Isis, is green stuff like time taking and like...practice practice practice. Or is it easier than it looks. Because that green stuff you did on that emporer is great an I've seen people do even more on a piece than that and I'm in awe when I see people do green stuff.
I hoipe this question isn't to random or anything. sweatdrop

Your just need to have tools that will allow you to work with it on a teeny tiny leval. For referance of ease, the emperor was the first time I had worked with it. Basicly any clay working skills you may have picked up in grade school will help you. Some tools that may help, A thumb tack, a tooth pick, a pointed x-acto blade, dentle tools, quilting pins. Basicly anything pointy and small. 3nodding

Wow! The emporer was your first green stuff project...that's really impressive. Great job. That makes me admire that model even more.

Everytime I see that model in raw form(unpainted) Isis it really does blow me away, I can do the extent of fire, and the part you did on the breast plate, but hot damn, ever is that imperial eagle on the belt amazing. mrgreen

Thanks guys I really apriciate the comments. 3nodding But you know the wierdest part ? The easyest part of the model ( the base ) I still have no idea what to do for it. I fear if I flock it, it may take away from the model. So for now it's still black. If any one has any suggestions or ideas Im open.

Well its the emporer right? Why not have him standing on a bunch of Orks or Chaos Corpses.
Or if you want to make him really spiffy, Take the base and make it bigger and then have like a bunch of corpses around him and make the ground all.... Battle Damaged looking....

try taking a dead model (of any race, it's your model you decide. ) and make it look like it's burning from the sword.
yeah the bases are a pain in the butt. I'm not sure what to do with my dreadnoughts base. (the plague marine one )

I like that idea. (burning corpse) But like you said it might take away from the model... but then again it just might make it a whole lot dang cooler.
Well I've noticed what I've said so far isn't that much help at all. But if I were you...hmmm...I would just put a burning corpse on the base.
I hope we've answered your question Isis. Good luck with whatever you choose to do.

I say to make it simple....take a Dreadnought base and mount it on that...its simple and cool but doesnt detract from the model!

Yeah I hope it works out really cool. (if you decide to do it) Also don't think that if you don't do we'll be like, "THAT SUCKS ISIS" cause I'm still in awe form the first time I saw it!

Thanks it's good to here that. But personally every time I look at it, it screams " Get your butt over here and fnish me !! " Soo ehh... I'm working at it. sweatdrop A few days ago I had a lucky encounter with a golden demon winner. He has a pic of one of his modles in the 2006 bitz order catalog and he's only 19 !!!!! Im gonna get some tips from him. n_n

Isis47470 Simply put, a conversion is where you take a bunch of parts that don't always go together and make them look like they do, to achieve a unique look. Here is an unfinished pic of my model of The Emperor, I used ; The $15 commander kit, abbadon the despoiler, a grey knight, a piece of sprue and some green stuff. And this is what he looks like when finished. Conversion are fun to make and are like small challenges. You should give it a shot some time Dave! Sweet Jumpin' Jack Flash, that impressive! As for the base, it looks fine raw. There's a point where you get carried away and do too much to a model. Take it from a guy who's hit that point a few times already

123colt That's sweet. Where did you meet him at? Actually I have to correct my self, he is a silver demon winner, but thats still just as impresive to me. And oddly enough now, he is my boyfriend. 3nodding I met him at Sci-fi-city. This is his dreadnought, its on the Games day 2004 site. Games day 2004 best Vehicle
