Sehani searched the lands as her son did. Like him, she didn't want to waste her time on small prey like birds or rabbits. She liked the big, juicy things that could feed her and her son for days upon days. That was the sort of food she really cared about. Why waste her energy on food that wouldn't be able to give her all that energy back? It seemed pointless, in her mind.
Her concentration was disrupted, however, when Gharadi remembered something Zoo had told him to tel her. Glancing over at him, she smiled and nodded. "I think that's a good idea. It's about time I head back there and see what's become of the place."
Her attention then snapped immediately back to their hunting. Her stomach was feeling a bit empty by now, and she was anxious to fill it up with bloody, juicy, tastey meat.
"I'm not sure, Gharadi," she admitted. "They could be by some water... it's fairly hot now and it's about the time they'd be heading to get a drink somewhere." And suddenly she had an idea. Ponds and watering holes were always prime locations for finding something to eat. Of course! Why hadn't she thought of it before?
Grinning, she jumped forward and quickly padded on. "Come on, Gharadi," she called. "It's time to get us some lunch."

He was glad that his mother would go back with him next time, would be nice, his sister an mother together in the same place, so he wouldn't have to worry about running back and forth to be with both. Gharadi's stomach rumbled and he blinked, darn. Why was he so hungry today?
Water. Water sounded good right about now.
Gharadi's eyes widened as Sehani jumped forward and moved along faster, "Wait for me!" he called as he caught up with her and tried to keep up a steady yet faster pace. "I think there's some water over there mom, by the trees," He said making a motion with his head in that direction. He hoped that his assumption was correct.
He was starving.

Trotting along, the lioness attempted to locate some source of water. Find water, she thought to herself, and you'll find food. Prey animals were often stupid enough to gather in large numbers by watering holes. But hey, she wasn't complaining. It just meant easier hunting for her and her son.
Distracted by Gharadi's voice, she flicked her ears then moved her head to look at him. He had said something about water being in a certain direction. She didn't know if he was right, but she didn't have any other idea on which way they should go. Finding her choices being very limited, she nodded then turned to head in the direction that he had motioned towards.
"Alright, let's go," she called to him, flicking her tail.
Moving in the direction he had said, the gray lioness covered quick ground with her steady pace. And it seemed like her son was holding up well and keeping up. Good. He'd need stamina and strength during hunts.
Rounding over a small hill, she then saw what appeared to be a watering hole. Brightening a little, she purred and nudged her son. "Good work," she praised him.

Gharadi continued along behind his mother, being cautious to try and not step on any twigs or shuffle any rocks that could make their presence known to any prey that might be nearby. He was pumped that he might get to make his first real today, and alongside his mother, it would be grand, surely it would.
As they came to an area close to the water he crouched down adn scooted up next to Sehani, tail flicking back adn forth. His chest puffed out a bit after hearing his mother prasie him. So he was doing good, that was good, and he was glad.
He didn't see anything right off, he wondered if it was because of how the clouds were shading the area, maybe they were in the shadows, "Where are they mom? I was sure something would be here..." he said in a saddened defeated tone.
He really wanted to get something big today.

Sehani glanced all around the watering hole. Nothing seemed to be here. The sun was high up in the middle of the sky and beating down upon the creatures of the earth. Only... the only creatures that seemed to be there were her and her son. It was rather weird. She'd have thought that the herd animals would have stopped here for a drink.
"They should have been here," she mumbled, thinking out loud. Gharadi seemed puzzled as well. Flicking her tail, she moved forward slightly. Where were the prey?
"Maybe we just have to wait, son," she suggested, though she wasn't quite sure that was the thing. Perhaps there were no herds around here. Or perhaps some other predator had got to them before her and her son and so had kept them off of their normal course towards the watering hole.
Sitting down, she then sank down on her belly and watched the watering hole. If something didn't appear any time soon, then they'd simply move on and search elsewhere.

Gharadi frowned in his mind but kept a smile upon his maw so that his mother wouldn't get too distressed. He lay down beside her, close to her side and rested his head on his paws, just watching. Flicking his tail he watched, nothing seemed to be happening, but the sun, the sun made him feel warm and drowsy, perhaps they could both go out again after a nap?
"Mom...could we maybe...take a nap before we move from here?" he was sort of tired from running back and forth, and perhaps when he was well rested he would have enough strength and speed to run down some prey.
He snuggled up closer to his mother and half shut his eyes, his eye lids getting heavy, he yawned, his fangs gleaming in the sunlight and then lay his head down again. Curling his tail around himself he shut his eyes fully now, perhaps he could just rest his eyes a bit.

Sehani purred to her son.
"Of course we can rest," she said softly, her tail flicking protectively around him as he curled up close to her. She was amazed more and more at how loved and wanted he made her feel. Without him... well, she probably wouldn't have lasted long out here. She realized then that family was the most important thing in her life. She wouldn't let it go without a strong fight.
"Just rest for now, my son," she purred, licking the top of his head gently. Afterwards, she rested her head on him comfortably and closed her eyes as well, letting herself drift off and get some rest.
