Next sub-forum should probably be a Raconteurs. It seems to be the most "forum-able" topic out of the other possiblities.

Fewer pictures. We have forums where people can gaze in awe at the loveliness. 3nodding We should have one nice front banner heading all the info on the rest of the front page.
I think since it's the front page and the first thing potential members will see, you should write a little overview, in detail, of what we're all about and what we do here. I like how the rules are there, that's probably good... That's probably the only thing we should repeat from what's in the forums.
The donation reminder is also good.
I think it's the one big picture that's throwing me off. @_@; Not very aesthetically pleasing.
