i liked both the movies and books, but i had to pick the books because the movies left out a key character and some key parts.....i just can't believe the left out PEEVES!!!!!! that made me soo mad!!!!! otherwise.....i love them both...lol

Well... The movies aren't bad, of course. I *LOVE* the music and set decor of the the movies 4laugh BUT
well, they absolutely butchered the books! evil AND, since I live off of Harry Potter, this was a little *disturbing* for me, shall we say. eek
So, I am a book person all the way. It would be perfect if the movies were an exact replica of the books. They would be lllllooooonnnnnnnnggggg movies, sweatdrop but I would totally watch the entire thing. 3nodding

The movies were awesome but they left out to many important parts! And it really irked me when the POA came out and it wasn't in chronological order!!!! evil stressed
I wanted to scream! scream
I love the books though! heart heart They're the most awesome ever! Rowling has a wonderful imagination! She is just fabulous! heart whee
And I wouldn't mind having to sit on my butt for 4 hours to watch a movie if I could just see ALL of the book put on screen! 3nodding

Personally I thought the movies were rather disappointing. I was so hyped for the first movie and although it skipped a little bit of this and that, it was pretty good. The second movie was sort of disappointing when they skipped Nick's party. The third one got me upset. The clothes changed and made it seem less realistic. They COMPLETELY skipped the explanation of the stag. my sister (who hasn't read the book) was clueless to what it was and what it symbolized. I was so upset. I kept thinking to my self that those directors and producers have no idea what their doing. Then the fourth on came. By the end of the movies, I had hit my forehead in frustration so many times, it was red. Not only did they completely skip classes but they also took out the World Cup. HOW CAN YOU TAKE OUT THE WORLD CUP!!!! In the book, everyone had matured slightly. Do you see any of that? NO! Instead of letting out one the worst movies they've made out, they should have split in two like they had thought before. The fifth better be good.

I enjoy both books & movies.
but if I had to choose it would be books for sure, because I get tired of movies, but books I can read over and over agian.

sweatdrop hmm...thats a tough one. umm
4laugh well i like the books but i love the movies!! heart idk why...cuz i have a little bit of A.D.D. or something...sometimes when i read, i can read a whole page and not understand what just happened gonk so i have to read it again lol. the movies keep my attention! rofl
I also like the music, special effects and the actors of course. But the movies are sometimes disappointing because its sooooo short compared to the books. I think die-hard fans of HP wouldnt mind watching a 10 hour movie or something hahahaha i know i wouldnt! whee
stare aaaaaccckkkkk!!! scream I cant decide!!! crying they both have their own good qualities!

I defintely prefer the books. The movies leave out so much detail. crying The movies are good in their own way that they show you what Rowling was imagining when she wrote them (hopefully); however stimulating your imagination is the best way to enjoy anything. 3nodding
*cheers for the books* and hoping that the new one coming out will be just as good a the rest!!!

Personally i dont like comparing books and movies, you cant really explain emotion in movies... you can, but not like you can in a moive...
in a movie you cant explain thoughts, but you can in a book
a pictures worth a thousand words, its easier to explain somethings in a movie than a book

I like the books so much more. They have more detail, and i reckon the movies take out so much of the books that in the end it kind of ruins it =(

The books are like, 200 times better than the movies. And I love the movies, so that's saying alot! domokun

Books! Hands down! They give you more info, and a reason to yell at the screen in the theater! xd Plus, the movies are just way off and cut out a ton of stuff and put in things that don't need to be there.

I think the books are better, but that's true with most book-based movies isn't it? Same with the Lord of the Rings and V for Vendetta and all those other ones. I mean, I love those movies, but they can't compare to the books and comic books they're based on. 3nodding
