Does anyone know if any of the rooms at these hotels comes with a mini fridge and/or microwave oven? I have about 9 or 10 people in my group and we want to bring some groceries to help cut costs of going out to eat every night.

I have no idea but if you call the hotels and ask them, they might answer the question. On another note, please stop using the word LBCC when refering to the city of long beach try LBC instead. LBCC for the locals means Long Beach City College. Like everyone stated before the are plenty of good resturants there. Roscoe's is a few blocks away from the CC and I do believe the Yard House which is a bit pricer in food is farther down the road is good.

Ya know, as far as I've seen they haven't been referring to the city of Long Beach as LBCC....only the convention center, and you have to remember the context in which the abbreviation is being used...I seriously doubt anyone is going to visit a community college during AX....

Does anyone know if any of the AX events will be held in any of the surrounding hotels, like how things were held at The Marriot and The Hilton when AX was in Anaheim?

There are rumors, but then again, they are rumors. If all the rumors in the anime community are true, then apparently Jiraiya must now buy Naruto a pimp suit, as he has been with almost every girl ever to cross his path.

There are lots of decent smaller places to eat right across the street from the convention center. But beware. They will be PACKED! So I would expect a long wait to get food. Then they just built about 6 or 7 months ago a Chili's, a PF Changs (Great family style chinese food for those who haven't been there yet! And the service is excellent!), And a few other main restaurants. PLUS, you have a really great view of the Queen Mary and all the gorgeous lights in and around the water line. You can also take a nice little stroll down Pine and check out the nightlife. There are a few nice dance clubs and bars, some lunch places to eat during the day. It may not look like much but there are a lot of pretty interesting hidden spots to explore.
Only problem is.... NO STARBUCKS! *weeps*
Oh, and there will most likely be something happening in the Hyatt (right next to the convention center) and the Renaissance hotel across the street. Not sure about the other hotels because of location. I'm sure the SPJA will want to stick with hotels that are within easy walking distance to the LBCC. Not sure what exactly they may have but you might want to check the official page.

I'll be staying down at the Inn of Long Beach. It's about three blocks away. Bit of a walk but for the whole time we'll be there, we're paying less then $500 for five days. o3o
I was there on Sunday. There are a lot of places to eat at the Pike and it's right across the street.

I'll sure miss the conveinice of everything in Anahiem *sigh* but then again it'll be a blast like always. You'll just have pictures in the most random of places... like at a stoplight and walking down the street... almost like a live action O.O *gasps* ... okay now im REALLY excited >_<

Okay. Just to let you know. I called Bubba Gump shrimp company and you can call ahead and pick up your order rather then waiting to be seated in the resteraunt. I highly recommend people check the different resteraunts and find out which one's you can pick up your orders from.
Also, to let you know. There's a Von's on Atlantic right across the street from the motel I'm staying at. ;D

I'm so excited!!! I just booked our room at the Westin, for a discounted price. How close is it to the convention center? Considering that it's one of the hotels that the website is promoting, I thought that it would be very close, but according to mapquest, it's two miles away. Which one's right?

I'm staying at the Hyatt, closest to the Long Beach Convention Center, and pretty cheap prices. Discount <3
Food: I will be living off ham sandwiches <3
