INSTRUCTIONS: The "map moving" system will be abandoned for the remainder of this Special Event. However, please use the last copy of the map to gain some idea of where you last stood and who was with you at the time.

The children should be able to hear which direction the voices are coming from now (North), so it is time to RP the child informing you of where you should go, and for the villagers to assemble as quickly as possible.

Faevan cast a nervous glance toward Dio, her dark eyes showing the mounting tension she was feeling toward the entire situation. To be so close to the Fae, and to have to be surrounded by the villagers. But there didn't seem to be a way to avoid either situation at the moment. With a deep sigh, she seated herself nearby, watching the collection of people with cautious eyes.

Shin tightened his grip on his aunt's hand, following her gaze, and shifting himself slightly in front of here to block her from sight. His eyes seemes cold at first, a rarity for him, but softened their beautiful green gaze when they rested apon his friend.

"Rain..." he called softly to Linnea, glad the girl was safe.

The long-handled axe swung lazily, head dipping. From a distance, it could have been a llight, gray flower. An iris. A forget-me-not. A tulip. The edge of the metal still sang from long-forgotten battles and hesitant power, wooden stalk wheezingly huskily into Toshihiko's palm.

He refrained from conversation. His only thoughts now were on Kizzy's tongue-in-cheek instructions.

The strides were long and hurried. Hustle, hustle. Prayer. Legs. Feet. Axe. Forest. Absalom.

Peering through the hazy darkness of the forest, Chiaku attempted to discern all of the shapes around them. One, two...three...? How many people had suddenly appeared? Realizing that organization would be required to prevent confusion, she quickly stepped onto a log and whistled, attempting to catch the attention of those who had gathered loosely in the area.

"Everyone!" Chiaku shouted, then hesitated. She hoped the noise wouldn't awaken the unfriendly creatures of the forest.

Faevan's eyes darted upward, looking upon the small mayor of the village. She held back any scornful thoughts she might have normally felt in leiu of the situation. Wether she liked the woman or not, she was a good leader, and probably had a good idea.

"I don't know," DS mumbled in a vague reply to Nosmirc's question. "We have to keep going, I suppose. But where to?"

Linnea clutched Momo's hand tightly, her grip far stronger than one might credit her for. The older fae's presence was comforting, in the absense of her mother. However another being managed to tear her attention away, and she turned to stare blankly at the wood fae.

"Dream?"

"Dream?"

Shin raised a slender finger, waving at the girl. His eyes brightened a bit, glad to have another friend with him and his family. For a moment, he left his aunt's side, and she stared after him cautiously as she approached the girl, taking something from his pocket. He placed the cool item in the girl's hand, hoping it would calm her some. A cool stone she had given him earlier.

"Don't be scared. Auntie Fae Fae won't let anything happen to us." He wispered to Linnea.

Mouth opening slowly to reply quickly shut upon hearing Chiaku's shout. Out of strange habit she stood completely still the shivering ceased and her breath became shallow yet strongly she answered, "Ma'am?"
How awkward, in all of this confusion and blind chaos she still had supreme manners.

Adjusting her glasses on the bridge of her nose, Chiaku squinted into the darkness as various figures assembled. It seemed that many of Astora's villagers had indeed arrived safely at this strange crossroad.

"Is everyone well?" she asked first. "Has anybody received an injury?"

For several hours the people had been travelling through the thick terrain of the forest. If she could distract them momentarily, perhaps they would be able to rest for a few minutes before continuing forward.

"Now, are all of the children here?" Chiaku asked after a pause.

Lady Chiaku's voice....

"Absalom's missing."

The words came out surprisingly sturdy, flat, matter-of-fact. The sound was almost foreign to him.

Luckily for Momo, Linnea transferred her deathgrip to the stone, letting its coolness calm her. "I know," she finally whispered. "Thanks."

As the confusion started to die down, she spotted a familiar figure in the crowd, and for what might be the first time in her life, she raised her voice. "MAMA!"

It was a timely shout, since DS was unwittingly about to call her daughter absent.

"Linnea?" It took mere moments for her to reach her, at which time the woman hugged her tightly. "Oh loves..."

Shin watched Linnea's reunion, returning to his aunt, his hand resting in his pocket to replace the weight where the stone once was. She took his aunt's hand, looking up at her, and his father. Both of them lookked a bit tense, and he did all he could to comfort them, trying to be strong and protect his family.

Faevan smiled, resting a hand on Shin's leafy head, glad that her nephew wasn't the one missing. "Thank you, Shin." She whispered to him softly, ruffling the leaves by his ear.

Hearing excited noises from in the crowd, Chiaku cleared her throat and attempted to speak again. If indeed some children were missing, it would be necessary that they act quickly.

"Absalom is missing?" she repeated for confirmation. "Are there any other children?"

From the corner of her eye, Chiaku saw the faint glitter of wings. Momo slipped her hand into the older woman's palm, squeezing it tightly. The governess stood breathless for a moment, then regained her composure. Leaning against the young girl, she whispered into Momo's ear and squeezed her hand in return.
