"Skellington, thats a nice name too." She said, the snake and mouse finally stopping their game of tag to sit before her.
"Wow, we really are alike." She said with a laugh, "Yeah, everyone either attacks me or runs away... You're the first one in a long time to actually speak to me in some way other than threats." She said, looking around.
"Did you make these tunnels all by yourself?"

"Yes, same for me. Indeed, I forged these tunnels over many years of my lifetime. I put my blood, sweat, and tears into digging this labyrinth." Skellington declared proudly, holding his paw up and pointng out the many stitches and scars etched onto his paws.
He walked over to a small chest in the corner, the box decorated with fine silk and golden beads. He opened the chest, a sad lullaby pouring out from the music box.
"I've been..." Skellington sniffed, "T-Terribly lonely down beneath civilization. I fear I'm alone the world, but alas, I am. But who am I to tell you this? You very likely have your own problems with life, and I respect that.

Kuzimu looked in wonder at the beautiful chest, it was very nice, but the sound it made was oh so sad... She cocked her head curiously at Skellington, what was he doing?
"You're not alone Skellington, and your problems are the same as mine, you don't need to be sad." She said simply, wondering why that music seemed to change him, but then again, he could have just been acting.

Skellington seemingly broke away from his trance, shutting the music box.
"Sorry, that box always makes me feel different than usual. I hate being sad, but I can't seem to stop opening it. Eh heh?" he said, returning to his normal cheerful self.
Skellington laughed playfully, looking back up at Kuzimu with a happy smile.
"Thank you, Kuzimu. You're the only one who's ever listened to me, who's ever understanded me." he said with a bit of an embarassed blush.

"Well then, maybe you shouldn't open it, it seems almost addicting from what you say." She said with a shrug. "But so long as you can close it eventually it can't be too bad."
"Same, same. We have a lot in common Skellington." She laughed, "You almost look like a skeleton yourself, very nice."

Skellington nodded in agreement, gazing at the music box.
"Yes, I am a bit skeletal looking, aren't I? I know you might think I'm crazy, but...I lost part of my soul to a demon in that cursed box." he admitted, switching his gaze to the ground.
Skellington suddenly cried out in pain as the music box began rattling and shaking like mad. He collapsed to the ground and felt like a sharpened sword had been stabbed through his gut. He writhed as words began etching themselves on a nearby wall, the bloody poem of his curse gleaming.
'The bleeding pain that befell him,
The whip that refused to kill him,
The darkness that had invaded his soul,
His heart that would remain forever unwhole.
Can you fill the empty cavity?
Can you repair the damage of a tragedy?
Cannot tell... cannot tell...
Deeper inside the darkness delves.'

"That's terrible!" Kuzimu said, she couldn't immagine losing part of her soul... Then it happened, she screamed too as he fell to the ground. She almost didn't notice the words on the wall, she was too worried about Skellington.
Eventually she looked around and saw them, the poem that stated what his curse was... She read it and yelled at it, "I will help him! Listen, demon, let him go! I will not let you hurt him!" She screamed at the top of her lungs.
"LET HIM GO!"

The music box burst open as black smoke bean twisting into a bat-like shape, the demon glaring at Kuzimu and laughing.
"What will you do to stop me?" it cackled.
The demon held a hand out at Skellington, the Tocou had mustered the strength to stand up despite the pain. Skellington was immediately slammed against the wall, and the demon turned to Kuzimu. He also held out his hand, but Skellington pushed Kuzumi out of the way and took the blow himself, being slammed against another wall. Various cuts were on his body now, blood leaking from the side of his mouth.
"Be careful, or he'll get you too!" he shouted.

"Leave him alone!" She shouted as he took the blow for her, "I'm not afraid of you, demon!"
"I will do what ever it takes to stop you, I won't let you hurt him anymore!" She hissed, lunging towards the demon, the dead snake hissing and slithering around the demon, as the rats attempted to climb on him and bite him. Her weapons were very limited as of now, but she had to try.

The demon roared irritatedly, trying to shake off the monster's foes. Skellington ran at the music box, only to be swiped away by the demon's muscular paw.
"The music box! You've got to get at the music box!" he yelled to Kuzimu.
He repeatedly charged at the cursed artifact, also being repeatedly swiped away.

Kuzimu did as he said, charging straight at the box with all her strength, she wasn't sure what she had to do, but smashing it to bits seemed like a good plan. She left the snake and rats behind to distract the demon, her eyes glowing firey red all the while.
Kuzimu was in range, she kept going full force, intending to tackle the box and destroy it.

The demon wailed as the box was tackled, the music box shattering ino pieces. A huge hole appeared in the demon's stomach, a little orb bounding out and approaching Skellington.
"I am not through!! Uruvion WILL squash you, pitiful insects! I will-" The demon was cut short as he fizzled out, exploding as it rained ash.
Skellington fainted as he experienced the same pain as the demon. He began seeing spots before his eyes, before his eyes drooped and he became unconscious.

Kuzimu panted heavily as she watched the demon explode, it would seem that he was gone... At least for now, however she shreaked as she saw Skellington feel his pain, and fall to the ground.
"Skellington! Oh no, what have I done?!" She panted in a panicked tone, "No, no..." She sighed, feeling his body. He wasn't dead, she knew that, but mearly unconscious. It still hurt her to see him go through so much pain... The only one who was ever nice to her.
"Skellington... Skellington wake up." She urged, nudging him lightly with a paw. "You'll be alright, that thing is gone..."

Skellington coughed harshly, coughing up a bit of blood and slowly regaining consciousness after a few minutes. He very slowly opened one of his eyes, looking up at Kuzimu. The orb that had shot out of the demon vibrated and glowed dimly, rolling against Skellington. The orb was actually part of the soul Skellington had lost to Uruvion, and it was trying to reunite with its other part.

"Are you alright there?" She asked gently, looking at him sadly. She wouldn't have noticed the orb if it hadn't moved, but she backed away from it slowly. She didn't know what it was, and wasn't too keen on touching it.
"Skellington... What is that?"
