Mastrialla was softly humming to herself as she walked behind and in front of the rather spaced out crowd that where walking along the same sidewalk as she. The streetlights where slowly flickering of as the sun over the bustling town; city was fading into the broad horizon that was scarcely seen threw the buildings. It was a first as she had seen the sun set often as it was her walk up call and there was never anything in the way from where she usually saw it occur. Though it was expected in a large town, now nearly a city. The sky was beginning to turn all sorts of vermilions, pink, purples, and slowly beginning to turn to dark shades of bluish black. As she walked along further, approaching the crosswalk she felt someone ram into her right side. It put her in a bit of shock for a moment. Shaking her head slightly she then turned to see the shoulders of what would seem to be a man. Looking up a bit, as she was a tad short, she then saw it was a rather handsome young man. If she where that of a living creature she most likely would have begun to receive a pinkish hue to her checks. Smiling sweetly she shook her head and raised her hands close to her chest shaking them slightly as well.
“Oh! Please do not be, I am sure it was my own fault. I was not paying any attention to where I was going…” She replied in a soft, sweet tone taking a step back before putting her hands abruptly at her sides. Her movements where fluent for the most part, but seemed to be a tad stiff as if she where slightly nervous. There was something about the man. He seemed….familiar? Why did he seem familiar? ’Oh…I am being foolish…I have never seen this man before in my life. How would he be familiar to me?’ She thought shrugging it off and in tuning herself to the man.

...-iliar... shot into Verin's mind. It was not his voice, at least he was sure he had not sounded like a woman, and purposely deepened his voice while talking (to seem more masculine). In fact, he could swear it was the voice of the girl in front of him, or at least he thought he could swear. The word, obviously not a whole word but part of another, reverberated in his mind. He whispered under his breath, "-iliar?" He shook his head and returned to the girl.
He thought she was nice enough, and polite! A rare quality he thought. He would play one of his favorite moves-the cough. He would cough while asking her out on a date, and if she heard him and said yes he would show his jubilation or elaborate, either one. Now, if she heard him (or hadn't heard him and didn't realize what he was doing) he would brush it off and just comment about his bad sickness and that. Here goes nothing!
He coughed hard, it almost made him have to go into a series of hacks and coughs. "Would you mind-," another cough, " If I took you-," wheeze then hack, "on a date?" He kept coughing but lighter after this to make it seem more realistic (though it didn't seem very realistic in the first place).

Mastrialla laughed slightly at his actions. It amused her quite a but for several reasons. First off he had gotten her attention in a rather strange manor. She was aware that it hadn’t been her fault but what she had said came all too naturally and she hardly had put a thought into it. His little cough routine had also amused her. Though surely just about anything of the sort would a muse her as she was not used to it. Would she mind is he took her out? Would she mind? She thought a moment. She thought about Micajah, her dear Cage. Though it was just a mortal man that nothing would happen with other than perhaps a little laugh or two.
Smiling she gave a slight nod. “Sure!” Her voice seemed to squeak slightly going to a higher pitch. “Though…I do not know your name….” She then added abruptly hinting for him to tell her his name.
Thoughts flooded her mind once more. ’Why does he seem so familiar? His gestures….his voice…his tone…Why? I could have sworn I had just heard a brief thought by him…perhaps it was a whisper…But he did, wither way, repeat if only a piece of something I had just thought about I was not speak to him in any such way…it had to have been something else…There are few outside the family who are able to possess powers such as we do…Oh! Mastrialla! Stop thinking so much! You make yourself seem like a fool even to yourself!’
Shaking her head a moment she then focused her attention back on the young man. Her sweet smile still on her face as she awaited his reply.

His eyes closed for a moment in wait. "Sure!"...What did he hear? "Was that..a.. Sure?" he asked himself. It Was! Oh He-, "...Your name...," was all he heard. Erm, oops in my haste I must've forgotten to tell her my-...
He heard something, just small things, almost like someone whispering quietly in his ear. Faint but halfway audible, he caught bits and pieces but nothing really to make a real word, until - Mastr...la. The sound was flowed- it had to be one word, but it was if he had covered his ears during the middle of it. Well, he had never heard anything that sounded like that. He assumed it must have been a name- or maybe a language. It was of no matter he could just ask her what it meant, she DID say it right?
No matter- he would just ask her after he told..her...his....name. A slight vein popped out quickly in his forehead. He was completely rude! He hadn't even told her his name, and he was making her sit in wait for his childish thoughts. "It's Verin." He did a quick half-turn, but before giving a chance for her to reply he quickly and quietly whispered, "What's Mastr..," he stopped for a moment to see if she knew what he was talking about. "Mastr...la, or whatever you said?" after a short pause, to show her he did not know all of the word.

Mastrialla smiled hearing his name not processing it at first.
“Vvv…Uh…uh…” She heard him attempting to mumble or figure out her name. She had not told it to him yet. How was this happening? She then began to repeat the name in her head before replying to him ‘Verin…Verin…VERIN! OH! VERIN!’ Her heart was filled with happiness her hopes of seeing her father and all of her family members once again where going to come true! She knew it now! Not even trying, just on a simple walk she had come across Verin, the man she had seen as her father. He may not have cared too much for her mother, or who she saw as her mother, but he had always cared deeply for the children, her included. Even though she was not biologically his own.
Overcome with the want, the longing to throw her arms around him she restrained herself and forced herself to snap back into a cool and collective state. “Mastr…la?” She repeated. She thought of saying that she had not spoken that aloud but thought it would be far to complicated to bring it up at the moment. “Um…That is my name…Mastrialla…” She was now slightly nervous, this was not at all hard to see. “I..Uh….Um…”
Biting her lip slightly she looked down immediately. What was she to say? It was her father created anew. She was both happy and angered that she was the first to come across one of the reincarnates. She did not know what to do. It should have been J’nesst….or Adrian, or Isabella! Not her! Closing her eyes tightly a moment she then looked up to him, an awkward smile upon her face. Not sure what to say she decided to try to go along with the way it was before she knew who he was. Or thought she did. Perhaps it was someone else. Only one way to find out right? Exactly. Relaxing herself she smiled. “So where to?”

He exhaled in relief, she did say her name was Mastr-Mastar-Mister, whatever. He looked back at her, he was taken aback by her nervousness. He had heard his name in his head but he talked to himself a lot so it didn't surprise him. He placed his hand on he shoulder strongly, trying to put the impression that he wasn't going to do anything bad to her (unless she liked that sort of thing, eh? eh? Then you know he would, right? Am I right? yeah...).
He knocked the 'stupid' out of his thoughts and focused on reassuring her, the fact was though, he had no particular place actually chosen beforehand. It struck him like a brick wall, and his failed insight was evident in his face. He blurted out, "My place?" In an instant he thought that he was asking her as if she were some cheap prostitute on the side of the street. He didn't even think she was old enough to do that? Or even date him. Wait. Repeat that? Old enough to date him. She was old enough to date right? It was okay for a 26 year old to date a woman in her-uh, teens? He generalized this thought because he had no idea from looking at her, what her age was.
He looked at her, quickly removing his hand, "Don't be so tense. I'm not going to do anything." "I don't think I could do anything even if I wanted to," he whispered to himself. Wow, I'm making a horrible first impression, if you could even call it that.

Mastrialla was once more becoming bothered by her curious thoughts but quickly shock them off this time. She did not want to be bothered by them until she was sure. She smiled when he placed his hand on her shoulder. Perhaps a gesture to reassure her of something. Not knowing what else to do she went along with it and gave a sweet smile
“Sure…That sounds…um…” ‘What? Sounds what? What did it sound like?’ She had no idea. Idiotically, absent mindedly she had backed herself into a bit of a corner. Smiling she shook her head slightly and looked to him “I mean…Lead the way!” Her reply was almost in a sing-song voice as she happily waited for his direction.
Biting her lip once more she made a disgruntled look for a moment. Returning to a calm, sweet look she looked up to his face. “Um…How old are you anyway Fa….VER-in” She quickly corrected herself. How could she be so stupid as to almost call Verin father? Luckily she had caught herself. The ‘ver’ in Verin ended up much louder, leaving her soft , almost whispering voice in shame a moment before retuning to it as she ended it in a soft ‘in’.

The way she kept acted while nervous made him laugh, out loud. Then her change to show, possibly a stronger up-beat version of herself also made him smile. He felt happy, and in the sense that the laughter and happenings of this day brought his mind away from all else that was burdening him.
He took a swift turn and began to take large, comical steps on purpose. Perhaps to get her to laugh, maybe even to see her smile. But then she asked how old he was. he stopped mid-track as if there was a terrible hunch in his back and his arms shot back.
"Er, well, you see...,"He twiddled his fingers nervously, fearing her reaction. "I'm...26," He shot back covering his face with his hands and arms, of course he wasn't facing her so it looked very awkward.

Mastrialla giggled slightly when he acted comically taking the overly large steps as she waited for his response. When she had received it she wasn’t sure what to do with the information. She had no idea how old the reincarnates where supposed to be, or an estimate. Shrugging it off she smiled and walked up next to him with short, but very quick steps. Even if she had been to stay in the real world and go by time so slowly instead of the garden where only two years passed she was still physically younger than him. To her it wasn’t an abnormal thing for a fifteen year old and a twenty-six year old to be seen together. The time she had grown up in it was very normal. Tucked away from the rest of the world in the mansion she was left to think it was still an average age difference.
“Why are you hiding your face? Are you ashamed to be seen with me or something? Have I done wrong somehow? I apologize if I have…” She truly could not comprehend why he would hide his face, for the true reasons he did. Once again, this was drawn to the time period she had grown up in. Her tone when she had asked the three questions and made her apology sounded a tad saddened and worried. “Do you wish for me to leave you?” She then blurted out before he could answer anything else she has said to him, or asked him.

His happiness went straight to down-right confusion. "No, no! that's not what I meant! I just thought that because I was 26 and you're still pretty young that you would think I'm some kind of pervert or freak or something, like that. Perhaps while hitting me. I didn't mean for you to take it the wrong way. I'm sorry that you did as well. Most people during this time and age kind of think it's maybe a tad bit 'awkward' when they see a young man 'dating' an even younger woman. I still think it's a tad bit strange, myself."
He looked down at her he was shocked to the state she was in, she was truly worried bout what he thought. Who was this girl, to be so beautiful, cheery, and concerned about a complete stranger. He felt lucky that she hadn't been taken advantage of, then he'd feel somewhat guilty. He sighed and smiled again, "Shall we continue?" Handing her his arm.

Mastrialla looked up innocently with her big crimson eyes. A glossy coat seemed to cover them, almost as if she had been close to tears, though her eyes had only shed tears twice before. For a vampire to cry was strangely difficult. Blinking a few times she shook her head.
“Wait…Why does it matter what other people think? Why is it ‘awkward’ and how does it make you a ‘pervert’ or ‘freak’? and how is it strange? It is only an…..eleven year difference…That‘s not too much…It…” She seemed to say this in one breath, stopping a moment she then added two more things. “Also…who said anything about dating? And yes….Let’s!” She queried and then stated happily as she took his offered arm and hugged it a bit for a moment. She didn’t think that he still did not know who she was, she was almost certain who he was and could not help herself. IT was almost difficult for her not to say things that referring to so long ago. Focusing on the present she then awaited him to lead her and answer her.
