DraconisMaster Tsuki no Curse ...Meh, I never saw it as a Marriot. I saw it as the T-bird in 2005. And 6. I hated the narrow hallways for the line on Cosplay night. XP Blech. Though you really have to wonder if any hotel suits their needs better? Is there any place excepting the Minneapolis Convention Center (Is that the name?) that works better? And if you used that, then you would have to drive from hotel to there, and not have all night anime sessions and other cool stuff that being in a hotel provides. I'm not the greatest fan of the Thunderbird(although I never was at the Marriot) but I think you have to think as to whether there are bettter options. I suppose you bring up a good point sweatdrop

Aw. I've only attended two of the three times, and soon next year.
In any event, if memory serves, this is the last year that the AD contract for the Thunderbird is for, so after this year it'll be new-local time. Unless I'm wrong (which happens quite often, mind you).

Eliyon I heard they were talking about moving it to the Sheraton in Bloomington for 2008. I love it if we would... love that hotel.. it has almost all the things I would want in a hotel there are two main floors , a "courtyard/pool" for gathering , the canbana rooms there rock. I mean when I really think of it it is a little in size... but I would really have it at this point..

The Marriot was a better choice to hold a con then Thunderbird. The hallways were much bigger and well light. Most of my pictures from the T-Bird cons are too dark.

Actually what would make Anime Detour'07 awsome, getting some new anime that I've never seen. It's probably hard to get a hold of it but I want to see Hellsing Ultimate, Paradise Kiss, and Ergo Proxy.

That was a nice hotel, but for the turnout we'd have for AD, I think it may be a tad small.

My first con was 2006 AD...as soon as I saw people cosplaying I was like "So people really DO cosplay! And here I thought it was only something you saw on the net..." xd

domokun The Marriot rocked. I liked the courtyard, I liked the rooms (both personal rooms and con rooms), I liked the fact everything was in one location downstairs where we wouldn't disturb people because their was no rooms nearby. *has a problem with disturbing people* I liked the big hallways and I like the fact the ceiling in the swimming pool collected condensation and dripped on you.
Most importantly I liked the fact there was a places to hang out. There is no where to sit at the Thunderbird with a large group, there are only three spots and they are crowded. You could at least sit in the hallway at The Marriot.
But my friends and I were all afraid of the elevators, one jerked randomly and one smelled like buring rubber. *shuns the elevators*
