Noticing the man she was approaching suddenly turn away, Spork hesitantly followed careful to not lose sight of him. During the pursuit she pulled her bow around ready to fire if necessary. She did not know anything about her current surroundings and wanted to take every precaution.

As he approached Gambino, he could smell the salt water, and feel the breeze. It reminded him of his first journey after... at that thought he turned around and saw a young girl with bow drawn. She looked familiar, but that was probably just his mind playing tricks on him in his current state. Deciding to be diplomatic about this he called out to her, "Is there something I can help you with?"

Spork stopped suddenly, a little annoyed that in her haste she was plainly visible. Nervously fingering the feathers of an arrow she replied, "What do you know of the monks of Barton?"

She was nervous, he could see that as plain as day. She was armed and asking about the monks. Perhaps this is what Ryu had been sensing...
"The Monks, yes I know of them. What business do you have with them?"

Ruby: "Ummmm...sir?....You've been looking at that hat for over an hour now. If you're gonna windowshop then I suggest you leave."
Kura: "Relax, if it's too much trouble for you then I'll buy it."
Ruby: "But it's 15555 gold."
Kura: "So?"
*Kura reached into his cloak and pulled out a heavy bag of gold. He tosses it on the counter while managing not having the bag open.*
Ruby: "Well now, aren't you a rich one. The casino my not be open yet, but I do wish you don't waste your money on something you'll regret."
Kura: "Even the rich have income. It's just a matter of time. I'll be back again to try out more hats."
Ruby: "My, my. You certianly do like hats. Or perhaps.
*Ruby places the hat Kura purchased into a plastic bag as Kura looks around the store. In the corner, Ruby's kid was hiding behind the counter glaring at him. Obviously, Peyo was just being overprotective of his caretaker. Kura took the bag and exited the store...right before a whole bunch of shoppers stormed the store and started browsing around.*
Kura: You gotta beat the competition before they get there. Shop in the morning and beat the crowds before they wake up. Hah!
*Kura departed for Barton, back to the Guild Hall. Upon his way he sees Atsu and an outsider with a drawn bow. She wasn't pointing it at him, so he naturally assumed it wasn't a hostile situation and walked along on his way past the girl and stopping next to Atsu.*
Kura: "Mornin' Atsu. She an aquiatance of yours?"

"Hey Kura." Without taking his eyes off the girl, "I just met her now, and I'm not quite sure what to make of her yet."

Uneasy about how this meeting was progressing Spork tried desperately to conceal her raging emotions at hearing the name of the man she confronted. Looking at him intently she asked, "Your name is Atsu? Then perhaps you are the one I seek."

"Yes, I am Atsu, first deputy of the Warrior Monks of Barton." He pauses, "Now that you know who I am, how about introducing yourself?"

"My name?" She pauses and giggles for a moment unintentionally. "I am known as Spork of the forest." Trying to gague his reaction she added softly, "My mentor who named me was a little odd."

"I see..." Spork? What kind of a name was that...? She was hiding something. "Well then, Spork, what is your business with the Monks?"

Spork's unease grew this monk was probing, trying to avoid giving her any information at all. Sighing she admitted, "My business with the monks consisted of finding you. My master asked me to seek you if you still lived when he died."

This intrigued him; her 'odd' mentor, as she put it, knew of him. "Your master told you to seek me out? Now I'm just curious, who was he?"

"I am not sure what his true name was, but he called himself Spoon. I don't suppose that name reminds you of anyone does it?"

"Spoon?" Memories came flooding back at that name. His only 'friend' while he had been imprisoned all those years ago. He had lived through the war after all, what had happened to him?
Collecting himself before continuing, he tried to speak in a calm, cool voice. And for the most part, failed. "I knew someone who called themself that once. Where is he?"

Tears welled up in Spork's eyes and started streaming down her face and out from under her mask as she replied, "As I said earlier he is dead. About a year ago we encountered a mountain lion while hunting for our dinner. We failed to conceal ourselves well enough and it attacked. The fool stayed behind to fight it while I escaped. By the time I had my bow ready, it was too late."
