"Oh, thats quiet alright." She smiles kindly, "Ladies please attend to Ms. Aurora." She closes the door behind her and faces the bowman. "Well I see you have finished your misson. Very good. You may take a break for a bit but come back in a day or so for a new one."

Still abashed at his entry Roto keeps his eyes firmly on the ground. "Thank you milady. I will be back in a day for your further instructions." he said as he bowed and bid her goodbye. He knew that his rush might seem disrespectful but he just had to try his new bowstring. He doubled his step on the way to the archery range.

What a strange person. She thought as she walked towards her quarters. The Queen had many features in her quartesr, a large bedroom and bathroom. A walk in closet, a powder room and a lounge for her guests. It was lavish and elegant. With colors of light pink and burgendy. She sat down in front of a gold mirror and began fixing her stray hairs that flew away from her head.

Angra Mainyu sat in his quarters starring into a magical seeing eye, he was watching the queen brushing her stray hairs. He laughed maniacly, "That necklass will be mine, and soon I will rule all the land." Angra was the kings adviser, but he had an alternate plan to advising the king. As many people know the queens neckless is said to hold a great power, Angra wanted it, but he also knew that others were seaking it as well. He had to make sure he was the first to get it.

((From The Abandoned Warehouse))

He stood outside the marvellous wooden doors, tugging slightly at the brim of his feathered hat. He had chosen to come as a noble from Fief Liordan, and still adopted the demeanour that he had set when he’d left the warehouse, as well as the linen shirt and black breeches. He had used water to style his hair so that it was more elegant, parting it slightly to the side instead of the usual windswept mop of hair. His mission required time - that much was obvious, but Dain was patient as well as skilled at his job.

The guard looked him over, and discarded him as simply another noble. And why not? His chin was not held as high as most of the other nobles, but that only meant that he wasn’t one of the stuck-up types. His posture was impeccable, and he spoke with a firm grasp on the language, and with a pleasantly charming manner. The guard liked him; unlike most of the visitors, he chatted with the guards and servants while waiting, and didn’t regard them as beetles beneath the soles of his shoes. It was a welcome change.

He held in his hands two parcels. This, the guard took interest in. What did this stranger from Fief Liordan bring for the rulers of Kane? But his job was not to question, only hinder the path of enemies and aid the path of friends.

“You may enter, good sir,” the guard said finally, once he had been granted permission to permit the stranger entry. Dain inclined his head, muttering his thanks, and strode in, the picture of a charming noble. He stopped in front of the thrones and bowed steeply before kneeling and bowing his head, ”Your Majesties. I come from Fief Liordan, with the regards from the House of Pelynor, with the intention of visiting your Majesties, and I come bearing gifts from the Pelynor family.”

He had used the name of Pelynor, for the family was known for its startling red hair, not unlike his own. He stayed on his knees, the standard gesture of respect to the rulers of a kingdom, and studiously ignored the strands of hair that fell to obscure his sky-blue eyes.

The Queen smiled, he was goodlooking like the rest of the pelynor family, she had always loved their violent red hair. " Welcome, Young master. It always a pleasure to have guests in Lindor Castle." She smiled and approched him. "What is your name and will you be staying very long?" She asked raising him from his bowing stance.

(I'm assuming I can post Alexis and Mary. Forgive me if I am wrong.)

Aurora watched as the Queen and the funny man left the room and closed the door behind them. Alexis and Mary didn't even give her a chance to introduce herself; they whipped her right off her feet and dunked her into a warm bath. They covered her with soap and water, scrubbed her skin raw and rinsed her for the final time. After that they pulled her out of the water and helped her dry off, they did not let her choose her own dress but they did let her put it on by herself. She had never seen anything like it, the fabric was a fine silk and satin that was dark blue in color with a silver shine to it. The shoes were of a different material but of the same color and the gloves on her hands were pure white. The skirt of the dress was layered with tiny ruffles and the torso fit to her body perfectly. The only real support that the dress had to hold it up was a dark blue ribbon that connected on either side of the front of the dress and was tied in a bow behind her neck. She was given a small pearl necklace and a pair of pearl earrings to wear as well. When she was done with that, Alexis and Mary came back into the changing room and jumped on her hair. They curled it and played with it and when it was done Aurora could not believe her eyes. The top part of her hair was pulled back and held in place by a ribbon the same color as the rest of the dress, there was only one curly strand hanging in front of her face with the rest of her now curly hair resting on her shoulders. Alexis and Mary smiled with approval, they work was done and it was good, with that they left to supposedly do what ever else they did.

She stood in front of the mirror a little while longer and then desided to find the King and Queen. She walked out of her room and headed down the only path she knew where she came back out to the throne room. Here she stood next to the guard waiting as she figured anyone was suppose to do.

The queen smiled and waved over the girl, "Aurora, you look lovely." She waved a guard over, "Please get Miss Aurora a chair to sit on." A minute later a chair was brought. "I wanted to ask a favour of you." The girl nodded in approval. "You see we have a very special guest coming from Fief Liordan, he is a Emissary and is very important for the two kingdoms to extend relations. Now I know your probably thinking what does this have to do with me?" She sipped a glass of wine, "Well you see our regular Bard is very ill right now and I was so breath taken from your song earlier that I thought you would be the perfect person for the job. You don't have to but you will deffenilty be rewarded if you do."

It wasn’t really a lie – Dain had been born in Fief Liordan, of Liordan Kingdom, and, for all he knew, since he had the trademark dark red hair, he could’ve been from the Pelynor family (although he doubted it). No member of the Pelynor family would have been left to the streets of another Kingdom to fend for his own.

He looked up from his kneeling position as she raised him, then straightened up. He met her gaze, but kept his chin low; it showed that although he was there not as a servant, but a friend, it kept him perfectly humble. He let his cheeks flush slightly, colouring his lightly-tanned skin a slight pink before he answered, ”My name is Niklaren, your Majesty. Niklaren Pelynor of Liordan. Niko for short, if your Majesty so wishes.”

He inclined his head again, seemingly unbothered that he was taller than the Queen. ”I will stay only as long as your hospitality allows,” he added earnestly, a warm smile tugging on his lips. He stood for a moment, as if trying to remember something, and then, with a start, offered her the parcels. ”For my gracious hosts," he ventured.

In one of the parcels was a figure of a rowan tree made from fine alabaster – a gift of masterful craft and skill. It was well known that artisans and woodwork were thriving in Liordan, and the gift commanded respect and wealth to whomever it was given to.

The smaller parcel contained a gift for the Queen, a beautifully crafted necklace of gold; both white and normal, with interlacing chains. It was long enough to loop twice around her neck, and bore a light blue topaz – a rare gem – of startling clarity. Two beads adorned each side of the necklace, made of an opal-like material; a gift of beauty, and of status.

Dain had travelled to Liordan himself, a few years or so ago, when the Thief Lord had demanded that he wanted souvenirs from other places. He had journeyed to other fiefs, kingdoms, and the like, sneaking into a few noble Houses and nicking what would not be missed amongst the other treasures that were there to behold. He had obtained one souvenir per area for the Lord, but took two or three for himself. The rowan tree and necklace were the loot that he had acquired from Liordan. That, at least, was not a lie.

Aurora came and sat down in the chair and politely waited while Niko talked. She smiled and even blushed a little as she thought over the Queens offer and hearing the man talk that she was sure was who she had to sing for, she came to a decision. She rose from her seat once Niko had finished addressing the Queen and curtsied to him and then the Queen before speaking. “I’ll be glad to sing in the place of your royal bard, my queen ,” she said with a smile. “What did you have in mind?”

The queen bowed to Dain, "Thank you for these gifts, they are greatly appriciated." She called over a servant to take him to a room. "Please show Niko to a room, make it one on the third floor." The third floor was the same floor she was on and it was the most lavish and elegant. It was a sign that the queen liked you when she let someone stay on the third floor.

She then smiled and turned to Aurora, "I know that you will think of a great and wonderful set of songs for us to hear, we are having a banquet tonight in his honor. I hope its not to short notice." She said smiling. That's when the Emissary from Fief Loirdan walked through the great doors of the hall. Two servants followed behind with his bags. She stood and smiled gracefully, "Welcome m'lord, to the kingdom of Kane." She went down a few steps to meet him. She kissed him on both cheeks then told one of her servants to take his servants to his quarters. "It's so lovely to see you again, it has been a while hasn't it." He nodded, "I hope you have some wonderful entertainment for tonight." He asked almost looking around for someone, "Well unfortunatly our regular bard is ill, but we have an amazing young girl, Aurora." She said taking the girl by her hand. "She has an amazing gift." The Emissary was young and handsom, he had light brown hair that went to his chin and very brod shoulders. His body was trim but muscular and his eyes were a enchanting blue. The young Emissary frowned as the queen talked about Aurora, "Is there something wrong?" She asked tilting her head to the side. "Oh, no I'm sorry, I am looking forward to hearing you tonight." He gave a polite nod to Aurora, "If you'll excuse me I am very fatigued from the journey, I would like to have a nap before the feast." He smiled kindly, "Yes, of course." The queen said waving a hand for a servant to bring him there.

((Emissary? Hmm.))

He smiled inwardly at the Queen's words to the girl. What a stroke of luck! He had met the Emissary, while using his Niklaren of Pelynor guise, in Liordan, and they had gotten along well. He had told the other man that he dreamed of travelling the realm, and mentioned the Kingdom of Kane as one of his stops. The man could not have had better timing; if there was any doubt about ‘Niko’, the presence of an official who knew him from Fief Liordan would quell it.

He said nothing, however, seemingly unsurprised by the news that one from Fief Liordan had come to visit, and bowed his head graciously. ”Thank you, your Majesty,” he took her hand respectfully and pressed his lips against the back of her hand in a world-wide gesture of respect, ”You are too kind.”

A small bow to both the Queen and the other femme in the room, he replaced his hat and turned, leaving the room while chatting amiably with the servants. He had a gift for getting along with people, it seemed, and it wasn’t long before he had made himself at home with the occupants of the castle, exchanging jokes and laughing over ridiculous gossip.

((Note - he left before the Emissary arrived.))

Aurora smiled and curtsied to the Emissary but when he seemed displeased she dropped her gaze to the floor and waited for him and the Queen to finish. She did have more songs that she new, but not many and now she felt they would fail to please the Emissary. "Your Highness, did I do something wrong, I am terrible sorry for any inconvenience I may have caused you," she said with her head bowed and a little regret in her voice for coming at a time like this. And worst of all, merrily to seek her destiny through the King and Queen, 'how childish of me,' she thought to herself as she played with a ruffle on the dress.
