Ezra snorted and quirked a "brow". He flicked his head once more and fixed his gaze on the two Peona romping around in the snow. For all the years that he had traveled around in circles in the seemingly endless forest, he had never once froliced in the snow, or grass, or leaves, and whatnot. He then spoke to Yumi in his wispy voice, "...waste of...time." He then began walking away in a rather elegant and graceful way, mystifing like the snow falling from the clear blue sky itself.
Yumi made a shrugging morion, it wouldn't matter whether she wanted to go or not, Ezra would just look ahead and began walking away-which had done. She blinked a few times and sighed slightly before messing around with Ezra's bright mane.

Cadmus noticed he had the upper hand as Mara had fallen back. He gave a smirk and continued to try and hold her down in the snow with one of his paws. His manner seemed carefree in a way since it had been a long time since he had met another one of his kind and actually played. The epona noticed that the teen's face turned bright red as she seemed to underestimate him. Then finally she seemed to want free.
It was a tough time trying to hold the energetic epona down while keeping his status. He raised his navy hues to look at what the other two eponas and noticed the male giving them a sort of look as if the two were immature. Of course Cadmus could find reason for that and he could even agree since they were probably a bit too rowdy. He soon noticed his grip on the brownish green epona was loosening. His face turned to look down at the female he held down.
She seemed to loosen herself enough to lick his cheek. Cadmus was unaware of it until he felt the warmth of it on his cheek. He blinked as she had done this and took his paw off of her for a second or so but that was enough time for her to get away. His plan for domination seemed to have failed at that moment of time. "It'll mean something in a little if you dont stop surprising me," the patriotic epona joked.
One of his navy blue eyes turned to look towards Ezra since there was a movement his way. A small frown seemed to appear on his muzzle as the two left without a word and it would most likely stay that way. Although they would leave tracks in the snow for Mara to follow. Cadmus would just leave them alone but Mara may choose to follow.
The epona let out a soft sigh as the feminine like male and child walked off without a word. He would at least gave a hint of leaving instead of being rude and just walking off like that. There was most likely something wrong with that other male or else he wasn't brought up right. He shook his head a bit, forcing some of his mane cover his face, choosing not to think about it anymore.

Mara jumped up after being released and noticed that Yumi and her friend were leaving. She was about to go and join Yumi untill it struck her. They probably left because of me! I am too hyper, I won't make any friends at this rate. She ploped down into the snow and flattened her ears to her head. "Sorry" she whispered looking towards Cadmus. "I didn't mean to make them leave."

Ezra continued to walk on quietly, that was how he was. quiet to enter, quiet to leave. He stopped and stuck his nose into the cold snow for a split second before continuing on his way. Ezra worked in the strangest ways, he didn't speak unless it was necessary. Some found it strange, some found it noral, some even found it rude. Either way, he didn't give a hoot for what strangers or what anyone thought about him.
Yumi didn't care too much that ezra had taken her away from someone new and a fried. No biggie. She began licking her paw and began cleaning off her face. "Huh, it's pretty bright out today eh?" she didn't expect a response out of Ezra, but wanted to break the silence anyway.

Cadmus' uncovered eye noticed Mara jump up from where she was held down. The spot where she was held down now held her shape since the snow hadn't really been too deep to cave in yet. He braced himself quickly for anything Mara was planning to do but she all of a sudden just stopped where she was. The male sat down in the snow and gazed at the brownish green epona's back towards the leaving duo. Another soft sigh seemed to escape his muzzle and he shook his head. This caused the piece of his mane that covered his face to fall in place with the rest of his red and blue tainted white mane.
The male epona gave a couple of blinks as he noticed Mara just plop down into the snow. He raised his eyebrow, or so one would think, and noticed the female's ears pinned down. What had gone through her mind to make her act so strange all of a sudden? He looked across some of the snow clumps towards the nearly gone duo. His right ear swiveled a bit when Tamara spoke up. Now his attention turned to her and he listened to what she had to say. He could hear the guilt in Mara's voice and that sparked a bit of anger in Cadmus.
"It's not your fault," soothed the patriotic epona. Cadmus looked back up to see Ezra place his nose in the snow. A low growl could be heard from the male's throat. So Mara and himself played around a bit, big deal! Yet now Mara was blaming herself for their leaving and would probably change her way of looking at life. So she was a bit annoying but that's what made her unique. Cadmus stood up on all four paws and had a thought of just racing towards them and giving the feminine male a piece of his mind.
He raised a front paw as if actually going to complete his plan but slammed it down in the snow. This caused some snow to be packed tight towards the ground and other bits to splatter around. The male was going to contain himself since it wouldn't be right to be a bad role model. His eyes still held a bit of anger as he watched the two nearly dissapear. A frown held on his muzzle for a bit.
Soon the epona lowered his head as if in defeat and let the mane once again cover some of his left eye. A large puff of smoke appeared as Cadmus exhaled deeply. He walked over towards the teen and motioned for her to stand up. They were probably going to need to find or do something else to get their minds off of Ezra and Yumi.

Mara dipped her head standing up with Cadmus. Slowly looking over her shoulder to see the other two epona's dissapear out of sight. She did not jump around trying to keep up with Cadmus, instead she followed sighlently behind. Pushing her way through the snow she noticed a little rabbit. Her ears perked ready to give chase, but quickly eased back and continued walking hoping thatCadmus had not seen her 'Foolish' behavior. She did not want scare off Cadmus now, she didn't want to be alone. Seeing Cadmus's reaction to the two leaving ha confused Mara, and she didn't know what to think of it.

Ezra snorted softly and trudged along in a sluggish manner, "Yes. It's wonderful." He was silent for awhile but quickly spoke up, "If you wish to go back to your friends, do so now before they leave the area." He grunted and stopped for a bit, waiting for Yumi's response. If she wanted to go, then she would go. No matter how much ezra thought about it, he didn't know what Yumi woould say. She was like the wind, ever changing directions.
Yumi shrugged and then fell silent for a few seconds. After awhile she simply replied, "Nah, I think I'll just stay with you...no, I will stay with you. Friends come and go, but family is always there...." She frowned slightly, "Wait wait wait...I don't think that's how it goes....Hmmmm...." She conitnued to ponder the human saying but then shrugged it off casually.
Of course, ezra and Yumi weren't actually related or anything, but they were still family none the less. She thought of him as an older brother and he thought of her as a little sister. She patted Ezra's head with her little paw and grinned happily.

Cadmus continued forward at a slow walk, choosing his steps carefully and cautiously putting his paws down in the snow. He slowed himself to a stop and turned his head to see where Mara was. It was unusual that she wasn't running up to keep up with him. The male epona turned his striped body around to look back at the young teen. His navy eyes caught sight of the brownish green female and the epona let out another sigh. He was doing that a lot now.
The patriotic epona noticed her pace wasn't full of energy but of lethargic motions. He couldn't help but feel sympathy for the poor creature as she made her way through the snow towards him. Cadmus wondered if she had a human caretaker and probably wandered off to far or something. He thought of his own, a blur in his mind but still distinct. The next thing he did was shake his head as the silouhette of a human figure started to become more distinct. Cadmus refused to think back into the past but go along with the future.
His eyes noticed Mara's ears perk up and looked in the direction she was staring at. A small smile appeared on his muzzle as he thought that the original teen was back after catching sight of some of the rabbit. He watched to see if she would chase the small creature but a frown soon replaced his smile. Mara seemed to be more laid back and it was because of the little encounter they had today. He hadn't seen anyone change so drastically like Tamara had. It made him feel more anger but why should he care? It's not like he knows the female that much anyway.

Sounds of snow crunching beneath some paws could be faintly heard near the area where Cadmus and Mara had first met. A strange looking epona walked over the spot where Cadmus once slept. Her body was that of black with strange markings that looked as if marked in some creature's blood. This epona had a darkish red mane, horn and tail that also could be mistaken as bloody. The female was very odd sinc her two front paws and face seemed to be an odd ghostly color. Her eyes were also of that same white color.
The female lowered her head to the spot where most of the snow was clumped and sniffed the spot with her odd white nose. A few moments later the epona raised her head and turned it towards the direction where there were many pawprints. A smirk formed on the creature's face as she knew it wouldn't be too long now. The strange looking epona started out in a bouncy trot in the direction of the messy pawprints. Her imprints on the snow were neat and collected.
The dark bodied female soon moved her form into a concentrated canter which then turned into that of a full out run. Her paws hit the snow fast and hard, causing bits and clumps to arise. The female stretched her strides so that she could cover more ground in little time. This sort of thing was more tiring to accomplish but Iris wasn't going to miss seeing Cadmus. The dark coloured mane and tail flew behind her like a flag would in some rough winds. Her head was somewhat low as if threatening to use her horn on something nearby.
Iris maneuvered her way around the trees while keeping her pace up. Her heart was beating fast as she continued this tiring run. The wind felt good to her as it combed its way through her coat, which was starting to gleam in the sun due to sweat. All she could think about was seeing her long lost friend again and that was her goal at the moment. Nothing was going to interrupt that.

Mara was getting very annoyed with holding all of her hyperness in. Her feet began to tingle as she walked and she just couldn't stop being herself, not even if it ment losing friends. They aren't really my friends unless they like me for who I am. She thought to her self. She could not take another calm step forward, withoput warning she dashed pass Cadmus. "Race ya!" She yelled over her shoulder.

Ezra snorted and sighed, "Whatever." He then slowly turned around and began trotting away back to where they once were. He didn't know why exactly, but he did...and that's all that mattered. Ezra didn't put much thought into his actions, he just...did what he did. His mind worked in the oddest way, if something happened, it was fate. If someone died, it was destiny. Nothing was ever just a coincidence. It was how their lives were meant to be played out. And obviously, it was fate that Ezra and Yumi had bumped into those two other Epona. And that was that. It was eerie to try and avoid destiny, and there was something pulling him back to that area anyways.
Yumi was quite suprised when Ezra had turned around, she shrugged and thought to herself, Must be that destiny slash fate thingy again. She remained cool and kept a nonchalant...'aura'-as one may say. But deep down, she was quite happy that Ezra was turning around, it simply meant that she would be able to see Tamara.

Cadmus couldn't help but feel a change in the atmosphere and he looked back at Mara. She seemed to be debating something but the male turned back into looking ahead. He was thinking of where the two should go at that point in time. All there was ahead of them happened to be snow and more trees. The epona stepped carefully in the snow incase there was something hidden below that may be harmful to him or Tamara.
His ears swiveled a bit as there was a sudden noise behind him. Before Cadmus knew it, there was a shape of brown and green running past him. He caught the words that Mara had given when she bolted ahead. A small grin replaced his current expression and he put forth a lot of energy as his four legs became quite active. His paws hit the snow in great rushes as he began to gain speed. There hadn't really been a time like this when he was actually racing another except for a few certain moments. The male shook his head as if relieving his worries. The snow was giving way and becoming softer which proved troublesome.

Iris had stopped in the opening where Cadmus had once been and gave a growl to herself. She had missed him and it seemed there had been other creatures here as well. The female searched the place with her ghostly white eyes and pawed at the ground every now and then. Her dark body was very visible in the white snow and yet her two front paws could be easily hidden. The epona raised one of her white paws and slammed it down in the snow out of frustration. There was just too many fresh scents to pick out and her nose wasn't that expert in tracking.
The female looked at the pawprints and couldn't decipher them as well since she hadn't seen her friend in quite a while. There was a moment of silence when Iris just thought for a little bit on which way she would go. It was basically a fifty/fifty chance. She looked in the direction where there was only one set of footprints and the other direction with two sets. The epona chose the direction with one set of footprints and headed down it. She was panting slightly due to her run that she had accomplished.

Mara was excited to see that Cadmus had followed she ran as fast as she could, which wasn't all that fast cause of the thick tall snow. She quickly fell behind and was starting to get tired.

Kaylin made his way though the snow as if it was a gentel flowing river. Kaylin had herd noises coming from other eponas and decided to find them. Kay was not an all that talkative epona, he enjoyed to stay behind and think byhimself. Turning around a large pine tree covered in frost he noticed a bright redish color walking. He quickly began to make his way towards the redish epona.

Ezra almost smiled as he knew what Yumi was thinking, but said nothing. The wind shifted suddenly and the scent of another Epona wafted their way. His ears perked-listening for any sign of danger and his body stiffened slightly. Not wanting to frighten or worry Yumi, he continued on his way. Ezra soon spotted something but it was quite blurry to him. No one-not even Yumi-knew this but Ezra was partially blind in one eye. This was why he tended to look at the ground often and dipping his nose in the icy snow calmed his nervousness.
Yumi had caught that scent perfectly but knew that Ezra was hiding it from her. She couldn't help but smile, if something was dear to Ezra, he protected it with his life. It was one of his...better-nicer-traits. Yumi let out a very long sigh, it saddened her to know that Ezra only had one thing that was dear to him. He must be lonely.

Cadmus decided to make his way closer by jumping, his ears pinned somewhat back so he didn't gain any wind resistance. His two back legs met up with his front legs, barely touching and there was a flicker in his muscle movements as he put all his strength in his back legs. He pushed up and soon found himself in the air with all of his paws and legs tucked near his body, as if jumping over something, which happened to be a large pile of snow.
There was a few more seconds before his body landed in the snow. His two front paws were outstretched to help his landing be stable. He was actually very close, like a foot away from Mara, but the snow was costing him a lot of energy. His tail seemed to drag along in it and his mane was getting pretty ruffled up. These two factors weren't really helping him in the speed part but he was gaining on the teen which was a good thing. Well for him atleast.

Iris raised her head as she heard movement coming in the direction the footsteps were leading into. Perhaps Cadmus had caught her scent finally and turned around. She eyed the direction with her white hues and waited for any sight of a physical feature to establish whether or not it was Cadmus. The female gave a frown as her impatience grew but finally she caught site of a creature.
To her dismay it wasn't Cadmus but some feminine like epona. She gave a growl to herself and then spotted a patch of brown. This wasn't going to be her day. Iris didn't want to just run right out of there but she had a mind to do it since her urgency to meet Cadmus was growing even more now that she had an idea she was close. A large sigh escaped her and Iris sat down in the snow.

Mara felt the snow that was pushed from under Cadmus as he jumped almost passing her. That was close, too close. She pushed her self harder making a larger and larger gap inbetween the eponas. Turning around to see how far Cadmus was behind her. Turning her head back to the front she tried to stop. She was heading straight for a tree and couldn't stop in time. She slamed right up against the tree. Then she fell backward into the snow and was scilent for a few seconds. Then she began giggling lightly, then growing louder she sat up a little and continued giggling.

Kaylin ran towards the black and red epona, she was staring in the other direction though. quickly scanning the area once more he noticed a male epona with a younger female epona. The little one reminds me of Mara. She better be around her somewhere! He made his way to the back and red epona still watching the small female and the male on the other side of the clearing.
