..Le Chat du Noir.. WatersMoon110 MiNdCaNdY sachiko_sohma Beware the Jabberwock And of course, we're still the bad guys. rolleyes
People need to get actual arguements rather than making s**t up or trying to make the other side look bad.
Like in the pro-choice guild where some nun had two abortion. "Pro-lifers are hypocrites LOL. We'll just ignore the fact that she's also being charged with ARSON, meaning she wasn't exactly completely SANE."
Holy ******** people. Just because some Pro-lifers did some bad or hypocrital things doesn't mean all are like that and some of those people in the guilds should realise that. Anyways they should do reserch and get facts streight before posting stories, that does for anyone really. i know i've said this about a million times, but the entire pro 'choice' movement is hypocritical anyway, so who are they to talk? Neither side in this is free from hypocracy and neither side in this is completely hypocritical. There are hypocrits on both sides as well as people who do actually follow the moral codes they expect others to follow on both sides. There are bad people, good people, nice people, mean people, intelligent people, stupid people, mature people, and immature people on BOTH sides of this issue, and just about every issue. To say otherwise is to be mistaken. *Pokes, because that's what she was gonna say!* how do you figure? they call themselves pro 'choice' Where's the baby's choice in all this? you don't think that's a little bit hypocritical of the entire movement? It is, at the very least, misleading propaganda.

In fact, by the time it is able to make a fully informed choice, it's about ready to create pregnancies of its own. 2. To be fair, one could say that the Pro-Life movement don't care much about the quality of life of the fetus or the woman involved. But really, neither of these are hypocratical (if that is a word). When it comes to abortion the two sides should be seen as Pro-(Fetal-)Life and Pro-(Woman's-)Choice(-To-Abort). I'm not saying that there aren't hypocrits on both sides of this issue. There are, plenty on both sides. Probably in about equal numbers also. There are just as many "Pro-Choicers" who want to force everyone to abort as there are "Pro-Lifers" who want to kill people who get/perform abortions, for example, and both of these types of people dirrectly conflict with the ideals of the side they claim to be on (one takes away choice, though claims to be for it, the other takes away life, though claims to be for it). But neither side is, of itself, completely hypocritical. Just because you happen to agree with one side, doesn't make the other side all hypocrits, morons, or wrong. It just means that they see things differently than you do.

but it doesn't make the action right. a nihilist can have their oppinions on the value of human life (being nothing- all of existence is only mechanical and atomic, assuming that anything exists at all). that doesn't mean they should be granted the ability to murder for it, even though their morals cannot be proven "wrong"

I don't want either the woman or baby to suffer but I personally don't think it's right to abort the fetus because they don't want it or cause it will have have some disability where it can still grow up happy and mostly healthly. The thing I don't get is that this is all about not forcing something on another but abortion forces death on another.

I'm saying the way it looks around here, their entire movement is based on hypocracy. We may have some of 'em, but the pro-abortion side has the motherload.

I'm saying the way it looks around here, their entire movement is based on hypocracy. We may have some of 'em, but the pro-abortion side has the motherload. 1. I'm saying that you CAN'T give a fetus the right to choose, because by the time it is mature enough to make any choice of that caliber, it's practically an adult human. I don't give my cat the choice of what catfood I buy, because she isn't capable of making that choice. I'm not denying her that choice, I'm just making it for her because she can't. It is impossible to give the woman a choice to have an abortion and give the fetus any choice at all. This isn't hypocritical. Pro-Lifers are also not giving the fetus a choice, since they are forcing it to be born. 2. The ED thread is a DEBATE, so the Pro-Choicers there DEBATE ABORTION! You can't really expect them to say "well what a nice opinion you have that differs from mine" when the entire point of that thread is to debate the topic they have a different opinion than you on. I do agree that many Pro-Choicers in there aren't very nice to Pro-Lifers, even outside of the debate. But most of them will admit that there is nothing wrong with being personally against abortion (many of the people who argue the Pro-Choice side are personally Pro-Life) but that they are against making abortion illegal. If you go into the Abortion Debate, you should expect there to be DEBATING about ABORTION.

exactly, and that's not what i get. Ever. I have never had a decent debate in the ED without some idiot slinging inults at me. It's why i don't participate anymore. It just makes me angry.
I still don't think you're getting my point about how they deny choice. A cat will never be able to chose what cat food it gets, but a human will mature to be able to make many many choices. In the pro-life view, we let them live so they can eventually make the deicions about their life for themselves. Abortion denies them that right, and that's the hypocracy in the movement.

When it comes to abortion, only one person can make the choice to have one or not, the woman. By the time the fetus is old enough to think about the choice, it is far too late to abort. Just like some people might be Pro-Life but also for the death penalty in some cases, because they are Pro-(Fetal-)Life. They believe the fetus has a right to live, but that some people have done something horrible enough to be punished with losing their lives. And there are a lot of morons on both side of this debate. I get insulted in the Debate on occasion and in numerous other places where I debate abortion. One just has to learn to not pay attention to the people who can't reply to one's statements and choose to sling names around instead.

WatersMoon110 I don't give my cat the choice of what catfood I buy, because she isn't capable of making that choice. I'm not denying her that choice, I'm just making it for her because she can't. She can, she just can't communicate with you. Give a cat a dish of tuna and a dish of mud and she'll choose what she eats. You choose decent catfood for her because that's what you know she probably wants. If you're unable to communicate with someone, and you respect them, you go with what you think they want. Quote: It is impossible to give the woman a choice to have an abortion and give the fetus any choice at all. This isn't hypocritical. True. And if someone's life is at stake, we prefer to give that individual the choice to end it or not, not someone else. Even in cases of capital punisment, the person had to do something really bad to forfeit their right to life. Fetuses....just float there, far too dumb to understand what's going on. Quote: Pro-Lifers are also not giving the fetus a choice, since they are forcing it to be born. How AWFUL!! OMG FORCING someone to NOT DIE?!?! WON'T SOMEONE THINK OF THE SUICIDAL FETUSES!?!?!?Sorry, you triggered the Tsarcasm Tsunami there. wink

It can't have a say at all about life it it's dead. Oh and cats can choose what they want to eat. They can't talk but if my cats don't like something they won't eat it unless they are really hungry and give in. Animals do like some foods and hate others. Their not as dumb as people think.

Just as confusing, I'm anti-war and anti-death-penalty, but Pro-Choice. Sort of conflicting views, huh? But Pro-Lifers are, at the very least, for the continued life of the fetus. They might or might not be for other lives, depending on the person, but to be Pro-Life that is the main (and only?) requirement. Just like Pro-Choicers might also be for other choices (like what to have for breakfast) but at the very least are for women having the choice to abort.
