Urishima Kazama I like Metallica, except their songs are like minimum of an hour! lol, okay maybe 6 mins... Master of Puppets is osm. I heard Orion, its not bad either. I am planning on getting abunch of Metallica for Christams and have Ride The Lighting now. Do yourself a favor and look into some doom metal instead. Or he can skip that and go strauight to DEATH Metal. Or just go right to BLAKK METHUL. Wait, how do you skip doom metal and get death metal? confused if death metal and what not is screamo, i am already there. GO AREYU! GO HAILFAX! GO UNDEROATH! GO ZAO! and go Metallica! Yeah, I really have no idea... I still like 'em.

I was actually listening to Metallica when I saw this thread!
I think they're very good. I believe that they're better than Megadeth anyway. But that's because I don't exactly like Dave Mustaine.
Well anyway, I'm getting off subject. Metallica are very good! My favourite song would have to be One, but that's like...a bajillion hours long. Actually, it's a littler more tahn seven minutes, but that's basically the same thing...

Gerbos I was actually listening to Metallica when I saw this thread! I think they're very good. I believe that they're better than Megadeth anyway. Or just go right to BLAKK METHUL. Wait, how do you skip doom metal and get death metal? Black metal is for pussies who are one step away from becoming emos. DEATH Metal is one notch above Doom metal in heaviness. Urishima Kazama if death metal and what not is screamo, i am already there. GO AREYU! GO HAILFAX! GO UNDEROATH! GO ZAO! All those bands are Screamo bands. When I said DEATH Metal I meant the following bands: Cannibal Corpse Six Feet Under Suffocation Obituary Gates of Ishtar Dismembered Fetus Morbid Angel Regurgitation Immortal Dominion

It's Dave Mustaine himself that annoys me, not his guitar playing. I admit the fact that he's a good guitar player, but I just don't like him.

Let me educate the idiots about what Screamo is.
Screamo is just another more heavier form of EMO (yes that is a sub genre of rock music). The main differences is that Screamo stresses more on the heavy vocal tones rather than melodic tones which is what most of EMO music is about. Also Screamo bands tend to play faster than EMO but in essence is pretty much the same as EMO.
Screamo is NOT metal and doesn't even come close to that genre. Screamo at best is to be catagorized as alt. rock although some bands come close to being hard rock at best. Screamo bands have no metal influences/elements which set the sub genre apart from metal at least 10,000 lightyears.

I don't exactly want to argue. I'm not saying that I can't hold my own if this does become an arguement... I just don't like arguing. Let's just settle, before this escalates into flaming. This is my opinion, and you have your own, let's just leave it at that.

I always wondered why people capitalize the word emo.
in simpler terms, screamo (also called emo violence or skram) is just emo with grindcore influence.
Notable bands include City Of Caterpillar, Pg. 99, and Usurp Synapse (even though I'm not really sure about US. xP).

The fact that both the Emo and Screamo genres shouldn't really be genres at all. Why the hell not? Punk is distinguishable from rock. Hardcore is distinguishable from punk. Emo is distinguishable from hardcore. Screamo is distinguishable from emo. If we're going to discount all that, then rock, metal, and hip-hop shouldn't be genres, either.
