I do not consider it part of the universe either, just an alongside that happens to fit well with the movie. Even without the game, I can never see them growing up, personally.

I personally don't care for the video games made after the film...After doing some research I found out that Tim Burton wasn't involved in the making of the games at all.

I think rather than growing up, since they were dead in the first place (as is pretty much everything in Halloween Town), they would decay...I'm also not sure what you're referring to when you mention that Oogie enchanted them to stay young.

All of the characters that are people in Halloween Town are zombies-corpses-, then there's the otehr creatures like the vampires, melting man, harlequin demon ect. You cant get older when your dead >.<

Well, I don't think really they would grow up within the universe, but if they were too, that's my theory on how it would happen. x3

If you want my theory on their youth, trick-or-treating is an event normally considered just for little children. Hence, Lock, Shock, and Barrel can never age, for when you think of trick-or-treaters, little kids in costume are more likely to come to mind than adults or teenagers. But it is just a theory; nothing is official.

No one grows, nothing changes. thats the whole point of halloween town isnt it? being dead and all. its confusing though becuase Jack and Sally ahd children.

Well, the children part was cut from the movie, perhaps there was a reason other than for time? I know it was in the soundtrack, but you don't have to accept it. I think kids might kind of wruin the romance...
