RolePlaying is like a movie or video game only when you do it you can make your own
Er... okay, no offense, but that's the lamest description of roleplaying that I've ever heard.
Roleplaying is when two or more people get together and create a plot line with settings, characters, abilities, etc. Each person gets to create their own character and together they create an entire story line through writing. It's a pretty literate activity, and is more like a bunch of people writing a story by contributing their own bits and pieces than a movie or video game.
