Although he did well to hide it, Dalibor was perceptive enough to notice the subtle changes within the vampire that indicated his dislike and jealously over the situation. In truth Dalibor had expected nothing less, and probably would have acted the same if their positions were reversed. "Does it pull at your heartstrings that such a delectable morsel doesn't give you the time of day? That you fight alongside her, risk you life for her, and in return you get nothing?". He continued to grin wickedly as his torment continued; his tone sing-song in nature and laced with delight. Elongated fangs continued to caress her neck, pressing harder and leaving indents in their wake. "No point in having travelled this far and not tasting the crimson nectar that flows through these veins, is there" Dalibor stated matter-of-factly, lifting his teeth from her neck before leering at Marc and driving them deeply into Selene's flesh.

Instantly her veins relinquished their burden, the dark liquid flowing freely into Dalibor's mouth. Blood memories flashed through Dalibor's mind, ones he would dwell upon later, but for the moment his eyes closed themselves in his rapture. Marc's word barely sounded over the frantic drumming heartbeat the resounded within his head, Dalibor's ecstasy coming to an abrupt halt as a sharp pain erupted from his shoulder. His teeth tore themselves free of Selene's neck, hands releasing their hold upon her in favour of grasping the weapon that now protruded from his shoulder. "Your rather craftier then I gave you credit for" the hybrid hissed through bloodstained lips.

A surprised and pained cry escaped the usually steadfast vampiress as fangs were driven into her flesh, chestnut orbs rapidly changing to a vibrant, feral blue. She could feel her blood hastily leaving her, could feel the grotesque man's lips sucking and lapping around his fangs. While she continued to struggle, her efforts proved fruitless as the enemy only tightened his hold upon her. Selene turned her eyes to Marc in time to hear his words and witness his attack upon Dalibor, her lips parting in an unuttered cry of pain as teeth was swiftly torn from her neck. With the hybrid distracted, Selene was quick to retrieve her pistols and skirt away from their distracted foe. Re-holstering one of her weapons Selene pressed her freehand to the still freely bleeding wound that marred her neck, staunching the bleeding as best she could. Her already pallid skin seemed to have lightened several shades from the sudden blood loss, and although she was loathed to admit it she was now uncertain how well she would fair if the battle were to continue. The human, her mind reinformed her, he is still in danger from the lycans. She could hardly leave the mortal to face the lycans and the two new immortals could she?

"We have to ensure the human's safety" she decided, her statement directed at Marc.

Cobalt eyes sparkled with possibilities as all manner of dirty little thoughts paraded through Cyn's head. As the lycan posed his offer, Cyn gnawed upon her lower lips as she considered it. It was tempting, regardless of whether she was to win or not, and after a moment she nodded in agreement. "What would you say if I were tempted to throw the bout?" Cyn asked with a sly smile, before she reverted to discussing the business at hand.

"What're you rules and regulations for this bout?" she asked, lowering her pistol and crossing her arms over her chest.

Marc, enraged that the hybrid managed to sink his teeth into Selene, felt his own fangs lengthen as his blade struck true. It also had the desired effect of freeing Selene, and Marc had two more long blades out (two he had already used that night in the battle against the celestials) to continue the fight. Selene's blood splattered to the floor as Dalibor attempted to complement Marc. The wounded vampire was quick to cover her wound and back away.

Marc heard his new objective, and moved to block the hybrid's vision of Selene. "You find the human, but be weary of the others." With that he thrusted his blades at the hybrid in front of him in a motion that resembled a drill. His blades would move in whatever motion the hybrid tried to dodge, there would be little chance of escape if the enemy tried anything but fleeing back to the streets. Marc would not let him attack Selene again. Centuries of battle experience over the seemingly younger immortal, gave Marc the edge in tactics and skill. He hoped it would prove to be enough to be victorious.

Shane could see the deep cobalt eyes stirr in thought, and knew that his plan was working. "Throwing the bout would lessen the fun, but we would get to the main event that much sooner." The idea did have some good points, but it would not give him the opportunity he needed to acomplish his mission. Nodding his head to Michael, "Well first we have to decide what to do with him. I suggest that we go outside to duel and leave him here to ponder his fate. I'll need more room to carry about a scuffle properly," the lycan said with his eyes flashing an almost white-blue. With the human left alone on the train, Raze could get him to the den with relative ease. There was no doubt that the other interesting immortal would be too occupied with the vampires to interfere once he got the female occupied in a scuffle.

"Since this will be a fight to determine who does what first...no biting, no weapons, and nothing fatal. The first one on their back loses. How does that sound to you?" Shane wondered how long he would adhere to his own rules once he allowed the animal inside him to take over. He was already hungry for some new tastes.

Selene nodded as Marc issued his warning, withdrawing her hand from around her neck in order to take up her other pistol once more. As her vampire companion dove toward the hybrid once more, Selene skirted behind him and around the pylon - aiming to move behind the advancing lycan whose heavy footsteps could be heard moving toward the vampire pair. Pressing her back against the cold tile Selene moved cautiously around the pillar, glancing around the corners she moved toward despite the ache it caused her. With rapid steps Selene crossed the gap to shelter behind the next column in line, pressing herself firmly against the object as the lycan passed by on his way toward Marc and Dalibor.

From her position, Selene had a clear line of sight through the train's window and to the happenings taking place between another lycan and the odd female character. For the moment the human appeared safe, although how long it would remain that way was uncertain. Both immortals within the train weren't to be trusted with the life they held in their hands, and the lycan on the platform was yet another threat that needed to be neutralized. Slipping her finger on the triggers of her twin weapons, Selene shot from her hiding place and opened fire upon Raze. Catching him unaware would work to her advantage, either serving to drive him off or kill him. At this point Selene was hoping for either.

With his shoulder now free of the toxic silver bullet, Raze moved toward the pillar that he suspected still sheltered the remaining vampires. He had noted the ivory-haired males advance upon the location and had also heard the sharp cacophony of gunfire, which he had hoped was directed toward the vampires rather then against the bloods-suckers new adversary. The barest hint of a smirk crossed his features as he imagined the vampires lying bleeding and broken upon the ground, his musings cut short by a burst of gunfire and white-hot explosions of pain across his back. His feet stumbled beneath him, although the lycan was quick to recover his footing. Snarling in frustration, Raze had little choice but to run and seek solace from the barrage of bullets and was quick to alter his path to lead toward the train.

With the enemy on the run, Selene gave chase. Once he was a considerable distance from both Marc and the hybrid, she would turn her sights to ensuring the safety of Michael. The few remaining mortals in the station scattered in her path, shrieking in terror and ducking for cover. Before her the lycan disappeared through the open doors of the train, the sound of crashing metal indicating that he had rammed the final obstacle out of his way. Not willing to take chase the lycan further then was need Selene moved to stand in the doorframe at the train's rear, firing off several more rounds at the lycans fleeing form. Once she could no longer identify the lycan's form from the darkness, Selene turned upon her heels and headed back down the train to deal with the two immortals that remained between herself and the human.

Just as the vampire's blades were thrust in his direction, Dalibor managed to wrench the blade from his shoulder and parry the initial attack. The weapons continued their onslaught, forcing the hybrid to retreat backwards to avoid their attack. "You know," Dalibor started, still continuing with his pattern of parrying and retreating. "I wouldn't be so worried about me hurting that precious little morsel this time around." He smirked, taking several strides backwards before he continued. "My sibling will be far less lenient should Selene interfere. While I may have toyed with her, Cyn won't hesitate to kill her without warning. Of course if that doesn't matter do you we can continue this fruitless skirmish". Whatever Marc's choice, Dalibor would at least have one other immortal to torment before the night was out. The hybrid briefly wondered whether Marc didn't realize or didn't care that Nathanial still rested upon the stairs, along the same path Dalibor was being driven.

Cyn smiled at the lycan, an expression that was soft and filled with secrets. It really seemed that the man had little idea of the power she possessed, one that should easily be able to overcome his in a scrap. As the moment of the battle inched closer Cyn felt the familiar anticipation well within her, sending a tingle down her limbs. One issue stood in their way, namely what to do with the human. "Seems a rather risky venture if he is indeed so important to you" Cyn replied, watching Raze flee idly out of the corner of her vision. A black-clad figure followed close behind the lycan, the seeming cause of his retreat. A faint grin pulled at the edges of her lips, but was quick to fade as Shane spoke once more.

"May I add human guises only - no transformations?" she more demanded then asked. It would hardly be a fair fight if he allowed himself to succumb and transform into his true beastly state, especially considering the rules would most likely become meaningless if that were to happen. Before Shane was given a chance to answer, Cyn was already looking past him at the rapidly approaching female. "I think we might just be running into another issue preventing our bout" Cyn commented, motioning her head in the direction of the vampire approaching them.

((Note: Raze hasn't fled entirely, he is just merely taken shelther in the subway tunnel for the moment. He can return if needed. Also it is up to you where Selene is in relation to Shane and Cyn. She could be in the next car, entering their car etc - I don't really mind.))

((I'd prefer that she was in the next car, so that there is some time for more dialogue before she takes action. I would prefer that Raze comes back at the right moment.))

Marc knew that Selene was the one who caused the shots ring out. The lycan that was previously without a dueling partner found his. Soon after the shots, Marc could hear the heavy footsteps make their way through a subway car and out into the tunnel. It was pleasing to the vampire warrior that his kind still bore the ability make lycans to flee with their tails between between their legs during a battle. The fact that Selene would have to deal with another lycan and another hybrid did not cross Marc's mind. Neither did he realize that Nathaniel was crumpled on the stairs; the place where his fray was soon heading.

Smelling a different vampire's blood as he forced the hybrid to back up along the stairs, awoke Marc to Nathaniel's body still twisted on the stairs. The cocky child, with all of his talking and smiling, caused Marc to wonder how strong his abilities would be if Marc changed the pace. His opponent had the advantage of elevation, whether he knew it or not, and Marc could bend his style to boost Dalibor's confidence further. It would lead to a grave mistake. Remaining stoic to not reveal differences, he managed to fake a slip in his footing. At the same time, he pulled his twin blades back from a reasonablely solid parry, thus making it appear as if Dalibor was pushing him back on his heels and back towards the previous alcove.

Shane cared little about what shape he would be in after a go with the female, but if it meant that the human would reach Lucian in time, then the pain would be worth it. "The greater the risk, the greater the reward," he stated half-heartedly as he looked toward the lobby to whitness Raze fleeing from the attacks of the female vampire." Smiling back at female in front of him, Shane was quick to recover his focus on the matter at hand. He would just have to stall her until there was more than one of his kind to complete the mission. The human had to be recovered at all costs. It's a shame, Shane thought, that the fate of our race rests upon a mortal.

"No transformations?" He asked to himself as the vampire that chased off Raze was steadily making her way towards the three of them. Reluctantly, the lycan anwsered, "As you wish, then." Cyn's desire for such a rule, got him onto pondering what she could change into. At least he knew that he powers would not come to full unless in her full-form, whatever that may be, which would act in Shane's favor. He could not believe that the vampires were giving him some more time to stall and think. Turning around at Cyn's latest mood-killing statement, Shane asked Cyn, "What do you propose we do with her then?"

"Obviously you care little about Selene" Dalibor continued, shrugging in between parries, "a far cry for the restrained lust and overwhelming jealously you were displaying earlier". The vampire's strikes continued to drive him backwards, his footing shifting from the flat surface of the platform to the raised steps of the stairs. The hybrid smirked at his new advantage, quite aware of the benefits of elevation within a battle. For a moment Dalibor allowed his attention to drift to the fleeing lycan and his pursuer, admiring the strength and radiating from every inch of vampiress being. One day I'll make that strength falter, Dalibor mused before turning his attention back to Marc. As he did so the vampire warrior's footing failed beneath him, and for a moment there was an opening as Dalibor repelled the oncoming attack once more. He had been about to seize the available opportunity when flashes of the evenings earlier incident entered into his mind. This vampire was a tricky one, and Dalibor wasn't about to make another mistake.

Feinting forward, Dalibor brought his blade down swift and true from the high right while at the same time snaking his hand behind his back to the pistol concealed there. In a blur of motion Dalibor had freed the pistol and opened fire upon the unsuspecting vampire. If the barrage didn't kill or severly injure the warrior, then hopefully it would prove enough to drive him back without Dalibor having to give up his elevated advantage.

"Such infectious enthusiasm" Cyn declared rather brightly although her tone was laced with sarcasm and disdain. His half-hearted attitude and brief distraction did allow Cyn some insight into his feature plans, namely that they seemed dependent upon the cowardly lycan. For a moment her gaze shifted to rest upon the human, studying him intently. He didn't appear in any way spectacular, and while she had to admit that there was a rugged attractiveness about him that appeared to be all he had to single him out. Cobalt orbs continued to study his features but found little answers to her questions, the silent reply soon leading her to turn back to the lycan.

The hybrid nodded, russet locks moving along idly with the sudden motion. Her own transformation wasn't quite as impressive as his was sure to be, but it was effective in boosting her power none the less. "She isn't my problem" Cyn replied with a shrug. "I called lycans, so seeing as she is a vampire that makes her Dali's problem - although if she gives me a reason to need to defend myself, I could potentially take self-defense to extreme lengths. Until that happens though, she's your problem". The whole spiel with made in an airy tone, one the beguiled the seriousness of the situation.

"I'm Cyn by the way. Well Cynthia technically, but call me that am I will have to kill you". While her tone remained light and carefree, there was an undertone that left one to judge whether she would follow through with her threat or not. The young women seemed unconcerned that it wasn't exactly the most appropriate time for an introduction.

((Okay I didn't write anything for Selene but she is still making her way through the subway cars xP Feel free to control her briefly if you want her to enter the subway car during the next post ^^))

Marc saw that his bait almost was snatched up by the hybrid, and he had to reverse the backwards motion he was in to parry the high blade aiming at his left shoulder. The pistol, on the other hand, Marc could not parry in time to avoid being hit. No honor, no shame, and no fear. Dalibor was Marc's least favorite type of person, and his favorite type of enemy. Killing was not so bad of a feeling when the victims deserved their fates. His words attempted to pound into him like he intended his shots. Luckily, a combination of layered weapons and the reinforced lining of his coat prevented any metal to penetrate his flesh. Marc's right-hand blade, deciding to forgo lashing out at the pistol as it would soon have to be reloaded anyways, was already on its way to join its twin in eliminating any further use of the hybrid's right hand.

The speed at which his opponent moved was remarkable, but the increased rate of action also further increased the margin for mistakes. Marc, the more experienced of the two combatants, knew that he should never wait for the enemy to make an error. Instead, it was wise to fight your fight, regardless of the situation. Dalibor's words, while true on a few accounts, were wrong about most other things. Of course Marc cared for Selene, as he too lost his family upon becoming a vampire. He watched as they grew old and while he seemed barely to age a day. It was torture to Marc's immortal soul, and the pain gave him the strength to soldier on and train until a time came where he could redeem himself in his own eyes. The hybrid was just another obstacle in his way to his inner peace. No matter the outcome of the fight, Marc swore that he would never let his true feelings towards Selene be revealed.

A loud series of cracking came from within Shane's body as he prepared himself to face his blood enemy. Ignoring Cyn's sarcastic comment and her study of his captive human, he focused his blue eyes intently upon the leather-clad female. "I believe she wants the human too, or at least keep him from my claws." Shane's head turned to Cyn's new texture and from; while a mild transformation, it still improved her more stunning features. So she called lycans, huh? he thought. "If she thinks you're after the human too, then she will soon be your problem too." Shane saw the vampire, almost at the door to his car now and had to do something to stall. Reaching for the nearest row of seats, he ripped the whole row from its fastenings. Turning the row vertically, he rushed to the door and successfully jammed it so the seats would have to be bypassed to reach the human and the two awaiting immortals.

Dusting his hands off on his way back towards the other end of the car, "Well, Cyn, the name is Shane and that will just have to do for now. I am going to need more room in order to fight to my full capacity, but for now this form will do. It is only one vampire after all." Shane, a little lost as to why she would intoduce herself now, but decided to continue on with them. Mouthing to Cyn, 'The human's name is Michael,' he avoided Michael knowing that he knew his name at all. Taking off one of his many black jackets, Shane revealed his interlocked assortment of tattoos along with his toned muscles. Debating the use of his sheathed sabre, he thought he could show off his skills in hand-to-hand combat to Cyn before their bout.

Dalibor seemed unfazed by the lack of effect his barrage had, the emptied weapon soon resting at his back once more. His free hand was soon grasping the blade alongside his right, strengthening the resistance to Marc's upsweeping attack. A quick, downward shift of the blade ensured that the approaching blade met with steel, rather then supple and giving flesh. "Nice try," the hybrid sneered through gritted teeth, driving his weapon firmly against the two blades pressed against it. Dalibor's expression remained stoic as the battle of strength continued, leaving the enemy unable to discern whether the hybrid was exerting great effort or whether he was exerting little.

"The strong, silent type hmmm," Dalibor mused as the dual waged on. "Has anyone ever told you that strong and silent is out? Women prefer men who are open and can communicate, so I don't know how you expect to seduce, let alone keep, a woman." Although his statement was open, there was little doubt that he was referring to one vampiress in particular. He knew he had seen a look, regardless of how brief; pass through Marc's eyes as Dalibor had sunk his teeth into Selene's tender skin and, like a dog with a bone, he wasn't about to ease up his pestering.

The injured vampire has remained prostrate on the stairs, oblivious to the exactitudes of the battle raging fiercely around him. Few humans had stopped to offer assistance, and the ones that had were swiftly driven away with a look or a series of vicious threats. Nathanial could feel the flow of blood beginning to ebb from his injuries, feel the beginnings of a latent strength returning to his limbs as two voices moved persistently closer. One voice he was quick to identify as belonging to Marc, his fellow vampire warrior, the other he was quick to attribute as belonging to the foe that had shot him.

With life returning to his fingers, Nathanial groped around for his missing pistol as Dalibor droned on about what it took to seduce a woman. Finally the smooth tile of the stairs gave way to the slick, cool feel of metal and Nathanial was quick to close his fingers around his weapon. Cocking the trigger he levelled the pistol slightly higher then Dalibor's shoulder, squeezing off a warning shot. The recoil sent daggers of pain shooting down his arm but he kept the pistol raised, aiming it at Dalibor's back.

Darkness clothed the injured lycan as he retreated into the tunnels, his back stinging from the noxious metal lodged within his flesh. Stripping off his jacket and underlying shirt, Raze braced himself against a wall as prepared to expel the bullets. It was a trick that Lucian had taught him, one that had proved invaluable. Grunting and groaning Raze forced the silver assailants back down the path they had travelled, managing to curl his lips into a triumphant smirk as faint sounds of collisions emitted from the ground below.

A few short moments later, laboured breathing indicated that the task was complete. Shrugging his jacket back into place, the lycan was once more ready to enter the fray. Settled dirt and dust rose into the air as Raze's heavy steps lead him back toward the subway station and the battle raging within.

"As I said, I'll deal with that when it happens'" Cyn replied, a note of irritation in her tone that the lycan assumed she hadn?t reached the same conclusion. Her cobalt eyes followed Shane as he barricaded the subway car door, fixing themselves back upon his face as he introduced himself. "The pleasure is all yours I'm sure," the hybrid commented, smirking in amusement. As Shane informed her of the human's name, she chanced a glance toward Michael once more before her attention reverted back to the lycan who was currently preoccupied with freeing himself of the trappings of clothing.

Unabashedly Cyn allowed her eyes to rove over Shane's exposed skin, taking in the tattoos and the muscles. Pure and unbridled lust rapidly coursed through every fibre of hybrids being, causing her steadfast expression to dissolve at the edges. Quickly regaining her composure, Cyn sauntered toward one of the bench seats and sat herself upon it. No point in being in the way when the battle between the lycan and vampire commenced.

"You're going defenceless?" Cyn commented as Shane failed to draw his weapon. It was certainly a cocky action, especially considering the vampire was unlikely to return the favour.

Anticipating the lycans next move Selene hurried her steps, although her actions proved to no avail. "********" Selene audibly cursed, slamming an open palm into the blockaded door and glaring daggers at the lycan contained beyond - another hindrance to her rescue mission. Turning rapidly upon her heels, Selene hurried back down the subway car and out the open car doors. Her steps faltered and then she paused as she watched Marc engaged with Dalibor, her gaze shifting briefly to the lycan and his companion. If the female was as strong as her male counterpart, then Selene would be wise not to face her and a lycan alone. Cursing under her breath once more, Selene sent her own warning shot Dalibor's way as she crossed the gap that separated her from her fellow death-dealers. With the hybrid out of the battle, it would give them a chance to regroup and deal with the lycan and the other newcomer.

The first bullet had passed so close to Dalibor's ear that he had been able to feel the heat emanating from the projectile. His peripheral vision offered him a glimpse of the vampire he had shot earlier, the vampire's pistol still raised at Dalibor's back. Two against one, the hybrid mused, weighing up the odds. He had been about to make a decision when another bullet whizzed back his vision. A swift turn of his head revealed that Selene too had her weapon raised at him, not the mention that she was quickly crossed the distance between then.

Frustration passed briefly through dark orbs, the only note that Dalibor would give to signal that he was outnumbered and potentially overpowered. "I could take you all on," Dalibor commented, lowering his blade, "but no one likes a show off."
PostPosted: Tue Jun 27, 2006 10:53 pm

The vampire watched as his opponent moved to deflect the attack, but far from disheartened. Marc knew that if he released the pressure on Dalibor's weapon then he would be free to make another attack. He needed an open opportunity to make a clean move and a quick strike. Letting the fool fill the air with meaningless words allowed the warrior those few brief moments to analyze his enviroment. He had two fellows wounded, one dead, two lycan enemies, one dead, and two other strange imortals that he had yet to learn the origins of. Nathaniel was the only one close to be of immeadiate aid; Marc hoped that if any help would come it would come soon.

There was a time, when Marc had a keen way with the ladies and was more care-free. That was many centuries ago, and the young mortal could still go into the sunlight without the sun rapidly burning his flesh. Upon becoming a vampire Marc abandoned any thought of the fairy tale life and instead took up the one that belonging to the honorable warrior he had become.

Various muscle groups tightened and then loosened as the lycan prepared to battle. "One such as myself is never defenseless." As the sounds of a vampiress' shots rang out, Shane clicked his tongue in his teeth. "It appears that I will have to continue to wait for a decent scrap tonight." An angry backwards thrust of his right leg knocked out the subway car's back door. Shane figured that his often loud actions would draw Raze to his position instead of back towards the gunfire, where the lycans would be heavily outnumbered.

"Cyn," Shane turned to ask, "do you think the lady vampire would come sooner if she heard the yells of the human?" He tried hard to ignore the fires of lust that still stirred within him, and those embering in the eyes of Cyn. Not waiting for a response, "If you scream now, your savior might be more keen to enter a fray too."

Of course, there comes a time when every warrior has to perform acts that play against his or her nature. Marc had to incapacitate Dalibor so that the human could be rescued from hairy lycan hands. With all of the distraction now present, his opponent's blade lowered and his eyes off the most dangerous enemy, the vampire aimed both of his blades low at the hybrid's torso. Marc had no real desire for his blades to strike true, but instead force Dalibor to lean in where he was in range for a solid headbutt.

“Do you not know when someone is conceding defeat?” Dalibor snarled, unable to manoeuvre himself in any other way then directly into Marc’s cleverly laid ploy. Skirting his legs and lower torso backwards so as to avoid the oncoming blades, the hybrids spine curved enough to bring his head to within the range of Marc’s. Unbridled anger blazed within the hybrid’s eyes at the vampire's lack of chivalry, something he mentally vowed to revenge should the opportunity ever present itself. With the captured blade still held fast within his hand Dalibor entered it into the fray; brining it up rather awkwardly, due to his graceless movements, on Marc’s right side.

Within the subway tunnel the shots from the platform ahead resounded sharply, causing Raze to scowl. It seemed the vampires were still at it, unwilling to allow the lycans to complete their mission with relative ease as had been expected. Although the vampires quarry remained unknown to Raze, he suspected that it would only be a short time until they finished their altercation and came in search of him. Why make them wait, the lycan thought with disdain. A metallic echo soon added itself to the gunfire, a noise that Raze was quick to attribute to Shane. It seemed that his lycan brethren had yet to meet the same fate as Trix, the thought spurring Raze on. All, it seemed, was not yet lost. The human could still be captured and Lucian’s grand plan could continue on unhindered.

Picking up his pace until he was moving at a slow run, Raze sighted down the obstacle in his path, coming in the form of the dulled subway car door, breaking into a run and pummelling the door with his shoulder. Under the weight and enhanced supernatural strength of the lycan the door crumpled, clattering loudly into the carriages interior. Recovering easily, Raze stalked down the subway car and toward the lycan and human target that waited at the end.

Michael had been a silent witness to the conversation that had transpired between the man whom held him hostage and the woman who had brutally murdered the man he had attempted to abduct him in the first place. The doctor couldn’t honestly say that he was upset that the lanky would-be-captor had been slain, although he was clearly shocked by the scene, his pallid and clammy skin testifying to that. The talk of vampires and lycans, a term to which Michael was unfamiliar, only further seemed to add weight to his theory of drug induced gang aggression. Vampires, they can’t be ******** serious. Who believes that supernatural bullshit? And lycans, what the ******** are they? Maybe some sort of gang code?, he thought, rationalising the words that he was hearing.

The endless chatter between the two figures had continued, the undercurrent of lust and sexual favours becoming ever more apparent, until the appearance of Michael’s own object of desire provided a brief interruption. Silently he pleaded for her to leave this place, that his life he would gladly forfeit to ensure her safety, but she remained oblivious to his silent pleadings. Her appearance seemed too stir an urgency within the scruffy man, a yearning for an altercation with the latex clad female, one that prompted a question to be directed toward him.

“No. No, I won’t scream, I don't want get her involved” Michael replied softly, his voice containing more courage and defiance then he felt he possessed. “No” he repeated, shaking his head.

“I bet you aren’t” Cyn said with a smirk, watching enraptured as Shane prepared himself for the approaching battle. Turning her attention in the direction of the shots Cyn watched as the vampire bitches bullets come dangerously close to her brother’s head, the action barely provoking anymore then series of blinks from the hybrid. Her brother could take care of himself; at least that was what she believed. Should her conviction prove unfounded and her brother did indeed come to some harm, then the vampire’s would gravely regret their actions.

Shaking her head slowly, like one did when disappointed child, Cyn commented – “How rude of them to keep you waiting”. Having about to answer the question Shane had posed her, Cyn’s was cut short as the human answered instead, her countenance darkening as Michael refused to comply with the lycans demands. Unfurling her crossed legs and walking across the distance that separated her from Michael, a movement that possessed by a seductiveness and unspoken threat.

“I wasn’t under the impression that was open for discussion” Cyn purred in Michael’s ear, trailing her slender fingers along his collarbone as she moved behind him. “But if you need incentive…” she trailed off as she smirked maliciously, an expression that was hidden from Michael. Tearing the shoulder seam of his shirt Cyn’s sculpted finger nails dragged lightly upon the humans pallid flesh, leaving red trails in their wake. They impressions would have stung, as Cyn had intended, but they would have been welcomed in place of what Cyn did next. Taking Michael roughly by the waist and holding him to her, Cyn’s sharp nails dug themselves into his shoulder – pushing until her fingers, up to the second knuckle, were buried within his skin.

Remaining as stoic and silently strong as he could while the woman moved around him, all semblance of that composure evaporated as fiery bolts of pain erupted from Michael’s shoulder. Unwilling, a tortured scream passed his lips as he thrashed wildly against the foreign objects imbedded within his shoulder.

Sensing the plan that Marc had in mind, one that she felt confident would succeed, Selene left her comrades to ensure the unknown males incapacitation. Knowing that Marc would aid her once he had seen to his own battle, the death dealer turned her attention to once more freeing the human that had caught her eye earlier and was currently in the hands of the lycan and the mysterious female. A sudden crash from the subway car caused Selene to scowl. What exactly it was that the bestial lycan was trying to achieve remained momentarily unknown to Selene, until a similar crash issued from the opposite end of the train. “s**t” she cursed as the presumed Alpha lycan returned. She had been hoping that her earlier assault would leave Raze debilitated for the remainder of the encounter, but it appeared as if luck was not on the vampiress’ side this night. Behind her a pain-filled scream erupted, one that sounded distinctly male and undoubtedly belonged to the captured human.

Casting Marc a fleeting look, one that silently communicated a need for swiftness in his victory, Selene run to the subway car in which Michael, Cyn and Shane resided. Twin pistols raised before her, the warrior stalked into the carriage, her deep chestnut eyes focused squarely on the two immortals and the human.

“Let him go” Selene demanded, her tone dark and threatening.

With Dalibor's head in position, Marc launched forced his head to crash into the hybrid's in a further effort to throw him off balance for a crippling blow. Just before impact was made, Marc saw a glint of enemy metal coming in on his right side. Knowing that his two blades had missed their strike on Dalibor's middle, they were free to be sent by Marc to parry the forthcoming blow. Marc would ask for his dishonorable actions to be forgiven later, now his concern was only the safety of his comrades and his once fellow man.Hearing a scream from the furthest subway car alerted the vampire that Selene would have no desire to stay with him and fight, so he would have to silence Dalibor's actions for the time being if he wished to aid the human.

Hoping that after his headbutt landed on target, his other fellow would keep the attack multi-fauceted enough to where it would be over sooner. Marc knew that Selene, no matter how skillful, would hardly hold her own against possibly three immortals for long. Urgent need to finish the fight caused Marc to calculate his next few moves ahead of time. With placing variable counters, parries, attacks, and movements of his enemy into the mix, Marc saw the battle play through in his head, ending in his favor.

Shane could sense Michael's answer even before he said it as the human's mind seemed too focused on another female. His eyes followed Cyn's movements as she drew blood from Michael, watching as the element the lcyan's were after, slowly being wasted upon his clothing and dripping down his chest. He heard a crash at the other end of the train, and knew that Raze was almost to him. Soon, the two lycans could flee with Michael back to the den and then the war could be that much closer to ending.

As Cyn plunged her fingers inside Michael, his bleeding sped up a little, but would be more so if the hybrid released her fingers from him. Wishing he had a vile to collect the blood, Shane watched with freigned glee as Michael let out a scream and thrashed against a body that would be as unrelenting as his eventual fate. Then came the voice of another female coming down the platform to them, it was the vampiress. Shane had waited for this moment, but knew that he had to keep stalling. "Cyn, we need to go outside if you wish me to carry on this fight in the proper skin."

Just as Marc had anticipated his blow hit home, hard. Dalibor’s vision blurred momentarily in the aftershock of the attack; the sheer force of the onslaught sending him stumbling backwards and directly into the wall behind him. Once more his head took the brunt of the blow, causing the hybrid to wince and slump to the ground. Releasing a hold on his captured blade, Dalibor raised his hands in surrender. “I said it once and now I am forced to repeat is for the audibly challenged” the man hissed from between gritted teeth, dark eyes inflamed in anger and disappointment at his predicament. “I. Concede. Defeat” Dalibor said slowly, sounding out each word so that Marc would understand it loud and clear.

Cocking another bullet into the chamber, Nathanial raised his weapon until it hovered mere inches from Dalibor’s temple. With the gun still trained on the hybrid the vampire stood on shaky legs, the action causing his injuries to burn in protest – but Nathanial paid them little heed. There would be time later to concern himself with extracting the metal lodged within his flesh, with current issues and situations far more pressing.

“I’ve got him covered” Nathanial stated matter-of-factly, his words directed at Marc. “Go and help Selene”

Almost as agonisingly slowly as she had entered her fingers into the unwilling human Cyn withdrew them, a look of pure delight crossing her features as Michael continued to struggle impotently against her hold. Blood streamed down the hybrid woman’s fingers as she lifted them to her mouth, not about to let the precious liquid go to wasted upon the floor. The taste danced along her tongue and down her throat, although it didn’t pack quite the same punch as the blood of other immortals. “His blood is quite tasty” Cyn commented wistfully, licking the last of the blood from her fingers, “although I still don’t think that should make him quite so important to you”

Casting an icy glance to Selene, Cyn smirked. “Curt words and raised pistols?” the hybrid question, quirking an eyebrow, “were you expecting us to run scared? To simply hand over the human and plead for forgiveness?”. Chuckling in amusement, the hybrid’s demeanour soon turned sour once more as she spied the bite mark that marred Selene’s pallid flesh. “I see my brother has already had a taste” Cyn pouted, her sapphire gaze unwavering from the wound, “I shall have to pester him for every detail and feeling it excited within him”

With her expression becoming neutral and unreadable once more, Cyn gave a bare nod in reply to Shane’s statement. “Lead the way” she replied, ready to drag Michael along with them.

“You aren’t going anywhere” Selene informed the pair as she caught Shane’s comment about needing to go outside to continue the impending bout. The vampiress squeezed off a warning shot that passed just to the right of Shane’s ear, her dark eyes fiery with unmentioned threats and silent warnings. “Let the human go” Selene repeated; her pistols ready to issue a less friendly warning if the pair refused to let Michael go. At the comment from the female regarding the bite upon her neck, Selene glowered before willing away the emotion in place refocusing her attention on Shane and Cyn. She had underestimated Dalibor, acted less rationally then she should have – the wound served as a reminder of her failure.

Marc realized what he had done to Dalibor, causing the cocky opponent to sumbit more than once, running the horse as it were. Satisfied that all the fight was driven out of him, Marc holstered his twin swords. He was almost glad that he had caused further damage to the hybrid. Dalibor had hurt Selene, bit her, if he had not done that then Marc would have had no incentive to lose himself in his thirst for vengence. He should have killed Dalibor right then and there, but he was quick to recondsider. With Nathanial moving to guard the defeated opponent, Marc relieved Dalibor of his weaponry to add to his personal armory back at the mansion. Pulling out his pistols again, knowing that swords would be less effective in close quarters, he heard the shots errupt from Selene's own weapons. Receiving the command from Nathanial, he hurried to aid Selene in her next fight.

Shane's face stayed fierce as Cyn started to pester Selene with words in order to raise more anger from the vampire. Being that close to his blood enemy caused a torrent of emotions to stir within him. A bullet flew past his ear, but he showed no reaction at all to it as he just watched Selene's focus move from him for an instant. Shane, in that split-second, was able to move his powerful arms to reach behind him to the open doorway and he flipped himself on top of the subway car. Crouching low and silent in the darkness he transformed into the the lycan that was hungry to rip out the throats of any who dared to stand in his way.

From his position he could see another vampire, this one male, heading toward Selene and expectant for a fight within the train. Shane's hightened sense of smell also picked up Raze coming through the train fast. Two lycans against two vampire, the odds were still in his favor as long as Cyn remained on their side. Leaning over the side of the car that was away from the platform, Shane could smell that Michael was within reach for another grab through a subway car window. This time however, he would have to wait until he was certain that his escape with the human would go unhindered. Shane had to wait for the battle to allow for such an opportunity to present itself.

The sound of gunfire was pursued closely by the sound of cracking bones and elongating muscles, a noise that Raze instantly recognised as the result of a lycan transformation. Faint hints of a smirk appeared on the beta lycan’s features as the realisation that things had just tipped in their favour dawned upon him, despite the underlying knowledge that the chances of exposing lycans, vampires and the entire underworld war had just increased ten-fold. Exposure will matter little when we have the human in our grasp, Raze thought to himself as he entered the final car that separated him from the hybrid, the human and the vampire. Casting a glance skyward to the roof of the subway car, where Shane waited in his true form, the burly lycan plunged ahead

“Was that how you envisioned that threat panning out?” Cyn asked, her words laced with scorn and sarcasm. An amused smile graced Cyn’s lips as the vampiress scowled in her direction; clearly delighting in mocking the hardened death dealer. The expression of enjoyment vanished from her countenance as she heard the muted noises from above. “We agreed to no transformations” the hybrid said in a low snarl, fingers enclosing around the cold metallic handle of her high-powered weapon. She had assumed that their mutual decision had extended to all circumstances, regardless of whether it was they themselves that were skirmishing or not, and as such it appeared as though the lycan had deliberately disregarded her request - a serious mistake on his part. Whatever fragile semblance of peace had bound them momentarily together was now been shattered beyond repair, and Shane was about to incur the same wraith that had seen to the slaughter of Trix.

With the mortal still held fast within her grip Cyn moved to the centre of the train, aiming to avoid a potentially lethal claw swipe through the broken subway car windows, while at the same time allowing herself access to the enemy upon the roof. Her actions would also ensure the safety of the human for at least a little while longer, still unsure why he was so important to the lycans but certain that she didn’t want Michael in the possession of the beasts just yet. Cyn’s sapphire eyes harden as she lifted her pistol to the roof. “Prepare to join your brother in death” she hissed, opening fire at newly transformed lycan.

Selene had forced down the urge to curse loudly as Shane had disappeared onto the roof of the subway car. For the second time tonight she had allowed her attention and focus to wander, and each time a target had been able to elude her usually watchful gaze or bypass her defences. It was two times too many, and the warrior vowed to not allow it to occur again. With Cyn’s concentration split; and with the two women now seeming to have a common enemy, Selene was faced with two decisions. She could aim her attack at the hybrids back, which would serve to be an effective but cowardly attack, or she too could direct her fire toward the lycan atop the subway car. In a split second Selene had made up her mind, and with her pistols raised made a swift exit of the car before opening fire upon the train’s roof.

What had once been only a single gun blast soon erupted into a cacophony of bullets, the sudden noise spurring Raze onwards. Erupting from the final car and into the one occupied by the enraged hybrid, Raze was quick to shift his automatic rifle into his arms and lift the muzzle to point squarely at Cyn. “Let the human go” Raze demanded in his thick voice, sounding much the same as the broken records the vampires were using. “He belongs to us”. Raze mentioned nothing about ceasing the attack upon Shane, figuring the besieged lycans would serve as a suitable distraction for the vampires and the female hybrid.

((I know it just sort of ends, but hopefully it will give you something to go with ^^))

Regardless of a truce with a hybrid, Shane would not pass the opportunity to tear into the flesh of a blood enemy, no matter how fair she may be. His heightened senses heard Cyn's remark and her grasp of the weapon. In motion before the first shot rang out, Shane performed a horizontal roll in his crouched postion that landed him swiftly on the next car back. He stayed low behind the curvature of the car to avoid being seen by the male vampire. The faint sounds of Raze's deep voice could be heard over the sound of crazed gunfire from two directions gave the lycan some small comfort. 'At least I will not be outnumbered three to one,' Shane thought. Using the gunfire to shield his movements, he retreived his sabre from its sheath. Then he dropped to the base of the car behind the cover of a narrow portion of the train where there was no windows to give away his ever changing position.

Marc sighted the other lycan rushing to the last car, but any shots would risk hitting the human. Seeing the chunks of stone fall from the ceiling must have meant that the lycan who took the human hostage must have vacated to the top of the subway car. Even at a higher elevation, the lycan did not a direct threat to Marc or to the human. The cuurent target would have to be the other two immortals inside the car with the human and his commrade. Marc's spotting Selene's figure exiting the train causing him to rethink the risks of releasing a few rounds. Aiming for the hybrid's outstretched shooting arm, the death dealer would show what centuries of training could do to much a younger immortal.

Sliping under the car and estimated where Cyn was from the vibrations of her assult of the ceiling, Shane viciously drove his sword through the floor of the car and soon tasted the blood that dripped down to the hilt.
