lola_siannodel Zuko isn't a good enough fire bender to teach Aang, though. Iroh would make a beter teacher quote] WHAT???!!! hold up people, lets remember something; Zuko is a very good firebender. He just isn't on his sisters level, cant live up to his fathers expectations, as we've all seen can be a bit extreme. But now Zuko is going to be Aangs teacher because come on...this doesn't even need special theories. As great of a show as Avatar is, it still has the basic stereotype storyline that we all know only great characters and careful execution can make worth watching. There is always a misunderstood "villan" (I.E. Zuko) that comes to help the good guys (Aang Gang) against the true "villans" (I.E. Ozai and Azula) Okay so can we please quit acting like Zuko going to be the firebending teacher is gonna be a surprise? Thanks, anyway. First off, Aang began learning Waterbending from Katara who was self-taught and barely that, since she was the ONLY WATERBENDER in the South pole. She couldnt even manuever water into a whip!!! when he met her, but they picked it up together. Aang is a bending prodigy so he doesn't need an expert to teach him, he learned fire creation technique from Jhong-Jhong, even though he couldn't manage control. Zuko can control fire, its his temper that always slips. Zuko is a good fire bender, remember he fought Katara and Zhao in the season one finale, both of whom are considered master benders, and he won both times! He beat Zhao in the beginning of the first season during their duel, lets not forget that either.

Maybe what will happpen:
Iro will become Aang's teacher while Zuko probably sulks around and everything becuase he's close to the Avatar and getting back his honor,
but yet so far because Iro wont let him.

He is a great man.
Sure he has some wieght on him and he likes to drink tea alot, but still he is a great fire bender scream

No doubt Zuko will become Aang's Firebending teacher. Or Iroh. But I really think it's going to be Zuko. Iroh can't manage to travel so much anymore - he's becoming a very old man. Iroh has no where to go. Surely he won't stay in Ba Sing Se, but then again, he might, because of his tea shop. It'd be obvious to the Dai Lee that the best tea maker in town went missing. But Iroh won't be able to teach such an active and hands-on student like Aang, unlike Zuko. Zuko is only sixteen (not seventeen) and Iroh is... old.

True that is ironic. But anyhow, the love relationships stand thus, Aang & Katarra, Sokka & Toph/Suki, and Zukko & Jin. That is the way they are, and that is the way they'll end. Iroh in my opinion is no longer in the picture, especially after hi most recent fight with Azula. He will either die, or he will settle down in Ba Sing Se in his tea shop and become a severely minor character, and be only mentioned, and hardly seen. But yes eventually Zuko will join the team, they will go to Ozai, and Aang will kick his maniaclly evil butt. Also as for Zuko not living up to his father's expectations, Zuko is softer than anyother firebender, besides his uncle. So in truth Zuko is better than all of Ozai, Azula, Zhao, and any others, just because of how soft he really is. He is only rough on the outside, and truly soft on the inside, in all truth and honetsy, I think Zuko hates what his father is doing and resents the hell out of him for it.

I do agree that is ironic. But he's a wise old man of Fire Nation. Fire Nation who are wise will always change within a blink of an eye to survive, unless, for Iroh, it comes to Ginseng or any type of tea. On the other hand, Zuko and Azula would never do that.

mrgreen Zuko will be good and then teach the avitar fire bending and then he wiil go against his father and then he will become the new better fire lord!!!!! >> or so I wish..
evil you cannot make me believe Jet is dead!!!!!! ^^ he will be back...
o.o... if he is dead I hope he will come back as a ghost and help aang defeat the evil fire lord.
