Hyroki Renaela xD We're going to put up mod aps in a few days. We were actually thinking of leaving this guild locked, and starting over in a new one so we could get all the INTERESTED members back xD Besides, its easier then deleting everything. x.x;; NOOO what about and all the memories!!! gonk I'll delete it all if you dont want to. Its enjoyable to me. xp no new guild domokun I think new guild is bad idea to.. I would miss this place gonk  < xd

Its the same thing as starting over. No one is deleting anything yet.

To expand on the new guild idea...Its not like we would get a new one and then delete this one. This one would still be here. New threads would be locked and members would be referred to the new guild. Its not like we'd totally do away with this place.
The alternitive is starting over here. That involves deleting EVERYTHING here and just starting from scratch.
I dont like the idea of deleting everything because that is REALLY where the memories in this guild lie, that, and everyone put so much hard work into their threads.
Either way. No one is deleting anything and no one is buying any new guilds until the earliest, next week or this weekend. We're still debating both, and no decision has been reached, which means, NO ONE can take ANY action yet.
That being said, Ill toss up a poll around 5pm EST when I get home, and we'll have a more drawn out debate about it later. I dont want to make any hasty decisions or actions unless everyone is behind them.

Everyone here, Ren, me, Vashie, etc., we ALL love this guild, moreso the memories that are in it. But if we stay here and delete all the threads, like Chii wants too.. then what happened to your memories? They were deleted, whereas moving to a new guild just leaves your memories alone. This guild will still be here, like Ren said, for viewing or ideas or just looking through on a BORING SUMMER DAY (which I will, no doubt, be having a lot of gonk ).. also, who made those memories? GUILD MEMBERS DID! "Relocating" the guild would ensure that only interested members would be coming back into the guild, and that means we could ALL do more things, since we'd have active, participating members.
Ren, how long have we been waiting to play or Clue-based Gaia game we invented for the guild? What, like.. FOREVER? D: We have also wanted to do contests, but we never could.. the people who asked for them didn't join in, no one really did.
And.. THE MAGAZINE we made for the guild. We have had so many people not turning in articles.. and when people do that, that meant that sometimes Chally, USUALLY Renaela, would have to put together ANOTHER article for the zine, when they were both already doing so much. The issues we break our back to put out (including me.. I may not mind putting everything together and putting it up and etc. etc., but it still eats all my time like it were freakin' Chinese take-out.) are for YOU GUYS, EVERYONE IN THE GUILD! But with no one commenting on them, giving suggestions or critique here or talking about maybe articles they liked, the magazine was more like a chore, or a project. I don't like it when fun things become tasks - this guild is about FUN! At least, it should be. We shouldn't have to worry about "will enough people sign-up" if we want to do contests or games for you guys. We shouldn't have to have member-drives (especially the ones that fail miserably).
Either way, I don't really care. If we make a change, it's only to keep our pre-exsisting, interested members online and with us, so if you decide you don't want to "move" to another guild (*coughitstheinternetcough* xd ) then I will RESPECT & SUPPORT that decision, but please read up on everything everyone is saying, and form your own decisions. You don't even have to choose any of the ideas that are on the table! If you have one we haven't said, feel free to mention it! Everything & anything will be put under great consideration.
I love this guild, I love the members, and I want everything to be fun again. Whatever happens - happens, but I hope you guys will stick with us along the way. I want to be on the front page again, dammit! whee
PS: Remember that if we stay here, that means we will have to go through the daunting task of deleting everything.. and that also means that all our stale, dusty&rusty inactive members will probably all never go away. XD I like it here as much as the rest of you, please don't think otherwise. Maybe only deleting some posts and locking others is an option? heart

True, and even if we don't do that and just delete and restart the ones that need it, we will still be some memories lost, because well the main one that has alot of memories in it, is the cafe...its been here forever, and the charity thread also, so I think the new Guild idea is not a bad idea after all, so when I am bored I can read all the posts made in the earlier days. hehe not to say I do that already, I read 100 pages in the rate me thread one time ... sweatdrop 3nodding whee heart heart

I dont care the memories that much physically, they are in my head, besides I never go back and read them anyway. Its just that This guild was the one that LT made. I feel that abandoning would just be like "******** you LT, we have a new guild now.. forget the old one" . Even though some of you feel shes abandoned us, she really hasnt, its not like she wanted to, she has a career and we shouldnt be uset about that ether. Anyway I still feel like this is her guild, she wanted us to take care of it, not forget it and make new. If you make a new guild im still going to take care of this guild, she trusted us with it and im not leaving it. I dont really want to make a new guild that and thats my opinion and Im sticking with it. Just take it into consideration.

Of course LT has a career to maintain.. which is exactly why she left it to OTHER people to care and tend for. Unlike other people, she can't really afford to put an online community in front of more important things..
And isn't that why we want to move, or at least, restart in a little way? We want to take care of the guild, and part of a guild means having members.. ACTIVE members, ACTIVE conversation, etc. etc. And if keeping our members active and interested means giving the guild a little kick in the a** to get things in gear, then that's just what we have to do. Maybe a lot of members don't want to move - I mean, even Chrissy (Renaela) and I don't really want to move - but if it would make things less stressful 100% of the time and more fun for everybody, members and mods included, then so be it.
The guild wouldn't be forgotten about.. but if pages of topics are deleted, then I'm sure memories will be forgotten some way or another. But.. okay, what I guess I'm not understanding, is maybe what memories we're all talking about. xd And hey - individuals alone don't make memories. We all loved the charity thread, chat thread, etc. etc... and we make memories in threads like those with other people, so there's always going to be new memories to be made! And with summer/end of school coming up (at least for me) then that will be one of the best times to start making new friends and new memories..
Back to my main point, the Fashion Guild will be her (LT's) guild whether we move to a new URL or what. I mean, is that even the right term? It's still Gaia, it's still a guild, like we're not really moving. We're just.. I think transferring is a better term - transferring members and mods from one place to another. Nothing about the guild is changing, but.. okay. *sigh* Done with that.
Just as you have your opinion, I have mine, Ren hers, etc. etc.
And since I don't think anyone is grasping this, let me bold this statement: We're not desperate to move - it's not the first option we even thought of.. It just seems like that'd be easiest. And really, if we're going to be deleting topics, locking topics.. we'd be doing the same thing, in essence, as "moving" right? More over than not, again, it's about the members. I know we're all.. somehow.. cybernetically attatched to this specific spot in the world of Gaia, but think about the members, and everything new we could do.. Ren has been telling me ALL about the great requests to join she's been getting, and I'd really like to give all the new members, and especially - all the old members, a nice, inviting place to hang out and meet new people, all while discussing fashion.. which is what we're all really here for, ne?

I know Ren has done everything honestly you, me and cajun havent done s**t for this guild in the last couple of months and we all have our reasons why.
Whats so great about a new guild anyway a smaller memberlist? does it matter? Who the hell looks at it anyway. I agree with you on the whole "memories" thing it was dumb of me to use it as a excuse...so you dont have to keep trying to defend your idea.
I trust the members will be able to choose a reasonable option . Im not going get too worked up about this anymore make your new guild with new mods and whatnot.

We never said anything about wanting smaller memberlists.. if anything, we'd like to have a large one, but we just don't want the majority of those members to be people that don't even get on Gaia, nevertheless step foot into the guild or any discussion topics. We want the majority to be ACTIVE members.. and I'm sure the other members would like more activeness too.
Also, I was only defending my opinion because I feel people are like.. misreading what I'm saying, I guess. whee We don't really WANT to make a new guild.. we're probably just going to end up deleting a lot of topics and really rennovating the guild this time around, since most people would like to stick around, just like us. We've only ever be concerned about the members.. we want them to have their place in the guild to talk and hang out and participate in FUN, active contests, in the games we've been wanting to play.. which we've never been able to do. confused That's all. We've just been looking for some way to really do that, and it's hard.

Okay...
This is basically the decision I've come to that will please everyone. Its the one that has the majority of votes at the moment, and Id like to post it before all hell breaks loose in debate.
We're staying here. However, things are going to be changed, deleted, added, and completely re-done. No action will be taken by anyone until the earliest, this weekend. This is the last week of school for most people, so the weekend is free time, I dont want to interfere with peoples finals and the like.
On the weekend, Ill put up a to-do list, and we'll start assigning current moderators "projects" of their own to work on. Also, there will be other specifics on what we're doing with the guild as far as deletion of posts, new threads, etc.
This is a long term, summer project. We hope to have it finished so that by the time the end of June comes around we're fully functioning at new levels. It will be time consuming though, but, unlike last time we promised change and none happened, this time it will, and it will be for the best.
Hopefully, this will be a good compromise for everyone. Once the final plans come out, they are open for member discussion, as always.
