oops! i haven't posted in this thread all week ^^"
well, i can give you some of the basics. if there is anything specific though, you'll have ask me ^^". some important things when singing in a choir or solo in a studio are:
first of all, breathing. make sure you breath through your stomach, not your chest. it will help for you to sing with a clearer tone and hold notes longer
second, posture. don't be rigid, but stand (or sit) straight in a comfortable position and your head up. it will help your voice carry, and it is more relaxing than slouching over and hurting your back
thirdly, keep your tone in check. try to make your voice full (which is not the same as loud) and keep the notes you are singing constant. it helps if you have perfect pitch (that's what helped me ^^"), but try to identify whether you are in tune with a key. otherwise the rest of your song will not sound as good.
fourth, know how to read music. you'll need to know the notes you are singing, as well as the words. most notes have articulation (just like piano) that you have to incorporate. so it if is a stacatto (short note), lift your voice at the end to let it ring out with the short silence following. if you are slurring notes together, do not breath on the middle and carry your voice through it. some ways of pronouncing notes (with no lyrics) are: nah - stacatto, nu -low notes, ni-high notes, dah - accent, doo - tied note, aaaah - slur.
lastly, put some feeling into your song. make your voice match the mood of the piece and sing it with your own little interpretations. this might be hard to do at first, but some are natural at it and everyone can do it with enough experience.

^^" thank you. and no problem =3
in regards to hitting the right notes, it is all about practice. it will help you expand your range as well! i'm soprano, so my range it pretty high up. i can barely reach any low notes >.< but remember: practice never makes perfect, only almost perfect. there's other conditions such as straining your voice, or perhaps that day it was really cold and you cannot concentrate. anyways, you may become the best, but you can always get better!

Update! I have a finger update, everyone. Tomorrow, Monday, will be my first day back at volleyball! I have two games this week, and then the 31st I have the Sectional Tournament. Then, if we win that, (Which we will), we will go to Regionals, which just so happens to be at my school this year! If we win that, which we will, lol, we will be off to States! Oh yeah!! heart

Congrats!
You know you guys can use Yahoo!Messenger to do this, since you can chat through voice something....
Anyway, it'll only work if you don't have a firewall that prevents it. I had it where I could chat with my friends through a mic but they didn't have one but they could still hear me through their speakers and type their responses.

MSN is too. I don't have a handset mike or one of those stand-up ones, though - I have an ancient karaoke-style mike. XD

Oh, why thank you! heart
Yes, well, I played in my volleyball game today, but I had to tape my entire hand in this medicene tape of something. It was so annoying. I didn't do bad, but it was hard to play with. I used to be a starter, and we played with a 3 hitter offense, but after i broke my finger, we had to go back to a 2 hitter offense. When I played, 5 people never played. BUT, when I broke my finger, everyone got to play. So now I dont start anymore, and I'm all sad and depressed about it. But at least the other players were able to play. So, I guess there is a good and a bad side to my finger. crying

That's a good way of looking at it, though I can't say whether it was good for you or not. ^^;;
