Hee hee. A number of people have said they like the elevator. I feel obligated to point out that in WDW, it's not an elevator, the ceiling actually raises. Funny that they decided to configure it differently for the different park. (Sorry, just representing for the Florida folks...)

I also heard that that the California Haunted Mansion is slightly cooler, with a better wait-line and stuff and some ghosts that aren't in the Florida one, or something. I'm slightly jealous.

Haunted Mansion has always been my favorite ride at WDW. I have so many amusing stories circling around that ride... one of which is that I always try to 'befriend' one of the employees by riding it multiple times a day and consistently attacking and hugging the same guy. You know, as if they were some sort of 'heartthrob' celebrity... it's SO fun, esp. since they have to stay so serious. The best so far was a guy named Alex!

My favorite parts are the ballroom, o' course, and that part inbetween the attic and the graveyard where you tilt backwards for a bit. Makes me wanna take a nap. ^^

I have an intersting question for you.
In Disneylands's Huanted Mansion they have the gallery with the portraits when you go down they change. I have heard in Flordia you go up. Is this true? If so how do they do the streching Gallery there?

I haven't been able to figure out yet if the ceiling rises or if it's an elevator... but you certainly do not go up. Either the floor goes down (elevator like Disneyland) or the streching is an illusion created by a rising ceiling. I should ask someday... heh.

Paul Frees is the ghost host, his voice is just perfect. His laugh just get's me every time. Did you know Vincent Price did an English audio track for EuroDisney but it was never used? You can hear excerpts from it on Doombuggies.com. It's really good. I've got the full ghost host narration for eurodisney and Disneyland completely memorized!

I love that ride exclaim The first time I rode it I was around five or six and I laughed though it. When my sister first rode she was aboutseven or eight (i think) and she was srceeming though it. That is one of the best ride in Magic Kingdom heart

Doom buggies!

I love the opening, with the changing paintings, and the hanging man. That just rocks, man!

Those hitchhiking ghosts are great, too. Ooh, and the dancing ghosts in the ballroom! I love that part! And there's drunk ghosts hanging out on the chandeliers...[smile!]

On the way out, there's that blue ghost woman saying something. I've never been able to pick up what she's saying. It drives me crazy.

I got stuck at the paintings once when I was 5. It was the first time I ever went and they turned out the lights and that women screamed, and she kept screaming and screaming over and over again and the lights where still out. The next time I went when I was 6 my mother had to push me in and tell it wouldn't happen again.

BUT I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
