Emily and the Oracle

Arkom chuckled and took the fish, chomping down on it hungrily.
"Whoa now, don't get too excited. One thing though, while I'm training you, don't hit me. If your ice melts it turns to water, which burns me." he gestured to the burns on his arms. "It isn't a very pleasant feeling."

Fellel looked at him in suprise. "Water does that to you?" he asked, "What do you drink than? I mean, everyone needs water." he commented. But he was positively sure that he could do it if he taught him. "Alright, I won't!" he excalimed. He was now hyper, extatic, and excited.

"Anything wet, actually. I don't need to drink." He smiled, finishing off the fish and standing up.
"Okay, first lesson...your essence." He pulled out his bottle, filled with fire. "Important in using any of your...powers." He stuck it back in his pocket. "Do you have yours?" Obvious question, he had to have his. If he didn't, he would be dead.

"Of course I do!" he said putting his hand into his coat pocket and bringing out an Ice Essence. He showed it to him and then stuck it back into his pocket. "What does that have to do with anything?" he asked completely oblivious to the fact that he needed that to do anything.

"Well, without it you die and can't use any of your 'powers'. So, first. This might sound hippy-ish, but you need to find your inner self...your inner strength, your inner.....fire. Er, ice. You have to block out all thoughts, feelings, senses, and try to touch your mind."

Fellel tried to block out everything and once he did, he began not knowing what was going on. He completly blocked out all sounds, feelings, and smells. He really wanted to try and do it right, so he completely blocked everything out. Once he felt it was all out he said, "Now what..." in a very soft voice.

"Just like I told you. Find your inner...ice. Just find your power, your strength, and grab it; hold onto it." Arkom leaned against the tree and watched him in interest.
Is this what I was like when I was a novice? He mused.

With his eyes closed loosly he began to feel a coldness come over him. He felt cold and a little shaky. He lifted his hands up in the air a bit and clenched his fists. Then he bagan to get colder and colder. At that moment he began to turn a little 'blue'. His lip began to quiver and he could feel he must be doing it right.

Arkom stood up quickly.
"Okay, stop now!" He ordered, watching him turn blue. "Don't use too much right now!"

((Ee, sorry, headache e_x ))

((It's alright. biggrin ))

Fellel couldn't stop, now that he had embraced his power, he didn't want to stop. He heard the yelling and he ignored it. Really taking in all the power he could. He turned a darker shade of blue everything was freezing now to him. His fists began to become frosty. He loved the emence power he had built up inside that he couldn't ever do before.

Arkom let fire envelope his hands, and he shoved the boy as hard as he could to the ground, hoping he lost his concentration. The coldness seeped through his fire, and he pulled back with a yelp of pain.

Fellel let it all go and a blast of ice and water molecules blasted outward hitting everything within a radius of 20ft. He fell to the ground. Almost unconcious and freezing. He needed heat, but not to hot at once. That would make him burn a little to much.

Arkom put his arm up to cover his eyes as the water and ice hit him. He braced himself against it for a second, feeling it burning. But he ignored it and tumbled over Fellel, dropping besides him. He quickly shoved together a bunch of dead leaves and sticks and set them on fire, a couple inches away from the boy. He then sat back and watched him, fire running up and down his arms in an attempt to heal his newly-acquired burns.

A few hours passed and Fellel finally woke up to a nice warm fire and to see Arkom sitting close to him. "I think I overdid it a bit." he said closing his eyes again and then opening them back up slowly.

"Yeah. Only a little." Arkom said sarcastically. "New rule, listen to me when I tell you to do something instead of blowing yourself up. Got it?" He stretched his arms up, yawning.
