"Ah, so Sash did go through here," Brayden nodded with a smile, pointing out a group of footprints. "Either that, or some other trainer has a Poochyena and Buneary. Which I doubt. Not too many trainers in this region do."

Chairo only nodded, not really interested in the footprints. He was more intrigued with the cave itself. It reminded him of Iron Mountain somewhat, although much, much smaller.

It wasn't too much longer before Brayden recognized that they were nearing the end of the tunnel. However, something else had caught his attention. There was a crumble of rock behind them, and a skittering sound, as if something was trying to dart out of the way to avoid being seen.

"You hear that?" Brayden asked Chairo, looking over his shoulder to where the Riolu rested. Chairo nodded. More than hearing it, with his control of Aura, he could see the shadowy shape dart behind a pile of boulders along the path. Chairo hopped down from Brayden's shoulder, readying himself once more, as he chased after the shadow.

"Great job, Chai," Brayden grinned, lifting the Riolu back to his shoulder. The two were thankfully able to complete the rest of the journey to Azalea without incident. Passing from Union Cave, the two finally saw the light of day as they continued on their way.

Rizen and Khite entered the cavern, looking across the small pond within to see the exit on the far side as light streamed in from the full moon. "Looks like we're close to Azalea, already." Rizen commented as he looked to Khite.

"Ya. It's on the other side of this cave, I think." Khite replied as he led his friend through the murk. He didn't walk far, though, before the Light Ball on Rizen's rosary began to shine brightly. "What's happening?" he asked, quite afraid now.

"It's..." Rizen began, his eyes flashing for a moment as the cave was filled with dancing sparks. "It's absorbing the Lightning element Chi in the air. It must be the Chi that's causing it to shine." the boy replied as the sparks in the air slowly vanished, his eyes returning to normal.

As Rizen neared the pond, he noticed a glimmer of light as what his Light Ball produced reflected off of something in it. "Huh?" he asked as he walked closer, taking a look. "Ah!?" he cried in surprise as he saw the chunk of ice and the frozen Horsea within.

"Shiva, go get it." the boy cried as he called out his Magikarp. Shiva flopped weakly into the water and sank slowly. "Great...now I've got a drowned Magikarp."

"How d'ya drown a fish, though?" Khite asked as he examined the wall of the cave. Something was poking out of it at an odd angle.

"I dunno, but I think Shiva manag-" Rizen began until he saw a large head emerge from the pond, the chunk of ice held in large jaws. "Scratch that thought, she evolved." Rizen remarked, his voice holding a tone of awe to it.

"Excellent!" Khite replied as he slowly dug the object he was examining from the wall.

"Gyaaaaa!" Shiva roared as she swam to the pond's edge and dropped the ice, shattering it against the lakebed and freeing the Horsea within.

Rizen thanked Shiva with a gentle rub of her large head. Tapping the disoriented Horsea on it's forehead, the boy sent Neku to his Box for the time being. He'd need Tanna for his next battle against Bugsy. That kid had some tough bugs.
