She sniffed the air around Saro.
"It's your scent..." She said, her eyes closed, as if dreaming of a far off place. "You smell of the ocean..."
She seemed to snap out of her trance and looked at Saro, smiling.

"Sorry... I'm being nosey again."
Ako turned and walked back to her door, hoping that she would have enough time to clean up her apartment before she went to bed.
"By the way, Saro," she added, her back still turned. "If you need a place to stay... I'm always here!"

She tensed up slightly, hastlily concealing the shock from her face. "It's been at least a year since I left.... I haven't been back since..." she said hesitently, wondering how the girl could tell. Wait, I doubt a year on Mysiric would have done it, had I been right?....she thought quickly, her thoughts scattering as quickly as they formed. She started to walk away after giving the girl a thankful smile, then turned back around to face her. "How did you know that? My name I mean." she demanded, looking quizzically at the yet-unnamed girl.

As she opened her door, she heard the caw of a Rook above her window. When did that get there? She pondered. She shook her head, knowing the conotations behind a Rook above your doorstep. I wonder why all the birds are missing, yet this one remains... Something is definately afoot... With one last glance at the Rook, she entered her house.

She turned around to answer Saro's question from her door.
"Some things cling to you. After all, it is your past, and you can't change that." She smiled, closing the door, and speaking mainly to herself. "As for you name. Your mind eminates it. It's in your face and in your scent."

After closing the door, Ako stared at it, thinking about the strange girl. She began to wonder about what she had said, and why she had said it. It was almost as if she had no control over what she said. She shook away the thought and crossed to the fridge, forgetting the mess that was strewed across her floors. Opening the fridge, she reached in and grabbed the Green Tea Bottle, and poured some into a mug. She heated it in the microwave, waiting for it to ring. Why do I feel like I know that girl... What was her name again? She brought her hand to her forehead, leaning her chin on the table; slumping in her seat.

She sighed, leaving the girl. "How wonderful. A complete stranger knows me better than I do..." she muttered, going down an alley, searching for the building housing the man she had been sent to find. She knew the alley weren't the safest places, even the best cities had thieves, but she was comfortable enough in the shadows. And, the narrow, winding paths were a wonderful way to loose someone, especially when they were foolish enough to let their presence be known.

With a sudden impulse Ako stood up in a rush, knocking her chair over. She grabbed her keys, and ran out the door. She began to follow the girl to find out exactly what she had said to her. Ako wanted to know exactly what she had done and what she had said. Her curiosity about her self began to ache at her mind. Forgetting to close and lock her door she ran down the familiar streets, running after the new girl's scent of the ocean.

For some reason the scent seemed to call to her and she felt as if she could make the scent into a living ocean before her. Without knowing what she was doing she followed by scent alone.

With a sudden surge of pain, she fell to the ground. Her back began to ache, and she remembered the wings that were like the Draconic, except for feathered. She hugged herself, gripping the cloth on her back, spasming in pain on the cobblestoned road. Her eyesight began to fade, and for some unknown reason only the image of the open doorway to her rented condo came into mind.

Great, Now there's two of them.... Saro thought, sighing inwardly. She slowly started weaving through the streets, then slipped down a second path, staying in the shadows cast by the overhanging roof. Watching a man all to familiar pass her, she smiled faintly. She'd finally bested him at something sneaking-related. But there were still footsteps coming from where she had walked moments before.

((I'll send you a second profile in a minute.))

Her eyesight was swirling and her ache was searing with pain. She felt as if her wings, that were now fully shown, were being ripped out. She girpped at her back, pulling at the wings, trying to rid herself of the pain.

"Blood..." she whispered, the scent too familiar to her. She darted out of the doorway and ran back the way she'd come, glancing around. Seeing the girl from earlier, she paused, shocked, at the white wings sprouting from her back.

"Go, help her." A man's voice whispered at her ear. Twisting around, she glared at him.
"But you-" she started
"Can do nothing to help her. Go." he interupted. "I'll find you again Saro, don't worry." he added mockingly before turning and dissapearing into the shadows.

Sighing, she ran to the girl, kneeling beside her, unsure what she could do. It wasn't a full moon, it wasn't even night. She didn't know what she could do.

Gasping for air, she saw a blurred figure. But the scent. Oh the scent, she smiled through her pain and tears began to stream down her face.
"I know you..."
She reached up and touched what she thought was the girl's face.
"Why can't I... Ever heal... Myself?"

She said nothing, grasping the girl's hand. If only it wasn't so close to the new moon.... Sighing at her own stupidity, she shifted so she could pull a small vial out of a pouch at her waist. "Here, drink this... It should help..." she said quietly, holding the glass to the girl's lips.
