Xearus scoffed and took to walking in front of him. He wasn't going to be lead around. He knew Darvien had this guy out just to make sure he actually came to see him. "I was born to darkness. That's why."
"Get this straigh..uh.." He was lack of a name, "whoever, nobody fetched me. I come when I ******** feel like it." He picked at his fangs as he neared the office. "If you want to see a show stick around." And in true Xearus fashion, he pushed open the office doors.
He simply stood in the doorway. "You're not getting your fledgling back." And he turned, fully intending to leave.

For the second time of the night, an emotion flashed on Marx's face. His eyebrows angled in and he let out a small snarl. He wanted to pin the insolent being up against the wall and have him learn some respect. But he soon composed himself and watched as he burst into the office. Before he could turn however he stood in his way.
"Lord Adrik, I, Marx, your loyal subject," he added a tinge of arrogonce into his introduction, "has fetched you your person." And for the third time, an emotion was on his face, this time a victorious smile.

Fangs bared themselves at Marx. "Who the ******** hell do you think you are, back the ******** up young blood." Then a scoff again. "Oh, so that's it you're his dog. Fetching things and the like. " So not in the mood. Arrogant b*****d.

"You must understand Master Xearus," his smile had now disappeared and was replaced with his statue like face, "that I am only doing what the Lord has asked me to do. Nothing else. Now if I were you I'd give your attention to Lord Adrik." He raised his chin high and looked toward the desk. His blood was pumping and his hands were clenched into fists behind his back. The thrill of a fight got him excited but he mustn't fight in such a place. Not now anyway...

"Ill give him my attention when I'm damn good and ready. I don't need you watching my back like I'm a ******** child or like I'm incompetent." He got a shove. "Got that Mr. Tough Guy? I don't take s**t from you or from anyone else, got it?"
A look over his shoulder to Darvien who got a scowl. "You heard me." He didn't care at this point. Lack of blood only made him all the more aggressive than he was to begin with.

"I suggest you stop your little wise a** right there, Xearus."
Darvien got himself up and turned around, facing the front doors of his office, fists at his sides, before reaching into his desk drawer for his 'surprise' for Xearus. he drew out a small pistol, a .38, and fired one of the silver bullets into Xearus' right calf.
"That is for being a arrogant snot before. you come when I command and you come Immediatly."
Another shot, left wrist.
"When I tell you to do something, you do it."
Third, just for insult, right in the a**.
"And you better have a DAMN good reason why that fledgling isn't here, or I'm going to show you some real pain."
So he leaned on his desk, setting the pistol aside, and looked at Marx, motioning for him to come in and close the doors, walking over by Xearus.
"Now take Marx for example here. I summon him, he comes right away. I send him to get you, he fetches you and comes right back like a good boy. You really should take after him more, learn your place, and your manners. So. what happened to the fledgling?"

Oh yeah there it was, that punishment. So what he was going to get shot? But searing pain knocked him to a knee as his calf was shot through. OH hell...silver. Xearus should of expected that. Wrist and a** shots followed. But he didn't once call out, only sunk his fangs into this lip. "b*****d..."
He looked up, to Darvien, shaking slightly from searing silver. "But I'm no dog who cringes under your boot. I'm no young blood afraid of you either." They both knew that Darvien wouldn't kill him. Perhaps Xearus' master had know that when he turned him.
"The fledgling wandered into Blackrose territory. Her fault, I wasn't going to go save her. She was already dead when I got there, just a pile of ash with a few Blackroses around it." Damn silver hurt like a b***h.

Marx looked at Xearus with contempt. Disrespecting his Lord's, disrespecting him, even disrespecting his Lord's faith in him. He had to retract that urge to bring his boot's heel down upon his head. Instead he took this chance to leave and take his anger out on something.
"Lord Adriks, if you'll excuse me, there are things I must prepare for tomorrow's engagments." He shot a look at Marx and left the room, closing the door softly. He found a janitor in one of the bathrooms and led him outside into an alley. There he brutally killed him. Feeling better he washed the walls of the blood, disposed of the body and went back to his refridgerated room.

"Wandered into Blackrose territory, and was already ash when you found her. How nice to hear that."
A crunch as a shoe stepped on that shot wrist.
"How many Roses where there. and I would prefer you didn't use such profanity. I am hardly a 'b*****d'. you can address my by my title. However, since you claim she was already gone, that's a pity. maybe if you spent less time wasting and more time working, you'd have gotten there in time to spare her that fate."
His foot came off the wrist, and he moved back to his desk, opening the drawer again and takign out a device to remove bullets, the handle in leather, the rest made of silver, and he walked back over, and pried the bullet out of his a** first.
"You should be lucky your useful, or I'd stake you for the sun."
Bullet in the calf came next, then the one in the wrist.
"Now drag yourself out of my sight and get yourself cleaned up. and then you can come clean your blood off the floor as well."

A hiss as he gritted his teeth as the boot crunched his wrist. Damn skinny teenage wrists."Three. There were three of them....Lord Adrik." Of course he was obliging him. This was hell, he was hurting and he was half starved. "She was far dead before I can upon her...they were just poking at her pitiful pile of ashes. No fledgling who wanders is worth trouble."
Darvien couldn't fault that. And then he had to go and take out the bullets...how nice of the vampire lord. Still, not a noise to satisfy him. It was times like this that Xearus cursed being stuck in this body. If he was bigger...silver wouldn't hurt so much...he was sure of that. "Yeah, pity for me."
Xearus of course had to show his worth though. And even though seething mad over silver he pushed himself to his feet to stand with perfect posture...just to throw it in Darvien's face. "Yes...Lord Adrik..." Begrudgingly said in words that had acid. Then he spit some blood on the nice clean floor, turned and walked out to do what he was told. "I best get food for this Darvien..."

Semara stood over Xearus making sure all of the burning silver was removed from his wounds. He looked so cute in his wee little dark green boxers and she could not help but snicker once more, "So, he shot you in the a**." The statement had to be made since that is the wound she had been earlier tending.
After finishing she gave his butt a friendly pat near the wound and stepped back. "How cute and sweet you look when demeaned." Yes, she was being rather cruel, but meant no real harm to her friend. She just liked to poke at a particular insecurity. She let loose the long, dark hair she had put up to keep out of the way and combed it back with her nails.

"Be an a**, get shot in the a** I guess." He gave a shrug and a pick at his fangs with a finger. Then sat down with a cringe, damn silver. Xearus gave a scowl to her. He knew she picked at him and often she didn't mean it. It was a odd friendship to say the least, he couldn't figure why he tolerated her. But she did have her moments.
And he stretched out his leg on his bed, grabbing another patch of gauze and some medical tape, throwing it to the female vampire. "Do this one too for me will ya?" That said he took to patching his own left wrist. Well...he didn't hurt as much anymore but he was still hungry.

"That would be how it generally goes, so you ask for it every time." She clucked her tongue against her fangs and shook her head catching the guaze and tape. "You bring it on yourself. Too bad your childish look neglects to earn you sympathy, it really is useless except for entertainment." Taking the gauze she tended that wound wihtout much care, making sure to wrap it tight. She could be rather callous sometimes too, an odd cheerful callousness. When she finished that one she patted it too then ruffled his hair kidishly. "Just be a good little boy next time." A thought that she lost a friend to being a good little girl, but that thought passed from her face after an instant.
"What did you do wrong, not do, or say "with a tone" this time? Hopefully not something stupid."

He basically shoved her off him after he deemed her done with him. "Would you stop patronizing me? Can't help if I got ******** turned to be like this." Oh yes, that ever present rising anger in his voice as she prodded him on it. Then a hiss as she ruffled his hair. "I said quit it Semara!"
Now he was brooding, as well as ace wrapping his wrist to give it more support as bones knitted back together. Another pick at his fangs then he dropped his feet to the floor and went about pulling his pants on. "Darvien sent me to find a lost fledgling. I didn't come back with one."

After making a few phone calls, the new janitor would be in by tomorrow morning. It was a mistake to kill one out of anger and now that the emotion has passed he could now think clearly. He placed his black book of employees away and got up from his chair. He went to the wall phone and punched in some numbers. The lone security guard on the midnight shift picked up and after a few soothing words Marx met him outside his door.
A quick strike to the neck knocked him out and he crumpled to Marx's feet. Lifting him up onto his shoulder he found the room where Xearus and placed the man down by the door. Marx thought about what he was doing and why he was. There was something he didn't like about Xearus, his impudence toward Lord Adrik, or maybe it was just his arrogant nature. Either way he'd find out tonight. He gently gave a little knock on the door.
