I forgot to mention. I don't know how many of you know this or not so I am going to state it. Not including the Frank Herbert novels but the ones by Brian and Kevin, of course there are similatities between Dune and Star Wars. Kevin wrote tons of Star Wars Novels.

I tend to see AI in the way Butlerian Jihad does. AI concors man kind. With AI man tends to let all their thinking be done by machine, thus man kind because more stupid in the long run. As for the three laws. As we all know they can be broken.

I'm not too sure. All I know it is a story about Han and Leia's two kids. My brother has the entire series. I've only read a few but remember nothing

Well considering the huge fan base Star Wars has around the globe it isn't unlikely. So fine if they can claim to be Jedi they we can claim to be soilders of Muad'Did. xd With Jedi power of course rofl

im a starwars fan and a newly made dune fan, so it IS possible for lucas to be directly influenced by Dune (as i recall even he said himself that he was a big fan) or subliminally influenced.

I highly dout it. Like I said before remember for all the new books, Kevin J Anderson wrote numerous Star Wars novels and for the Frank Herbert novels most even sci-fi novel was written in the same style.
