The fact that your changing your sex has nothing to do with it either. Now a days plastic surgeons can change nearly every physical some mental aspects of the human body. It isn't sex change alone but plastic surgeory in general that should be in question.

Chrono_Tata It's a legal thing. It would be neccessary if the government wants to track down someone. i guess, but it just seems a little odd otherwise

I've never had a name change, so I'm not 100% sure of this, but if you change your name, isn't your original name kept and needs to be mentioned occationally in some way? If this is true, then I guess you can relate your sex change to being similar.

On records, they have the gender you were born as listed. Even through a sex change, a person is still born a certain gender, so that's what they will pretty much be considered all their life. Plus, the legal records, in case if they are running from a crime. They go by what you're born as, basically.

Thule_wil_rocketh [[I understand and agree that it does seem a little pointless, but say if you comitted a crime whilst female and then had a sex change. Then the police would be trying to find a female, when you're actually a male now. I think this is why they put your sex change on your passport.]] i think shes saying that they dont change the sex on the passport They should say it though... just mention it: F (trans)

If you do it legally, well you have to order a new passport and cards I heard of this one girl, her name is Hymen, she should consider that name change

I guess if someone was trying to find someone that would be kinda helpful, but I don't understand if a person is now "female" or "male" why would it matter what they looked like in the past? *confused*

Chaotic AngeI Well why's that, I mean there people, they just believe that they were born into the wrong gender. think about it....say your friend had a sex change...and had some feelings for you....{back shivers} I mean it would be really creapy!

TheTease I guess if someone was trying to find someone that would be kinda helpful, but I don't understand if a person is now "female" or "male" why would it matter what they looked like in the past? *confused* The answer is yes, mainly for reasons such as police work. If you were a fugitive and you changed your appearance or gender the police would want/need a way to track you down. It makes me wonder about people who've undergone significant plastic surgery though...

being able to change gender is a miracle itself. but i find it weird. knowing that that woman in front of you was once a man, is quite strange. but if they are really unhappy with the gender they have and want to change, then that is their choice.

I read some where that sometimes the body can reject when you get those types of changes because it didn't have them at birth so tries to rid them of it. I heard from someone also that a guy got breasts then a year later her got breast cancer then died. (I donno if its true or not though.)
I wanted to get a sex change once from a male to a female....but I changed my mind. I figure I can make my self comfortable being male by using female things. (example, clothes) I also feel there was a reason why I was male instead of female, but yet have both quilities of both sexes that most people refuse to acknowlage.
Its very strange....alot of guys tend to think I am a girl and in fact I even had some guys say they really liked me but they only like girls and said I was the only guy they ever liked. I think its because I feel more female then male or something....it seems of the transexual type of personality yet....I haven't had any type of sex change to make them feel attracted to me, they just are lol. WEIRD!
