Entry 2 [6/11/05]Quote: Bells rang, and Kaijuu entered the building. Thyme was clutched tightly in her hand. She obviously didn't want to chance it rolling out of her grip as her last visit to the shop. She honestly didn't know herself why she made another trip to the crazy asylum, but something beckoned her to do so. Strangely enough, she associated the feeling with her Yakumi. Which made her feel... Akward.--- Ivy'd made a habit of stopping by the shop whenever she was in town, just to check if anyone was there. Today, when she walked by, she saw Kaijuu inside. Thinking back on the last time she'd seen her, she remembered Kaijuu's disbelief in the experiments, and also her bottle of Thyme rolling off the table. Ivy pushed open the door and smiled at the girl. "Back for more questions Kaijuu?" She asked as she took Sage out from behind her ear. --- Kaijuu swiveled towards Ivy like a doe caught in the headlights. She intook a deep breath in shock and exhaled it just as quickly. "Oh." she managed, "It's just you." She nodded to herself as if confirming what she just said. She lifted thyme up so that Ivy could see it. "I just wanted to ask the old lady that runs this place when this thing grows-" she caught herself and corrected, "IF this thing grows..." She blushed slightly. --- Ivy smiled at Kaijuu's slip up, "Well, I asked her once, but I don't think I got a straight answer." She cocked her head to side and examined the Thyme bottle more. "I keep wondering why she gave me a sprig of a plant and everyone else I've met has bottles..." --- Kaijuu gently consoled Ivy with the only logical answer she could think of, which wasn't much considering nearly all logic was diminished since she was introduced to the crazy old lady. "Well, the bottles have materials you would get from plants..." she started, "Maybe it'll 'become' a bottle?" She put a heavy, pointless emphasis on the word, 'become'. --- Ivy laughed at Kaijuu's obvious disbelief. "You know, if you didn't believe that these things would grow, you wouldn't be here right now, and you would've added that stuff," she pointed to Yakumi, "to a pasta. So the way I figure, you've gotta believe it and you just don't want to admit it." Ivy nodded as if to put an end to it. --- "I'm allergic to thyme." Kaijuu remarked, smiling wryly at Ivy, "So I see no point in eating it." She pointedly did not answer Ivy's valid point on actually being here if she didn't believe it. "At least I have an excuse to keep the thyme out of my mouth..." she mimicked Ivy's confirming nod, "What's your excuse?" Yakumi, ridiculously uncomfortable with this topic, wiggled back and forth to try to escape. Though, she came up to no avail.--- "Me? I don't need an excuse. My only excuse is, I believe the crazy old lady. Why would I ever want to eat my child?" She cuddled Sage lovingly. "That's a shame that your allergic to thyme though, I hope that it won't affect the way you interact with it when it grows." She was glad that she was not allergic to sage. Sage watched the bottle and envied it's manuverability; he could barely twitch and there it was wiggling.--- Kaijuu was suprised with Ivy's bluntness, but she showed no such emotion. Noticing Sage's envy, Yakumi laughed as a bottle could. She sent a mocking image of her batting her non-existant lashes at him. Then, with one last wiggle, she made it out of Kaijuu's grasp and fell towards the ground, hitting it with a clunk. Cursing silently, Kaijuu knelt down to grab the bottle. Before she managed to touch it, it rolled out of her grasp towards one of the towering shelves. Soon, it was hidden under it's lowest platform- right out of Kaijuu's reach. --- Ivy smirked at Kaijuu, "Yes and normal bottles of Thyme fall out of a sturdy grip, and roll when approached. Face it, you, like me, are stuck with a new child." Sage blushed as a plant could, and tried to pretend he didn't exist.--- Kaijuu looked at Ivy with a dry expression, and turned back to where Yakumi disappeared under the shelf. "Care to give me a hand?" she sighed, "I need something long and thin." --- "Sure," she chirped cheerfully. She took a quick inventory of the shop and finally found a wooden stirring spoon. "This should do it." Placing Sage on the table she went over to where Kaijuu was and kneeled down. She placed her head next to the ground to see where the bottle was and then began to push the handle of the spoon near the bottle, swiping, trying to get it to roll out. "We could just ask it nicely?" She said laughing. --- "Oh YES!" she growled sarcarstically, "We'll ask nicely.. Surely it'll come out if we do." She rose her voice and made it honey-dripping sweet yet covered with sarcasm, "Oh, dear Yakumi? Do mummy a big favor and come out to her? I'll love you forever and ever!" To her shock, after she finished cooing to Yakumi, the thyme bottle rolled back out and knocked gently against her leg. Kaijuu gaped. --- Even Ivy was surprised as the the bottle rolled out to hit Kaijuu. Smiling, rather smugly, she set the spoon down and looked over at the stunned girl. "Never hurts to ask nicely, that's what my mother told me." Still, the shock of it was still in her. "Pretty amazing." --- "I don't believe this..." she muttered softly, rubbing her face with her hands, "This just isn't logical..." Yakumi, who was enjoying every moment of Kaijuu's shock, 'glanced' up at the Sage. She obviously wanted him to do something while the two girls were distracted. She longed heavily for something new to happen.--- "No no dear, you DO believe, you just don't want to." Ivy corrected cheerfully. It was all rather fascinating and it made her so excited to see life. "It doesn't have to be logical; it just has to be true." [Sage was a bit confused by all the action going on; he couldnt' see everything from his perch on the table. It was useless trying to move on a flat surface he discovered. Instead he sent thoughts at his mother, willing her to bring him to where she was. Ivy's brain didn't even click onto the fact that she was standing and picking up Sage, until she was already back down near Kaijuu and Yakumi. She set him down and thought for a momet, that was rather odd. I have mind control... --- Kaijuu watched as Ivy stood to grab the sage plant and sit back down. She looked... Mindless; almost zombie-like. She shivered involuntarily. Yakumi's thyme leaves fluttered happily within their casing, almost impressed by Sage's abilities. She took Kaijuu's distracted mind to roll towards the sage.--- "Anyhow," she continued as if it'd never happened, "Don't you think that this is pretty undeinable proof of the crazy lady's story?" Sage watched as the bottle rolled nearer toward him and he hoped it didn't crush him. He wished for a mouth and wondered who the bottle was. It made him happy to be around someone like him, not that he didn't adore his mothers odd way. He twitched a bit in a form of greeting. --- Kaijuu eyed Ivy skeptically, slightly preterbed by her odd attitude. "Well," she began cautiously, "I don't see any proof yet that confirms her story." Yakumi's leaves swiveled in place as if greeting him as well. There wasn't much she could say, considering she was- Well... A bottle.--- "Sheesh, dear, say it out loud or war it in your mind, too many weird things happen regarding these bottles to deny the lady's story. I like to think that it's true, it's harmless, and if it really is true then all the better. I also think Sage talks to me." Ivy said, not the least bit shamed at sounding like a looney. Rather frustrated Sage twitched again. He wanted to speak, to be able to communicate in a definite manner than just random twitching and leaf wiggling.--- Kaijuu stared at Ivy with a look of disbelief. She grabbed Thyme and sighed. "You keep believing that, Ivy." she cooed carelessly, "But I won't believe what the lady says until I see some material proof." With that said and done, she walked out of the building, without one last glance back.--- Scooping Sage up Ivy headed for the door looking down at the little plant... "Hmm... d'you think she likes us?" Giggling she walked into the sunlight and down the street.

Entry 3 [7/2/05]Quote: I've returned from a long trip from Reno. It's quite the run-down town and resembles a Las Vegas for poor people; or rather 'to-be' poor people considering the majority of casinos. It was quite fun, however. I brought Yakum- err... the Thyme bottle along with me. It seems Ivy's ridiculous beliefs has started to wear off on me. I'm afraid I may be going insane. My eyes lie and show me images of the thyme leaves fluttering in their bottle even without the assist of wind. Oh Lord, help me.

Entry 4 [7/24/05]Quote: I've returned from another vacation. My and Yakumi- I have ceased to try to deny my strange affection for the thyme bottle- went to various National Parks and stopped at Canada. Then we rounded back to California. It was... a very long trip, for lack of better phrase. We havn't visited the shop for a while, I think I will later on. I'm starting to miss Ivy's insanity...

~Quest Time~ Lately, Yakumi has been becoming more and more.. Restless. That's an odd thing for a bottle ah? Well, this little bottle has been 'falling' off it's resting place more than it should, more than Naomi thought it should at least. But, mainly because she doesn't care, she hasn't said anything. In the past few days though, the bottle has stopped moving completely, it seems to have given up. A note from Grandma, Yakumi will need a lot of support throughout her life. For her to become a toddler, you need to show her that you will be there to give her that support. Through a few entries, at least three or four, do something to cheer her up. Take her to a show, to a game, something high energy. We're sure she'll love it.

Entry 4 [10/12/05]Quote: I've written this entry in a sort of 'story' format just because I feel like it. Teh Story! The day was bright and sunny. The sky, patched with fluffy white clouds here and there, was as blue as ever. Sunlight weaved its way through the clouds and shined playfully on frolicking children, nipping at their ankles. It carassed their footsteps, imprinted lightly into the grass hills, gaily green. Oh, it was a beautiful day. And here I was, watching them through a misted window. I sighed in content then again in resent. With heavy eyelids, I turned back to my post and commenced the activity that I had been doing since the day before. "MOVE, dammit!" a growl forced its way out of my throat as I prodded Yakumi with an insistant hand. She wobbled, as bottles do, and then tipped over onto the table. Nothing out of the ordinary. Another fluttery sigh cluttered its way up and out my mouth. It was ironic. Only a few weeks earlier, I had been praying for sanity; for the thyme bottle to stop falling off tables and trying to convince me that it was ALIVE. And now that it had stopped moving all together, I felt like I had something jammed up my a**. I had gone to the doctor's yesterday. I thought that maybe I had a sickness that made me hallucenate. Maybe everything I had seen going on wih the Thyme bottle before now was an illusion. Maybe it never had the ability to move. The doctor didn't cure me, but he did recommend therapy. I didn't like how he thought I was a crazy, so I threw a couple of punches and ran away from the cars with sirens, raving loudly about how I was 'perfectly sane'. And I am- perfectly sane, that is. I'm just different and... have the power... to communicate with bottles. Oh how mother would cry.

Entry 4 [10/12/05]Quote: My friend came over today. She had been bugging me consistantly about letting her visit. I rather pitied her desperation, so I said okay. When she came over, I immediately regretted my decision. I stupidly told her about Yakumi and bore the consequences. She RELENTLESSLY teased me about being "not right in the head". And with no logical explaination, I continued to tell her about my special Thyme bottle- her not moving and all. She told me to let Yakumi attend an event to hype her up. This would have been a nice suggestion if not for her tone. She wasn't saying it in a nice, innocent tone; more like a 'your brain is effing screwed' manner. It's people like her that make me wonder why I need enemies. My friend left with a black eye that night.

Entry 5 [10/21/05]Quote: Well, despite how ruthlessly I attacked my friend the last time she suggested something... I decided to take up her idea. Today, I took Yakumi to an amusement park. Six Flags. I REALLY regret it now... But I can't go back in time. I can't go back to stop myself from going on the Kinda Ka, to prevent myself from eating too much before that- from barfing all over my favorite T-shirt. Have I mentioned I hate my stupidity? Yes. Well. I hate my stupidity. Yakumi seemed to enjoy it though. She shifted a bit when we were on the coaster... Or maybe that was because we were going 128 mph. Anyways, I dislike her for having a lower nauseous level then me. Me, who barfs at just of the sight of the Kingda Ka coaster now. I guess Yakumi didn't achieve much. And if you're wondering, we went on that coaster because of a bribery from the same friend who recommended I bring Yakumi to a thrilling event, who accompanied us to the park. She offered five dollars. How could I resist? I love money. Money is green. Like Yakumi. Like the grass, my hat. Like my face.

The little bottle started to quake again, this time more violently, knocking itself off the table. It rattled against the floor, gradually cracking along it's length. The cap popped out with a bang, the whole thing letting out a loud, highpitched noise. So this was how it happened... Slowly, the shaking settled, and everything was quiet, but only for a few minutes. The calm before the storm, how appropriate. This little girl would cause quite a storm in her lifetime. A thick cloud of dusk exploded from the leaves, and as they cleared, a rough, large girl appeared among the remains of the bottle. Welcome to the world Yakumi... Sizing hurts her detail a bit, full image is HereKaijuu, A theme park was an interesting choice to visit with little Yakumi. She seems to have grown into a lovely girl despite the.. Many, bumps and knocks she suffered in her bottle. We've sent along two little companions for her, you may name them as you wish. Something concerns me though. Despite Yakumi being perfectly fine, a big strong girl even, I do have some concerns about you, perhaps you should come down to the shop for an evaluation? Leda Cinnamon

Entry 6 [11/14/05]Quote: I've checked with my therapist. I've tried numerous doctors. No. Nothing. I'm sane, apparently. But then why do I feel like my brain just blew up into a hundred pieces? I suppose it could be because I just had a bucket of ice cream and suffered from severe brain freeze; or maybe it was because the weather is foggy and cold; or MAYBE it was because a little girl just sparkled into view where my thyme bottle was just moments before. More then likely the latter. I guess the people at the Shop weren't exactly as insane as I thought they were. Or maybe I've gone equally as insane. Or perhaps humanity has it in for me or God's trying to prove that Eve didn't come from one of Adam's ribs... She came from a bottle of spice! Anyways, as I was saying, a little (or maybe not so little) girl popped up where the thyme bottle was. I stared at her. She stared at me. Then, out of nowhere, a stone was chucked at my head and she bawled, "What the hell 'you doing, staring at me?" It took me a few moments to register what had just happened. During that time, before I cam to realization, I continued to stare. And stare. And stare. And slowly came to the conclusion that girls this age... Were not supposed to curse. (Or come out of bottles for that matter.) At that moment, I tried convincing myself I was perfectly stable and didn't need to be taken away by men in white coats. It was hard, but I achieved it. With my new resolution in order (a resolution that proved I had no tweaked fiber in my brain) I knocked her forehead gently with a knuckle and scolded her. "You're NOT allowed to curse, young lady!" She gurgled in protest and retorted, "The name's Yakumi. You should know that!" My eye twitched. "You're the thyme bottle?" She stared at me oddly, tilting her head to the side. "I WAS a thyme bottle. I'd like to thin' I'm not made o' glass and plastic anymore, tho'. And it feels gud' to be out of that dammiable thing." I tried to ignore that comment. In fact, I tried to ignore everything taking place. It was just that a girl entered my house and stole my Thyme bottle... "You have an accent." I avoided going back to the previous topic. She really DID have an accent. Sounded like a British accent. But when were thyme bottles British? Wait. No. This girl was not the thyme bottle. NOT the thyme bottle. I am PERFECTLY sane... "No. Not really." she grinned widely, planting fists on the sides of her hips, "I just like messing with you." I think I died a little bit inside that day. But immediately, I knew that I had a LOT on my hands.
