sixteen-bit Wo[f, it's an SL-5500. Underpowered by today's standards (206MHz StrongARM?) but it's from back in 2002, so.. wink True but i like the design. I'm working around Symbol PDT8100 with X-Scale 400Mhz (Not the one with an handle) [ Link] And Intermec 740 [ Link] Those are great handhelds but i have yet to know those who are available to the public ...

 That's an Asus SK8V Mobo sporting an AMD Athlon FX53, 1GB of Mushkin HiPerf buffered w/ ECC RAM, 2 Maxtor 80 GB HDDs (soon to be made obsolete by the 200GB Western Digital SATA I'm replacing them with), RADEON 9800 Pro that I would like to replace with an nVidia 6800 GT or Ultra, yadda yadda yadda. It's my preciousssss.... Prrreeesssiousssss.....

Nice system Yumi-chan, I like the big fan that looks like its hanging from the video card..... looks wierd......
Same for you U-235, looks nice, only one pic of the inner gut of the system, what about the ones of the outside skin of your pc wink ?

Arethic Same for you U-235, looks nice, only one pic of the inner gut of the system, what about the ones of the outside skin of your pc wink ? I think I may have a piccy of it from before I got thrown out of my house (although I am now making enough money to afford to pay my parents rent again. Heh. sweatdrop )... Ok, so I don't have the piccy, but I do have a product link. Antec SOHO case.Although after I get myself established back at home, I plan on doing some low level projects on it. Like, for example, putting 2 cathode fans in the front so they glow through the filter on the front bezel cover, and also puting one on the side hole again, to glow outward. I also plan on getting a flash drive (since my current one died as a result of a certain doggy my friend has that ate it.... stare ) and removing the floppy drive, replacing the drive area with a switch I'm going to work on that will allow to switch between two 7.1 audio systems (through the use of a 9 pole, quad throw switch). I will also either use the nifty nylon tubing and heat shrink stuff to organize those wires, or possibly use black corrugated pipe (not sure right now). Lastly, after I replace my two drives with the 200GB WD SATA, I will remove my rounded cables in favour of normal ribbon cables. The reason being that without a FDD, and having only one EIDE drive on each channel (being my DVD-ROM and DVD-RW), I will be able to origami the cables more easily and produce a more aesthetic, clean case. 3nodding Including the HDD, this project is gonna cost me about 180USD. Bring it on.

But hey I need the performance. funny how those mods would run you about 240$'s canadian. Its a video card cooler from www.1coolpc.com its on a mounting bracket that screws in over your card screws. They have all different varieties. I want to clean up all my wires too, but I'm going to wait until I get my new PS, my old 300watt is being pushed to its limits, I get voltage drops a lot. *drools over U-235's rig* Whew good thing its waterproofed. BType has a sweet a** rig too. *contemplates breaking and entering*

BType has a sweet a** rig too. *contemplates breaking and entering* I love my locking case, and I only I have the key and guess what I sleep with the key under my pillow, and I am a light sleeper. but yeah the windowed revolution steadily marches on. For me getting the case I got (Aspire Super X Alien) was a matter of necessity. My apartment in the summer got to damn hot, and my standard atx format beige tower of boredom just didn't have the ventilation. Where as this baby has 6 fans, lotsa ventialtion ducks, and thermal diodes which take temp measurements, and looks damn sexxxy to boot.

Heh. 200GB ED HDD: 127USD. 3xCathod 80mm fans: 21USD 9 pole, quad throw switch: 32USD Stereo cables and connectors required: 9USD So it's really closer to 190USD, not including taxes or shipping. Heh. That's why I don't do math in my head any more... Although I didn't incorporate the cost of a flash drive. I would like a 1GB model, although it seems I may have to make due with a 512MB... The reason is that most of the files I transfer are circa 700MB in size (mostly game mods). As for going to extremes, I have a tendency to do that, mostly because I'm a whore for any new technology, and all things different, just like the RAMBUS machine I sold to Xeon. Although I don't see in the forseeable future switching to the Intel LGA 775 (until BTX becomes a common form factor, and until they fix the 915/925 chipsets... And until I can get a DDR2 module with a CAS latency of 2.5... And until the 1066FSB models hit the shelves... To many untills...). However, I do have several more projects that I would like to mess around with: *MP3 Machine: I would like to make a low end, micro-ATX machine in an Acryllic Case, along side the guts from a 2.1 audio system Sub and speakers, all inside the case, thus creating a mostly mobile music platform Est. Cost: 800USD *UNIX machine: Just something simple to fill a small case I already have. Est. Cost: 260 USD. *Legacy box: An old PIII that I have lying around here somewhere that I wish to install Windows 98SE on to run legacy applications... Mostly Command and Conquer and Thief. sweatdrop Est cost: 20USD (for the OS I'm buying from my dad) *Dual Xeon machine: A conceptual thing using dual 2.8 or 3.0GHz Xeons. I would like to use the 800s, but the 533s have a broader platform base, and finding a decent 800 board that supports AGP 8x is kinda difficult 533 est. cost: 1,800 USD And that's about it for now. NON COMPUTER BASED PROJECTS: *7.1 switch: Ok, it's going into my computer, but I plan on making just a normal box one that I can take with me if I need it somewhere. Est. Cost: 35USD *The M4 project: Putting a RAS and scope on my Airsoft gun, as well as getting some mag clamps, maybe a paint job... And I also want to make modular "dresses" for my combat helmet, so that I can switch skins with the ease of velcro (since my helmet doesn't have the inner ring to tie them to). I also want a one-touch silencer and I'm considering a bipod... Oh, and I'm going to make a simple switch so that when one of my batteries dies, I can just switch to the next one instead of replacing it in the field (which really really really really really really sucks, by the way). I need to get a new digital camera, then I will take some better pics of my system, cause those ones at the beginning suck cause they were taken with a good webcam, just not a webcam that takes good digital snaps without some fuzziness.
And I figured what that was Yumi, I just found it funny cause it reminded me back in the days of my cheapness when I just used electric tape and taped a 80mm fan sidways on my frame so it would blow on my video card sweatdrop
