Latifu growled a bit. What a fool! Were men always like this? She just wanted to pelt him...but she'd save it for another time, she supposed.
"Fool!" she echoed her mind. She gave him a gentle kick in the head, to keep him on the ground, where he should be. "Wait here, and let me get you something in that scrawny gut of yours."
She swiveled around, swished her tail, and jumped off into the jungle. Her impeccible hunting skills would surely bring him something back.

The kick immediately sent Bakari falling over. He turned over to watch the lioness bounding into the jungle. He couldn't help but laugh. She loves me.. he thought, beaming proudly.
He curled up, resting his head on his paws. Bakari did feel a little bad making Latifu have to hunt for him.. Perhaps he could make it up to her somehow. But what did she like? ... What did girls like in general? He did remember seeing Moyo go ecstatic over flowers. Although he had tried to give flowers to a girl once, but that ended bady..

Latifu slunk back to Bakari, a little tired, but in her mouth she carried a well-sized hare. Not too shabby, if she would say it herself. She was proud of her skills, the skills she's always had to live off of.
She slowly walked up to Bakari and dropped him the bloody mess in his lap. "Eat up." She said cooly before plopping down next to him to was the still damp blood off. Blood was always so messy, and it never matched her coat.

Bakari's eyes grew big at the sight of the hare, and once the dead animal was dropped before it, the lion wasted no time and began eating messily. Although, he paused mid-bite to smile sheepishly at Latifu, and eat more calmly.
Once the animal was stripped of it's nutritious flesh, the male uttered a loud purr, before leaning over to Latifu and giving her a nuzzle. "Thank you," he said quietly. He could feel his face growing hot, but he certainly didn't mind.

Ugh, here she was cleaning up blood, and here he was shoving more on her. ...I guess that's just what happened between mates?
"Your welcome, Bakari" she said, not bothering to mention how she didn't want more blood on her. "I guess I gotta make sure you're eating now, on top of me." She gave him a pouty look, as if it was just so hard for her. Hah! Like it was. She'd probably be able to bribe him into helping take down bigger game, and then they'd both eat well.

Bakari smiled at her. Latifu was definitely something else. Although, she seemed so preoccupied in cleaning herself, perhaps he could assist her in that!
The male scanned her for any blood stains he could lick off. Aha! There was one on her cheek. He smiled brighter, and, not aware his future actions could be taken as affectionate ones, leaned over and slowly dragged his tongue along her teal cheek, making sure to get all the blood off. He wagged his tail from side to side; He felt so happy to help make her cleaner!

Latifu was busy cleaning herself, so when Bakari licked her cheek, it tool a little while to register. Okay, not that long, but there was a lag...
"What!! Are you doing?!" She shoved him away, feeling a little warmth in her cheeks. Just what was that for?? She didn't realise that there was a speck of blood on her cheek, and so she thought that he was already jumping all over her. Ummm, no thank you.

Bakari toppled over, before sitting up. "Y-you had blood on your cheek!" he exclaimed, pointing at her with a paw. "I see no reason to shove me over!"
Then it hit him; He grinned a bit. "Thought I was trying to be affectionate, did you? Oooh, Latifu.." he laughed. "If I wanted to do that, I'd be much more affectionate than that." He winked at her, smiling devilishly.

Latifu huffed at him. She sure as hell didn't believe him about the blood, even if it was true. "Hey, you..." she started, before getting a little blown away at his wink. What...the eff. He was just so weird. Such a dork around her. She really didn't have an idea how to reply to that, though.
She ended up just shrugging it off, and wanted to ask him something with a little more serious tone. "Bakari..." she started off softly. "Do....are you going to stay here?"

Latifu's question shocked Bakari a little. "I... I don't know...' he said truthfully, looking at the ground. "I suppose so.. but.. I was hoping to try and find you and.. maybe.. s-stay with you." He swalloped a hard lump in his throat. What kind of a stupid answer was that?!
"W-why do you ask?" He looked to Latifu, trying to search her face for an answer. What if she wanted to join the Unity Walkers? Oh dear.. then he and she'd be prone to teasing from Moyo and Riku, probably about them being mates.

Latifu beat her tail against the ground before answering him. "Well...I wanted to stay here with you. I'm sick of wandering. There's nothing familiar or comforting about it, Bakari."
She sighed. "But...I guess if you're violently opposed to it..." She really wanted to live here, but....if he didn't, then maybe not... "Though I would like to meet your family...and see what a family really is, silly." She boped him on the nose, to hopefully lighten up the conversation again.

S-stay here with him?! The male felt his cheeks grow hot, and yet he felt like dancing at her suggestion!
"Oh no no no! I-if.. if you want to stay here with me, I-I'd be very happy!" he stammered excitedly. He couldn't help but smile widely, even as she bopped his nose. He rubbed it with a paw, before stiffening at her suggestion of meeting his family. What would they say??! Moyo would probably tease Latifu about Baki's bad habits, and Riku would probably tease Bakari about offspring! "... U-um. I.. don't think you'd want to meet them. Th-they're really nothing special, tr-trust me!" he said sheepishly, smiling weakly.

Latifu gave an affirming nod. "Good...I just didn't want to have to look for another home. And this place is nice...isn't it?" She peered at Bakari, sure that he'd praise his homeland.
"...why not?" she teased him. She wanted to know about this family of his. They much be interesting...and she'd probably have to get along with them, anyways. So why not?

Bakari smiled at her, before sitting up straight at her question. "H-huh? Oh.. yeah.. beautiful.." he said, nodding to her. He'd forgotten about the jungles by now.
"A-ah.. well.. I.. y-you.. let's just say.. they're a little on the teasing side." he said, pawing at the ground. He was obviously embarassed; "I mean.. they might think you and I were mates.. b-but if you want to meet them, I-I can arrange it!" He smiled weakly, not wanting to upset Latifu again.

Latifu grinned. Ahahaha...he was all jumbled up. How cuuuute. She could get used to this side of him. Perhaps the memories of her pouncing on him would stay as memories....maybe.
"Well, that would be great, Bakari." She stated calmy, ignoring the word mates. Where else were they going to go? Latifu, in her own way, told him that she'd stay with him forever, so why worry about that word? Oh well. She'd never fully understand him.
