I just, like, yesterday, saw the episode where Doyle died and I was totally crushed, even though I knew that it was going to happen and when. All the characters I like die. It's seriously a curse. One time when I was watching a movie (The Patriot), I chose a fav. character and he died in the first twenty minutes of the movie! Just in the Buffyverse alone:
* Spike dies
* Warren dies
* Tara dies
* Jonathan dies
* Doyle dies
* Wesley dies
Goddam it! I can't tell whether to hug Joss Whedon for making such a spectacular series, or kick him in the f***ing face.

I didn't know his family didn't want anyone to know how he died. Its just terrible. He was such a good actor and I wish he hadn't been taken off the show.
Did you also know that David and Charisma didn't even know he died till like a year after he did. guess they didn't keep in touch,

Atrum_Lamae I didn't know his family didn't want anyone to know how he died. Its just terrible. He was such a good actor and I wish he hadn't been taken off the show. Did you also know that David and Charisma didn't even know he died till like a year after he did. guess they didn't keep in touch, Really? I heard somewhere that they were at his funeral.. Maybe not then.

At a signing about a week after his passing, both Alexis Denisoff and Andy Hallett (neither of whom had even worked with Glenn) had said that they were all affected and deeply grieved. And I do believe David and Charisma DID go to the funeral. However, I think it was in an interview a year later that David said it was still too soon for him to talk about Glenn's death. Also, Aidan and Glenn share no relation.

In interviews with both Glenn and David, they both spoke of each other as brothers, they were that close. Glenn taught David how to play drums (or was it guitar? ... or both?). I heard about Glenn's death two days after the fact. The first thing that went through my mind was that I felt like I had lost a dear friend (weird, I know). Second thought? "Oh, my god! I hope David is okay!" Coincidentally, the day that Glenn passed was the day I had wrote Doyle's intro in my fanfic. It was rather ... eerie.

I was really sad when I found out, he was such a good/fun actor. And go figure, Doyle dies right when he gets together with Cordi. Not cool.

Doyle's death was completely planned out before Glenn Quinn was even cast. He went into it knowing he would only be on nine episodes...despite what most say... I think Hero was probably the saddest episode of Angel ever. I watched it a few days ago. I can't stop myself from crying senselessly whenever I see it. crying crying

Perfect, but cruel. heart Troika heart The scary thing is when I first watched that episode and Doyle's being tape recorded and saying those lines, my sister could tell right away that he was going to die just from the things he was saying. (And of course I denied he would, then thirty minutes later I'm crying.)
