Well, whether you guys like the idea or not, I have heard a theory regarded the trinity. 1st John 4:8 says: "The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love."
And 1st John 3:11 says: For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
If love is an action (or a feeling) extended from one being to another, and God is love, it requires that he could love in order to exist. This requires one of the following: a) That God is, in Himself, separate beings b) That another has existed as long as God has
He went on to theorize that, while we live in a world that does not understand such an existence, God is three parts in one, eternally loving the different parts of itself, as well as that which it creates.
Its an odd concept, to be sure. But here's another example: I am made up of physical, mental, and spiritual elements. (assuming) that I have always existed, how are you to discern between the different parts? Also, is it correct to divide the parts and say that they do not make up one being?
Although the parts of God are clearly different from eachother, we must accept the fact that we will never fully understand the ways in which they interconnect. (e.g. In your own existence: where does the work of the mind stop as opposed to that of your soul?)
Anyways, if you have trouble with this concept (or disagree) feel free to PM me as I do not have the time to constantly look for the different arguments in which I have been involved.
