near the original LZ and Vladmir stepped down. The hulikng plane launched two heat seaking missles towards the Covenant lines and the nearly unnavoidable missles hit there targets easily decimating four of the plasma turrets. Vladmir picked up his sniper off the deck and a standard issue M6D Pistol.
"Well then," Vladmir's heavily accented voice spoke to no one in particular, "Let's get this started. Give me an update."

Derrek ducked back behind his cover and spoke over the radio, "We got ten turrents ahead of us. Spartan-104, Cpl. Hansel and I are going to cahrge in and destroy them while my group of marines provide a blanket of cover fire. You're welcome to help."

Vincent listened, then decided to chime in, "It'd be mighty fine if you could join us sir!"

"I'd be glad to help comrades," Vladmir said, he loaded a clip into his custom 78D-SM Long Gun and took aim. Side stepping plasma fire he snapped the scope to his eye and it immidiately click to 20x zoom.
"Taste this..." He said, he pulled the trigger quickly just as the scope covered the Grunt's head. A stream of purple blood shot straight up into the air as the high velocity round crushed the Grunt's head inward. Even the shielding of the turret couldn't protect the Grunt from the high precision round.
"One down!," Vladmir yelled over the COM channel, "Well SPARTAN, you're on point. Time to get the job done!"

Derrek made a few handsigns at his group as they all nodded while watching him. He peeked over the log, keeping the handsign pointed at them as he pointed up and slowly lowered it, about to cue them to fire. His finger suddenly snapped towards them as they all popped out from their cover and opened fire in a fury of bullets. Derrek then leaped from his cover and bumrushed the turrent closest to him firing a few bursts from his MA6B just to blind the grunt. He quickly reholstered his weapon as plasma flew around him only inches from making contact as a few meters from the turrent as he leaped into the air, one plasma bolt hitting his leg, but he ignored it. Derrek was now right at the turrent as he placed his right foot ontop of the turrent and kicked off slightly so that he wouldn't jump to far as he spun in the air making a 180 degree turn. The Grunt was now right in front of him with his back facing Derrek as he then hopped onto the seat and clutched on as he then grappled onto the Grunt's belt and pulled off two plasma grenades as he then kicked the Grunt out of the seat. The Sergeant then tossed a plasma grenade onto the Grunt's forehead as it it lit up and within moments, the grenade detonated in an explosion of plasma that cause the Grunt's soul to perish from existence with only charred remains left in his memory. The marine had no idea how to operate the Covenant turrent, but there were still many Covenenat running around, so he didn't want to leave it open as he kicked off the shield part. Derrek then activated the grenade and tossed it on the turrent as he picked up the shield and held it in his left hand and hold it close to him as with his right hand he pulled out his MA6B. This would give him less accuracy, but better for charging in and destroying turrents as he fired multiple bursts as he crouched down and made his way to a rock nerby the turrent so that now he could make it to the other turrents quicker as he shouted over his COM, "Two down, eight to go!"

Vincent watched Sgt. Baker quickly take out one turret, and following his act began zig-zag sprinting towards the next turret. His eyes watered as plasma was split hair width from his face, his eyes watered, and his face blistered, flinching from the pain, he slung his Lancer off of his back, and did a slide under the turret, watching it pivot back and forth above, he slowly clambered the backside of it, feeling it slightly swivel back and forth. He began revving the end of his gun, a chainsaw is what it was usually called. Black smoke poured from it, and he began slicing the Grunt's left arm off, hearing it scream. He threw it off, put one foot on it's chest, and burst fired into it's face. I've taken one sirs! Three out of eight have been taken! Hunter grinned, and looked at Sgt. Baker wielding the turrets shield. Meh, I couldn't do that. He turned around, and got a plasma bolt in his left arm. A Jackal stood there, and Vincent screamed in pain, and proceeded to shoot the Jackal in the legs, then as it hit the ground, he curb stomped it. "There, you b*****d." He quickly took it's shield off, and attached it to his wounded arm, and flipped it on.

"Copycat!" Derrek murmured over the radio as he dashed right by Vincent firing a burst here and there while holding the plasma shield in front of him. He bashed a Jackal in the face with his shield knocking them to the ground and tossing the shield out of the Jackal's possesion as he hovered the rifle over the Jackal and unleashed a single bullet through its skull. The cover fire from the marines was proving quite productive as a few stray bullets actually hit the turrent operators, but so far, no marines had yet to kill any Covenant operating the turrents, and it seemed a waste of ammo to Derrek as he spoke over the COM, "Hey marines, keep the cover fire, but start firing in slightly smaller bursts while advancing, we want to make the most of this, and we don't want to run dry on ammo when we need it." The marines instantly acknowledged the order as there was significantly less firing, but it proved just as effective with the group slowly adavncing going from cover to cover. Derrek ran and kicked the Jackal shield lying ont he ground that hit the next turrent and deactivated its shield as he dropped his shield for a moment and rose his rifle. He took aim and fired a single shot that yet again went through a Covenant skull, but this one belonging to a Grunt, and yet, it still lived. Derrek reholstered his weapon and picked up his shield as he walked over to the Grunt and examined him as it made small noises. He then activated all of the plasma grenades on the Grunt's belt and took a few steps back and turned around just as a small fireworks display occured, and this time, nothing of the Grunt remained as Derrek chuckled.

[The name is Vincent here bud, lol, anyways, back to the rp]
Vincent watched Derrek run by him. "Sir, I must admit, there are no copycats in war! Better watch it, and don't get TOO far ahead" Vincent screamed over the COM sarcastically. He looked to see Derrek activating a few of the plasma grenades on a Grunt just before Vincent dived into the nearby ocean, and waded chest high. He began hopping with his toes towards the last turret on the lineup, hoping to capture it, and give his fellow Marines support. He dived under, keeping his Lancer above the bitter salt water which Vincent kept on sipping in to his mouth, and gagged. He popped up, and fired blindly onto the beach in bursts, just as Sgt. Baker had ordered, mowing down only 2 Grunts. He submerged into the bitter icy water, when plasma fire hit the water, creating bubbles, and heating the water rapidly.

"All units, stay back and give me suppressing fire. Vladimir, get your squad on the left and lay down heavy fire on the right turrets. Derrek, get your squad on the right and lay down some heavy fire on the left turrets. Cross fire boys, they'll never know what hit them. I'm heading up the middle. Oh, and Vladimir" said Spartan-104 to the Lieutenant, "I give the orders around here."
Spartan-104 jumped up from behind the tree and dove over the dead lumber. He landed square on his shoulder and rolled upright, ducking down into a full sprint. Attached to his back still was his MA9T AI Rifle, and the sniper laid in his hands. But not for long, because at that moment an explosive plasma charge went off next to him, throwing him only a couple feet but making his sniper fly from his hands. The odds poured through his head in those 2 milliseconds. Retrieve the sniper or continue further and pick up a confiscated Rebel AP Assault Rifle from a dead O.D.S.T. He chose option number two.
He quickly brought himself to his feet and and ran forward at full speed, an equivalent of 36 kilometer per hour on sand. He could feel the heat from the plasma flying near him, as well as hear it when his sheild buzzed. The warrior dodged a plasma charge, learning from his last mistake, and dove behind cover near a pinned down O.D.S.T. "Captain, I'm going to need to borrow your soldiers weapon if you don't mind" he said as casual as a walk on the beach. "Go ahead, they won't be needing it now" he screamed before unleashing a whole new meaning to rip-you-a-new-one into a Jackal above them. Spartan-104 grabbed the Rebel AP Assault Rifle and several clips from the other guns, and held it at ready in his hands. "All right, hold here until I give the all clear" he said to the Captain. "You bet your a** I won't be going anywhere" he said as a fresh new bolt of plasma seared over his head. Spartan-104 nodded and looked up at the covenant ranks. s**t, he thought. That's a lot of enemy soldiers. "All right, let's do this."

Derrek made more handsigns as he dashed across the field, ddiving and dodging plasma as he made his way over to the right only getting skimmed by two plasma bolts as he met up with his team and made a few more hand signs as he then screamed, "NOW!" The sergeant and his group then popped from their cover and unleashed a hellish rain of bullets upon the left turrents as Derrek was yelling words of encouragement. Derrek pulled the trigger, but nothing happened. He slammed it against the rock lightly as it sprung to life and he fired a few bursts, but then it jammed. The sergeant hit it with his hand and aimed. Once he pulled the trigger, the rifle exploded in his arms as shrapnel flew everywhere. One piece inserted itself into the arm of a marine under Derrek's control, but much of the shrapnel went right into the sergeant himself and right to the heart as he fell over, motionless.
((I will now take over the marine and new leader of the group, Sergeant Ira Bostwic))
Ira told the group to continue firing as he pulled out a small piece of shrapnel from his arm and placed two fingers on Sergeant Derrek Baker's neck and check for a pulse. He shook his head and then spoke over the COM, "This is Sergeant Ira Bostwic, a marine that was under Sergeant Baker's command. Baker has been killed in action and I am taking over the group." Ira then peeked over his cover as he felt a whole new wave of supperiority flush over him as he aimed his weapon and began firing.

Corporal Hansel, Vincent E. began taking the full blow of the heated water and jumped out, screaming in pain, and was struck in the head by a plasma blow, barely living, he squinted up. "Move... damnit move!" he tried to scream, but nothing came out. He was picken up by an Elite, they stared down, then a throbbing pain struck him in the chest, and he looked for an instant as his flesh burned. He, a man now, cried, and memories of his homeland flashed before him, then, a snarl and he hit the water, being washed into the vast oceans to be cast out by the world.
[[I will now take control of a new Marine. Corporal Winston L. Strank. Only because I was commanded too.(not copying I swear to gwarsh.) pirate Let's hit it.]]
Cpl. Strank looked in suprise, Sgt. Baker layed there, motionless, and watched as another Marine stepped up and checked his pulse. He listened over the COM to his new message, "This is Sergeant Ira Bostwic, a marine that was under Sergeant Baker's command. Baker has been killed in action and I am taking over the group." He smirked, good to know someone 'll stand up to take the posistion, cuz I sure as hell ain't gonna. He gripped his MA5B and saluted Sgt. Bakers lifeless shrapnel filled corpse, and a tear hit the ground. Winston quickly slammed into the rock, and popped over the rock, using controlled bursts to hit the Grunts where it hurts, right in the methane tanks. He watched as Grunts ingnited in flame, rushing for the salt water. One grunt grabbed an elite which in turn burnt him. Winston ducked again, hearing fatal screams, and checked his ammo count. Uh oh... not good.

"Don't forget to conserve ammo!" Vladmir yelled, his team reloaded in sync. He couldn't believe he was taking orders from a SPARTAN, but this was his battle, ONI even took the time to appoint him leader of the group so there had to be a reason. Until he got an explanation he would sit back and follow orders.
Another round from his sniper pierced the shielding of the turret, however after hitting the shield it's trajectory was reflected and the shots would ricochet off into the distance. However Vladmir was getting the job done, when he took down the shields the Grunts were open to al lfire from his comrades. However, even the easy victory was baffling him. Why weren't there any Elites, or Hunters? What was happening up in the space battles, he wished he could be back at home, on a ship, in the command deck where all he had to worry about was the superior fire power of a Covenant destroyer class cruiser.
"Sir," Vladmir called over the radio, it killed him to call him sir, but he knew it was proper in this situation, "I suggest we move in quicker, and close up rear flank, something tells me this turret barrage is a decoy."

Ira fired burst after burst in rapid succession as each burst went to a place where it was needed. After a few more bursts, he heard a click as he then dropped the magazine from his rifle and quickly jammed another one in its place. Before he opened fire, the Sergeant glanced over to check on his troops and noticed that one was running low on ammo. He dudcked under cover and grabbed three extra magazines that he knew he wouldn't need as he shouted, "Cpl. Strank, catch!" Ira tossed the magazines at Strank as he then got a better grip on his rifle and peeked out from the side as he continued to fire burst after burst.

Winston looked at the incoming ammo, dropped his weapon, caught too, the other hit him in the stomach, and stashed two in his vest, then slammed the final into his weapon. "Thanks sir! I'll cover your 9'o clock. Winston quickly crawled to Sgt. Bostwic's left, giving support on his left, with the occasional blind fire burst over the rock. He quickly pulled a frag grenade off of his belt "Let's rock their world." He spotted an inactive plasma grenade between him and more cover. "Sgt. Bostwic, can you give me stable covering fire on my mark?" He crouched readily, prepared to dive out from cover, pick up the plasma grenade, and find new cover.
