Emi sighed once more, looking out to the store. So far, things hadn't been going well with the Baku. When the Baku appeared it was an extremely important thing, as it was worse then the pre-earthlings. Now, instead of giving them about thirty minutes to close the shop, Ryou was demanding they close the shop right away. Akasaka had even set up a new system, which was the "Free food coupon" system.
Whenever the Baku appeared, they would have to close shop right away, and to do it, they gave out coupons so that those who hadn't eaten yet could return for more food. Sadly, this was causing great declines in the amount of people coming. They even had a news man come in and ask about it, but the only reason they could give was "We are sorry for anytime we must close early. Unfortunately, our reason for doing it is very hard to explain, and we ask you to bear with us on it. This will probably end soon."
Emi sighed again and walked out, handing coupons to those who hadn't eaten, and giving bills to those who had. She soon reached Kira and looked at her. She handed Yakuriga a coupon. "Gomenasai," she spoke and bowed. "We must close right away. We are sorry about this. Here is a coupon for free food the next time you come. Again, we apologize for this. We wish we could stop this from happening."
She placed the coupon on the table and walked off, doing the same thing with the other customers as the other Mews did, too. Zakuro, of course, wasn't exactly nice, as usual with the way she served people at the cafe.

Minto shot an angry glare at Basil and Brownie. "Just what were the two of you thinking, appearing all of a sudden? Can't you alien mews just use the door like normal people?"
"Sorry," Brownie said half-heartedly, "But it really is important. Kisshu told us to give you this, but no one but the rest of the alien mews, and maybe Ryou or Keiichiro, can be around." She handed the envelope to Minto. "Something about needing to talk to you about something. But I doubt it's just a little sticky inside the envelope. To me, it looks like some sort of formal invite to something."
"I'll deal with it later," Minto replied, sticking it in the pocket of her uniform (if they have pockets...), obviously annoyed. "Anyway, what news of Cinna?"
Basil groaned. "She has to stay with Kisshu for a while. Some sort of alien training business. There's no way she'll be able to come back to help fight the Baku." With that, he shifted back into his human form, and walked into the main part of the cafe to help hand out coupons. When he saw Emi, he tapped her on the shoulder. "Could I have a word with you, Emi?" He didn't think that he should be the one to ask, and that maybe it should have been Brownie, but Brownie probably didn't care.

Dammit why do we have to do it this way? My parents were already mad about me having to have a job, and they are screaming at me every night because I am working at a place that isn't serving all of it's customers. Kira thought, not too happy with what had been going on continuously.
Sekkai stormed out of the Kitchen, obvioustly annoyed. "I don't care anymore - Kii-chan and I are willing to stay and continue working whenever these problems come up, and NOOOOOOO, Ryou forces us to leave! I Can't believe this!" She yelled, and then began to walk around and hand people their orders that they almost-didn't get, saying 'You don't have to pay'. She and Kiichigo helped cook and serve. She walked over to Yakuriga and asked, "what was it that you ordered? I should be able to at least get you some of it - everyone is in a rush right now"
Kiichigo sighed, and waited for Sekkai to get back.

Emi saw the occurences that were going on and she sighed. Well...as long as Ryou doesn't get upset, I don't really care... she thought in her head. She blinked when she felt Basil tap her on the shoulder and she turned around and looked at him. "What do you need?"

"There's nothing I need. I just wanted to know what you wanted to talk to Minto about," Basil replied, almost startled by Emi's reaction. "You seemed pretty embarrassed about it. Especially since you couldn't say anything when Brownie and I showed up. We're really sorry about that."
"I wouldn't be so sure of that," Thyme said as she walked past, "After all. Brownie is never apologetic about anything."
"Jeez, Thyme, why must you be such a know-it-all..?" Basil muttered under his breath. He then turned to face Emi again. "Well, at least I'm sorry. But I'm curious to know what you'd want to have to do with Minto. She doesn't have a great personality, you know."

Emil blinked for a moment at Basil. She thought for a moment, then just kind of gave a nervous laugh. "Oh, it's nothing really important," she spoke, scratching the back of her neck. However, once she realized she wasn't fooling anyone, she grabbed Basil by the ear and pulled him close. "I'm sort of...in love with her..." she whispered quietly into his ear. "I know she is always mad at people or is being a spoiled rich girl but...that's what I like about her..." she looked down for a moment, then she looked up at Basil, grabbing his ear again. "But you can't tell anyone that! Especially not her! I want to tell her myself...it's just..." she looked down again and sighed. "I can't" she said, now speaking in her normal tone. She sighed then headed off to the basement.

Basil followed quietly. Emi liking Minto? This could make for an interesting turn of events. He then remembered Cinna, and how he had confessed to her, after months of contemplating what to do. He figured he might as well help out if he could. He didn't like to see anyone having trouble. "I have some experience in telling others what you feel about them," Basil whispered in her ear. "If you want any advice, you can usually find me in the park when the cafe closes for the day if we're not fighting the Baku. No one is ever there other than me, so we won't be overheard by anyone. And I swear that no knowledge of this will be obtained willingly from me." He then passed her and continued to the basement. He rubbed his ear... Emi sure had a strong hand.
Minto, now that she had completely rid her face of any remnants of the cake, also headed down to the basement at a fast pace.

Ryou was waiting for everyone to arrive. When they had, he looked at the group before him, a very unhappy look on his face. "As you know, we've been fighting these Baku for the last month. It hasn't been easy. Of course, we fought Kisshu and the others for a year before that ended. However, unlike them, these Baku seem to hold a more dangerous problem." Ryou turned to the screen, and an image of a bat-like baku appeared. "So far, the Baku have appeared only here in Japan, as did Kisshu and the others, but, now they aren't." He switched the image to an image of San Fransisco. "They have been spot in America, China, and Russia. The threat is greater then we could have imagined." He turned back to the group.
"So...what are you saying?" Emi asked. "Do you mean...there's no hope this time?"
Ryou shook his head. "No, it just means we'll have to fight harder. We have discovered there are other Mews around the world helping out, as was discovered when we had our encounter with Akai Ringo a while back. So, for now, the other lands are safe."
Emi gave a sigh of relief. "That's good."
"Now..." Ryou was about to begin when the doors to the basement opened suddenly. From the doors a girl walked in. She was badly beaten and bruised. She looked up for a moment. She had black hair, and she had the same school uniform that Ichigo wore.
"Help...me..." she spoke before falling forward, completely unconscious.
(Umm...interesting twist?)

Minto's eyed opened wide, as she looked at the girl who had entered and was now unconscious (she was most likely merely surprised). Basil looked about and sighed. "I suggest we move her to a bed. I don't think that she, whoever she is, will be very happy to wake up on a cold, hard floor."

Ryou just kind of stared, not exactly sure what just happened. In the mean time, Emi moved over to the girl and, with the help of others, picked the girl up and took her to a bed. Ryou stated a moment later there was currently no Baku threat coming yet, but he had noticed something was happening, and he wanted the girls to be as alert as possible, thus the reason for closing the store.
It was about an hour later before the girl gave a groan and slowly awoke. Her eyes slowly opened and she looked around. "W-where am I?" she asked.
"Cafe Mew Mew," Ryou spoke.
"I'm still here?" the girl spoke and quickly sat up. She quickly laid back down when she felt pain in her back. "The Baku..." she spoke, "...their coming...Masha knows..." she sighed and closed her eyes again. "I'm too tired..." she spoke and fell asleep.

"Masha?" Minto asked, "I thought he was with Ichigo."
"Don't pry her with questions," Basil suggested, "she'll be more talkative when she wakes."

(Same here...I need Ichigo x.x -steals Ichigo from whoever is using her at the moment-)
"I'm here!" Ichigo shouted. She had just gotten back to the cafe and was now looking around for everyone. She placed the bags of food she had been sent to buy on the counter in the Kitchen and looked around. "Hello? Is anyone here?" she called out. Maybe there was an attack while I was gone... she thought. "Hello?" she called out again.
"Ichigo!" Emi shouted from upstairs. "We're all upstairs!" Ichigo quickly ran upstairs, opening the door that lead to the room they were in.
"I'm here, everyone, what's going on?" She then saw the girl on the bed. Her eyes and wide and she really freaked. "What IS going on?" Emi just shrugged.

Oh, and if you could refrain from skipping times like full hours without asking the other conversations going on first... That would be great ^-^ I know I haven't said anything about it before, so I'm just saying it now

"This random girl showed up saying she needed help," Brownie said simply and shrugged. "Just when I was about to go report some false news to the aliens... don't tell them I say anything false when you see them next, would you?"
"She's known for having been the most loyal of DB's followers. If they learn that all that time she had been lying..." Basil made a sound that pretty much meant 'ouch', and continued, "I wouldn't want to be her. Really. Pai would most certainly be furious..."

Emi looked back down at the girl and sighed. "I hope she'll be okay," Emi spoke. There was something about this girl she didn't quite understand. She felt different then most of the girls around her. Something was definitely not right, but what was it. She looked up, staring at Minto for a moment, then looking away. She sighed and closed her eyes.
