Sousuke sat in a near tree and watched his students with a mild yawn. He could see Terran on the obsticle course, and Akuka in the air, easily enough. He also knew Artemis was in the maze. He couldn't see her, but could easily hear the struggles of her test. Sousuke took a quick bite of an apple as he watched the three pass their tests (assume Akuka does pass) with little, to no, readable emotions. However, he was proud of his students, and quickly jumped down to go help prepare for tonight.

((Holy cow, rape story to start off the series? We're supposed to be doing tests, but oh well, you do what you have to! smile ))

Terran's sensitive hearing picked up a sudden scream of distress. He looked around, but seemingly nobody else heard it. 'Hmm... people too distracted by this damn test to pay attention to the real world.' He started to sprint in the direction of the scream. Suddenly a gargantuan figure blocked his way. It was the instructor of the younger class, Darren, a rhino Furin. "Ja, Vere do you think you are goink?" He asked in his thick Russian accent. Terran dove under his legs and kept running. "Hey! Joo vill be deesqualified if you leave!" He yelled. "Go ******** yourself!" was the astonishing reply that Darren received.

Terran dashed through the town trying to find the source of the scream, when he finally happened upon an alley where Sam's two thugs were having their way with a young cat girl. Terran jumped in the air and kicked Jake, a grizzly Furin, hard in the head as he was trying to force the girl's pants off. He went sprawling down the alley before slamming into a trash can. Terran reared and bared his fangs at Cliff, the toad Furin. He moved lightning fast and sunk his fangs into the flesh of Cliff's side. Cliff let out a yelp, as well as a disgusting semi-toxic substance from his pores. Terran caught a mouthful of it and jumped back, trying to spit this weird substance out. Cliff jumped off into the distance, and slowly Jake stood up. "Hey, little man. This fight ain't over yet. Just wait until Sam hears about this." Jake then ambled away from Terran.

Terran turned to the girl. She was sitting there sobbing and trying to gather herself. She realized Terran was looking at her, and that her top was still ripped. She blushed a little and tried to cover herself. Terran politely turned away as he took off his shirt and threw it to her. "Hey... Sorry if I was a little late. I'm Terran, by the way." The girl barely uttered "Thanks... I'm.... *sob* Pers.... *sob*.. Persephone." Terran stood there, kind of awkwardly, for a moment. "Well... I kinda need to get back to this thing..." As he started to walk off, Persephone wrapped herself around his torso. "No! Please don't leave me alone yet..." She looked up into his eyes, tears still streaming. Terran was a little befuddled, and even more so when Sousuke fell from the rooftop and landed next to them. "Terran, I saw what you did. I've talked it over with the judges, and they understand the circumstances. They said it's OK for you to participate in the second test. I'll take this girl down to the police station so that you can get back there." Terran nodded, and Persephone let go of him. "Thanks again..." She mumbled as Terran ran off in the direction of the assembly. A million questions buzzed in his head. 'Why wasn't that girl at the test? I vaguely remember her being in some of my classes. And why weren't Sam's thugs at the test, either? I mean, did they just decide they weren't taking it? Or did they already fail? And if Sousuke saw everything, why didn't he help? Was he personally testing my skills? It doesn't seem like him.' These thoughts seemed to swirl and swirl in Terran's head. He stumbled a bit, dazed. That's when he realized: Cliff's toxin must be taking effect. He fell to the ground and frantically looked around for help, but as he slowly lost his grip on the conscious world, all he saw was the outline of a bear and a toad...

((To be continued after more people post their first test. If you guys don't get on this, I'm going to start posting your test for you. THAT IS NOT AN ENCOURAGEMENT TO NOT POST IF YOU CAN'T THINK OF ANYTHING I just really want to get this storyline moving.))

Still crying Persephone thought about the test she didn't want to go, she thought it was really stupid. "It's time to take the first test ma'am." The poor girl frowned,"No, I don't want to, don't you know what just happened to me? I was almost rapped." She stammered and protested. "Frankly miss them out there, they don't care a whole lot. All they know is that you gotta take that test. You're comin' of age, it's important." Persesphone was almost in tears again. She couldn't handle it anymore. "FINE! I will take your stupid test just tell me what to do." The man nodded, "What you have to do is Make your way though this set of obsticals, you are to use all of your abilites and strenghths to make it through. You have 2.5 minutes. Begin."

Persephone wipped away her tears and retracted her claws, long thin needle like claws came out, they shinned like metal in the sun. The girl moved down to all fours and began to leap through the obsticals beating away fake enimies and dodging moving pilars and such. Over all the test was easy. "Congradulations, You passed." Said the instructor. Persesphone didn't reply to the man, mearly walked away grabbing the piece of paper saying she passes. "What a waiste of time."

Bunch of punks!! None of them were worth a s**t in my book except my closest friends. I looked around and saw a bunch of scared momma's boys and wusses. I walked toward my door and thought about things. Terran was my closest friend,he was smart and keen,and made all kinds of funny jokes and cooled me down when I wanted to bust somebody's head. I guess I owe it to him why I'm still here and not kicked out. All my friends were good people. Freak was also a good buddy of mine. He was close to as bis as me and it was fun to wrestle and carry on. However the on guy I hated was Sam and his group,someday they would get theirs,them's the reason I almost got kicked out a couple of times.

It was time for the doors to open and I was pumped time to step up and show what I was worth. The doors opened and I roared and went on myhind feet and beat my chest,I was ready for any thing. I charged through the door expecting hundreds of enemies to destroy,but it was a white room and in the middle of the room was a piece of paper. I walked cautiously waiting for a trap,smelling for an enemy. I got closer and snatched up the paper.

It was a riddle.

Terran's eyes slowly opened. His vision was fuzzy at first, but when his sight cleared, he saw that he was in a dark room, strapped down to a table. He tried to break free but the restraints were too much. Suddenly someone came into view. It was Cliff. He grinned his gigantic toad grin as he pulled out a small razor blade. "Hey Terran. You like pain? The way you was ******** with us earlier leads me to believe you like pain!" He laughed maniacly as he slashed a huge gash across Terran's right eye (Not really the eyeball itself, it's just to make a cool scar that goes above and below my eye, almost like Squall). Jake lumbered in at this point, too. "Hey! I told you not to start without me!" He backhanded Cliff against the wall and stared down at Terran, who was scrunching up his face, trying to get the blood to stop. Jake let out a chuckle as he bared his huge teeth. "I bet you think you're quite the hero. Well, it seems like since you made us miss out on our fun, we are now forced to MAKE OUR OWN!" With that shout he dug his claws deep into the skin right below Terran's left shoulder, barely missing the heart. Terran felt the claws hit, felt them tear through the skin easily, pushing through muscle, and finally heard bones snap. Jake was strong. Really strong. He let out a feral roar of pain as blood sprayed out of this new wound. Cliff then got up and watched as Jake twisted his hand a little, causing an unimaginable amount of pain for Terran. Then Jake looked over at Cliff. "Hey, Cliff. Spray this mother with your numbing agent so he can't feel this next one. Trust me, it's gonna be a doozy." Terran was trying beyond hope to defy all odds and break through the restraints, but to his dismay they weren't even close to giving out. Cliff came over and sprayed a thick liquid from his mouth. It sprayed over Terran's wound, over his face, and over the rest of his left arm. Terran's vision went dull for a second, but then came back. His eye didn't really hurt anymore, and even though Jake's hand was still embedded in his shoulder, he could scarcely feel it. Then Jake took his other hand and grabbed Terran's. He slowly rolled Terran's wrist back and back and back, until a distinct snap was heard. The back of Terran's hand was now touching his own arm in a way that it really, REALLY wasn't supposed to. Jake wasn't done, though. He grabbed the wrist and kept rolling, as more and more snaps resounded through the dank room. After a few more rolls, Terran's arm resembled a very small fire hose. His eyes widened as he realized this, though he could not feel anything that was happening on that side of his body. Then Jake finished the job by twisting his embedded hand, completely removing the arm that had just been folded. More blood sprayed everywhere, and Terran began to black out. 'No... This is it... this is where I'm going to die... too much... blood...' On this note, though, he heard a loud crash. He tried his hardest to look up through his dimming vision, and saw the outline of another person... and then nothingness...

Freak walked into the arena with Sousuke and the other staff members. He looked around at everyone that had made it through their first tests. He saw Cidric and Artemis together and made his way to them. "Hey guys. I figured you would be hanging around with Terran." "We actually haven't seen him since this morning. He passed his test right?" "I would think so, but he isn't out here. And now that I mention it, I'm not seeing Sam's lackeys either..." Freak walked over to Sousuke. "It seems we have a problem. Terran isn't here, and neither are Sam's lackeys. I'm going back to try and find them, because there's no way Terran couldn't have passed his test." "Actually yeah... I saw him earlier, he got 'disqualified' for leaving the arena... turns up Persephone was being raped by Sam's lackeys and Terran saved her. I took her to the police station to file a report, and the two of us came back for the test. Terran should have beat us back here by a long shot. Go ahead and go look for him, I'll let the judges know what's going on."

The next test was coming. I wonderd who I was going to fight next.I looked for freak,but they said he had left to find Terran. I figured he knew what he was doing. I was gald to hear the next test was a fight,good thing to becuase I was still a little tense after the last test and that damn puzzle. The announcer came on and said I was to fight Joe. I laughed " Joe the sloth what the hell, this is going to be eas." Kind of felt bad though Joe was my friend. "******** it." Oh well who cares. Someone has to win.

It was time for second test. Joe and Zander walked to the ring. There they were facing face to face. Joe looked determined. Zander was ready, he wanted this win. A judge came into the ring,it was a rhinocerous. He was tough and had many scars. He gave the rules, it was simple last man standing. It was not a battle to the death. The match was over when the opponent tapped out, went limp,or said stop. On his signal the battle would begin.
