I watched that movie, and it was okay. Val Kilmer resembled Morrison extremely. Except Densmore, Manzarek, and Krieger's actors looked nothing like them. And the sequence where they performed The End was awful. They didn't even get into the extensive "********, ********, ********, ******** yeah,. c'mon baby ******** me baby" line. And I don't recall them meeting Rotchild at the "Whiskey A Go-Go" in all the biographies I read. They made half of that s**t up. And Val Kilmer cannot sing like Morrison. All in all I give it 2 stars.
Give the guy some credit for trying.. Who can sing like Jim, after all?

I'm hoping for a Doors movie made by Densmore, or Manzarek. That would be perfect.

Yes, yes it would.. The real story. I'm looking forward to finding Manzarek's book about Jim and the Doors.. Forget the title. I doubt I could find it in stores near me, though. I'll probably have to order it online if I end up getting it.

Buy John's story. I own it, and I've read it. Great stuff.

Sweet, I'll keep a look out for that one too.

I made about 3 new friends today just because I was wearing a Jim Morrison shirt.

When I wear my Doors shirt the response is usually "Who is that guy on your shirt?".

Once I got a "Why do you have Jesus on your shirt?" But yes, I receive a lot of those as well. Luckily these guys were fans of the Doors and knew who Jim Morrison was.

Last night I went to a bonfire party, and I put on a Doors CD. And let me tell you, they're pretty much the best band to listen to while sitting in the forest watching a fire. Try it sometime.

If you ever try acid(I'm not supporting drugs, or anything) and put on "The End" you'll turn crazy... Very fun.

So... You have "Hobo Jim" on your shirt? I have clean-shaven Jim on mine.

I have every pre-Morrison's death Doors' cd now. The only other albums of their's that I want are "An American Prayer" and "Absolutely Live".

Yeah, I guess it would be hobo Jim. It's the famous, or shall I say infamous, picture of him, shirtless with the arms spread out and the like. I really want the orange and white bead necklace he's wearing in that picture.

Jim doesn't even have a beard in that picture.

The Doors shirt I have is the one that has a photo of Jim standing in front of the "An American Poet" picture.

Ooh, okay. No, I don't have a hobo Jim shirt. There are so many different Jims, I just get confused every time I talk about their differences.

I don't mean to sound morbid, but I think his death is one of the more intriguing ones in the rock world. With the wife lying to the police and etc. The Rolling Stone did a huge article on it a while back, it was quite interesting.
