Although Seifer is a talented fighter and leader, he's regarded as problematic because of his short tempered attitude and inability to properly follow orders. However, there's something dignified in his bearing that nobody else has.
Seifer realises Squall is gifted, so being a very jealous person he is very envious and even paranoid of him. He is a very competitive fighter, only settling on victory at everything he does. Although he has a tense rivalry with Squall, they do hold a certain respect for each other.

Bio:Born with the name "Nanaki" (ナナキ) he believes himself to be the last of a race sworn to protect their home of Cosmo Canyon with their very lives. Despite his appearance and somewhat aloof personality, he is actually an adolescent by his species' standards, possessed as they are of incredible longevity. Nanaki believed that his father, Seto, had been a coward who abandoned Cosmo Canyon during a war with the now-extinct Gi Tribe, leaving the tribes to fight on their own.
