fencerboy [ Helena ] Remember to keep your arm low! No not give that sabre reaction to parry above your head when someone comes near. Don't cut of try to hit the arms. Keep your eyes on the opponements body and when you see an opening, strike very fast. And remember to get in defense pose as quickly as you can, foil is a lot faster than sabre. you realise saber is the fastest, right? I like stilletos for quick, easy work. Assassination and entry are their primary tasks, but if you are careful, they can be good weapons. Not for parrying.

As desirable as that sounds, I don't think the Bout Committee would like that... you just *might* get carded for it smile

I've never saber fenced, so I'm not sure if the rules are similar, but when you lunge, keep your knee over your toe-or else you risk knee injury.
