You know, I never really got why most earthbenders can't bend metal. Earth isn't just rocks people!

It's like a level of bending.
Example:
Fire 1 is simply throwing fire balls and controlling fire.
Fire 2 is shooting lightning.
Water 1 is just bending water.
Water 2 is making ice.
Earth 1 is controlling rocks.
Earth 2 is metal.
Air 1 is simply air.
Air 2 is "I have abolutely no idea.

I have a character named Fonda who's an earthbender except she doesn't live in the Avatarverse, but in a world of my own creation.
She's extremely powerful. She'd be really fond of Toph if the two ever met.

I think that, for Air, level one is air, and level two could be sound. Possibly thunder. I read this one fanfic where Aang used his Airbending to help carry the sound of his voice over the sound of a storm.

Toph is like MAJOR powerful. She can bend metal, make the ground explode, AND hold up a sinking building. And her using her blindness to screw around with people is absolutley hilarious.

Midnightmist1028 toph is so strong its sickening Sickening? I wouldn't say that... Though it IS bordering the Mary-Sue line... But Toph is NOT a Mary Sue. Great, now I'm contradicting myself. I should stop talking now.

Oh yeah, remember in Imprisoned, Aang said, "I wish I could make a hurricane!" Lol. I once read this fanfic where the gang was stuck on some island looking for Appa, and Aang and Katara were arguing a lot. They got so emotional that they accidentally created a tropical storm with their bending. It was pretty cool.
