Time seemed to come to a stop as he watched the blaster bolt race toward his target, only to be effortlessly be blocked by his lightsaber. Somehow deep down Terak knew this plan of action would never work, he was very foolish to even try it. Before he could react though he was caught in the classic force choke, made famous by one of the most notorius Sith the galaxy had ever seen...Darth Vader. "Now you will tell me, where is Darth Belial!!!!!" Terak looked him straight in the eyes, "he's....uuugghk....dead!!! Just like me!!" Terak raised the blaster still in his hand and put it to his temple, "I'll never...*cough*....give you the pleasure....Sith!!!"

High above Nar Shaddaa, Vari's ship jumped into orbit. It glided down towards the landing platform. The radio crackled on;
"Confirm,"
"Diplomat Vari, requesting landing."
"Proceed."

As the ship set down, Vira opened the hatch. At once the foul smell of Nar Shaddaa hit her nose. She tried not to cough, taking a deep breath and walking down to the platform.
ARCHIVE beeped, following her with the same disgust. Its sensors could pick up the various smell although it couldn't actually smell them. Vira waved for the droid to follow as she headed towards the city streets.
"Diplomat Vira, we have been waiting," two officials stated. Vira would hesitate to call them officials. Other than the uniforms they were scum and thugs. She nodded.
"I understand you are to conduct me to my quarters while ARCHIVE deilvers my message."

ARCHIVE hovered off at he words. The two officials nodded, one trying a half bow while the other slouched as normal. Vira walked quickly between the two of them and headed to her quarters.
The followed her until she had walked safely inside. Then she waved them off, stepping inside and sitting down. She looked over the dress laid out for her by Nar Shaddaa's government. It actual looked fine.
She took a shower, letting the water roll down her skin while she waited.

She rinsed her hair with some shampoo, then scrubbed herself wih the soap. The water was just the right temperature. With a smile she shut of the water and stepped out of the shower.
Vira dried her hair with a towel, the softly patted her body to warm it. Setting a bathrobe loosely across her shoulders she began to drift around her apartment. She hummed and waited for ARCHIVE to return.
A small scrap at her door brought her back to reality. She leaned down to her night stand, pulling the hold-out blaster from her old clothing and approaching the door.

ARCHIVE beeped as she opened up the door. She smiled and patted the droid, letting it slide inside.
"You spooked me," she said, sitting down as the door slid shut. She lounged back, stretching her legs out under the bathrobe. ARCHIVE whistled as she did, bobbing errecticly.
"Whom ever programed you was a little eccentric, wasn't he?" Vira laughed. ARCHIVE gave a low beep.
"Oh come on, don't be sad."

She continued to comfort the little droid as she waited. Meanwhile... "Oh my, who arrived?" the Twi'lek grinned, running a hand over the screen. Behind him three armed guards stood over a helpless woman. In front of him a droid nodded.
"She is very pretty. Why is she here?"
"Bring her in. Maybe we ca deal with her."
"I don't care. Bring her."

The doorbell rang quietly. Vira stood up, getting the blaster off the table and putting it in her pocket. She made sure to tie her robe shut and approached the door. It slid open.
She was unprepared from the scruffle that happened afterwards. Three gangsters, two Gemmorians and a human, broke into the room. Vira drew the hold-out blaster, firing into the first one. With pig like squeals it died.
In response the two others seized her arms, forcing them behind her back. She cursed as they began to drag her away.
"I am a Diplomat. You unhand me you ruffians!" she ordered them as they left her quarters. "ARCHIVE! go get help!"

ARCHIVE froze for a moment. Then with a low whistle it followed the strugging diplomat and her captures. Neither of the two saw the little droid, to preoccupied with the Echani.
They dragged her to a speeder and got in, still holding her. One produced cuffs for her while the other forced her arms into them. Now chained by the cuffs she sat helpless while they began to drive.
ARCHIVE dived as the speeder began to move, stuffing itself into the Speeder's back seat. The buildings flashed by as they headed towards Rito Grel's secret base.

Vira calmed down. She needed to form a plan before they arrived where ever she was being dragged. Without her sword or blaster she could not risk a conflict with more tha one person.
The two gangsters talked to each other while they sped by. They passed several buildings she did not recognize. Vira made sure to memorize some of them so she could find her way back. Where ever ARCHIVE was, she would need his help too. Maybe if she got a comlink she could call him.
Meanwhile....
The droid continued to watch the gangster. His painting wa peeled, as old as he was. A dry, grey metal lay beneath stripes of red and black. At his "hip" was a blaster pistol. Strapped to his back was a blade.
"Good," Rito laughed, typing on his datapad. He turned to one of his assistance and whispered. "Move shipment A9 to cargo ship 9823."
"Even better," Rito frowned at the droid. "You are annoying me with your constant chatter."
"I don't know. She just looks delicious to me," Rito growled. "Stop bothering me, WAR-121."

The speeder stopped and one of the thugs grabbed Vira. She was lifted and carried towards a door. She glanced around at the little back alley and cursed junder her breath. The two thugs growled at her and went into he building.
As they left, ARCHIVE hovered out of the speeder, chirping as it floated to a small grate. A little laser pincher slid out of its ball-body. With expert aim ARCHIVE opened the grate and flew in. The tiny droid made its way towards what it needed.
Meanwhile...
"Good, bring her in so I can... smell her," Rito laughed at his own joke. WAR-121 didn't find it funny and refused to join in.
"Just shut up and send her in."

Vira was forced into a room and let go. Still in cuffs she stood in her bathrobe. In the room stood three guards standing over a young woman. The captive she presumed. A droid stood next to a sitting Twi'lek.
"Rito Grel I assume," she noted, standing confidently. "I will submit a protest to the galactic authority. This is not the way to conduct a diplomat."
"Diplomat?" Rito pretended to ignorant. "I am here to collect the rent on your apartment. I know nothing about a diplomat."
"I am Vira of the Republic, here to negotiate for the return of your hostage," Vira took a step forward.
WAR-121 announced.
"I am sorry. I have been authorized to deal with you. What are your demands?"

"A trade, The Republic folded faster than expected. Must be growing weak again," Rito cackled. "What would the Republic offer for the daughter of a tycoon?"
"Three million republican credits."
"Twice what I asked for. Why are your really here?"
"To solve this problem."
Meanwhile...
ARCHIVE opened anothe grate and hovered towards the hangar. Rito had a ship in his hangar. A ship tha had crashed on this world and its computer shut down. With a whistle the small droid plugged into it and began to work.

"Perhaps we could talk more comfortaly if you removed these cuffs," Vira suggested. Rito shook his head.
"I don't think so," Rito grinned. "You will remain in cuffs. I must say I admire your choice of attire."
"I had little choice. Do you except my offer? Three million..."
"No damn it, I want six million!"
"I am sorry, I can raise it to four, no more."
"You are a liar," Rito could tell she was still trying to hold a few aces. "Five million."
"Four."
"Perhaps you would like to take her place?"
ARCHIVE cut the power.

When the lights shut off the only light came from the energy around her cuffs. Vira jumped high, taking Rito by surprise and knocking him into the wall. The guards tried to take aim as the Echani moved through the darkness. The first one went down to a double punch to his nose.
Vira pickedup his blaster and fired, killing the second easily. A blaster rifle sprayed fire towards her, one blast cutting her arm and another into her leg. With a groan she fire back at whom ever it was shooting.
Vira ducked behind the desk and waited.
WAR-121 was cut off as ARCHIVE killed his power supply. Vira nodded and grabbed the woman, shooting the next person.
"ARCHIVE, call for the strike team."
