"Well, just staying," he said. "I can't afford to sleep in an inn, and it's not so bad out here anyway, but maybe that's just..heh..." he didn't exactly finish his sentence, but the implication was clear enough.

She smiled. "It's not just you. I'd stay out here more, if the rest of the Riders wouldn't have a heart attack if I was gone." she assured him.

He hesitated for a moment at the mention of the word 'Riders', and his eyes shot at the sky for a second. There was nothing there.
He changed the subject as smoothly as he could. "I'd probably stay out here all the time if I had no reason to go into town. But that would be sort of boring..."

She started to speak, when an ear-splitting roar was sent through the trees. "Wyverns.... Taro, do you have a side in the war?" she asked hesitantly, her eyes skyward.

"Not really. As far as I'm concerned, a whelp like me can't do a thing in a war with something as big and loud as that..."
She'd already seen the wyverns in the sky.
Eyeara ran toward the wyvern's roar in the forest.

"You'd be amazed what someone small can do. Come on, they're coming." she said as a second wyvern roared, this one from the sky.
Kiira!! Where are you?? she said mentally, to no response.
Kiira? Kiira, where are you?!!! Kiira?? she still received no response, something had happened to the dragon.
Muttering a stream of elven curses, she quickly strung her bow, glancing to Taro, hoping he'd come with her.

As soon as she looked away, he shifted to fox form and ran out of the clearing, where he wouldn't be too easily noticed.
I'm sorry... he thought gently.
"Looking for something, point-ear?" said the werewolf from above, on a tree branch. She then looked up at a wyvern in the sky, hoping it'd try and come after her. She even howled a challenge at it.
Eyeara had heard someone's voice saying something about the wyverns coming. She'd decided whoever it was was probably against the upstart species, and so headed that way. At some point between the tavern and now she had shifted to full werewolf form.

Ignoring the werewolf, she silently when she noticed the werefox was gone. "Do you want to stay and get killed? I'd recomend leaving the clearing..." she said, moving under the safety of the trees and quickly scaleing(sp?) a tree.
Setting an arrow to her bow, she noticed a figure on the wyvern circling overhead. She released the first and had a second in the air only seconds behind the first, both flying towards the figure on the low-flying wyvern. A faint smile on her lips as he fell from his mount, who roared and landed in the clearing, rearing on his hind legs, roaring again, this time answered by two other wyverns.

She jumped on top of the wyvern when it landed, and yelled "Shut up ya windbag!" Then she let loose and started tearing as hard as she could at the creature's skin. She jumped to the front and clawed its eyes.

"And I thought humans were reckless..." she muttered, taking aim for the softer belly scales, finding a few arrows with thin heads, so they'd slip between the scales easier. Two bounced off harmlessly, while two punctured the skin and buried themselves to the fletchings.

Eyeara heard the whoosh of the wyvern's tail coming at her, and immediately jumped up out of the way. The creature nailed itself right between the eyes, and then she jumped onto the tail and pushed it in as hard as she could. That was pretty d***ed hard. The creature couldn't pull itself free for the moment, so she started at its eyes again.

Saro stopped shooting, it would die soon. The venom on it's tail, and the barb probably went into it's brain, which alone would kill it. She silently moved to another tree, searching for the second wyvern she'd heard.

She eventually slashed both eyes out, and then jumped off of it. If it wasn't dead it was blinded, and riderless.

An arrow, from the Rider of the second wyvern, zipped through the air, grazing Saro's side. Wincing, she twisted around, hating the motion, and saw no one. The wyvern dove down at Eyeara, while the Rider bombarded Saro with arrows. She moved to the other side of the trunk, and slid down to the ground, another arrow to her bow as soon as her feet touched the ground.
