Neither, it's more story and puzzles than battles. You get 10 life and their are about 5 places/times where you can heal...it's pretty hard

Both games rock, I liked Trigger more though, just its world and characters seemed designed better, and they focused on a smaller cast, so the individual attention seemed better, yet the humongous cast of Cross was a great addition.

The thing I like least about Cross was it's massive amount of characters. It just, there wasn't a point to having those many characters. I only use six or five in the end anyway, one for each color, unless I used Serge for both light and dark... I can't remember.
