"Ahh well….."

Squirm held the cape over to her trying not to look at her slender body as he stared up at her. but it was hard to miss.

"I just thought you might need it as your clothes are quite torn."

squirm gulped and tried to look away. "It also might hide your scent from the fiends here if you wear it."

squirm realised what he just said. "not that you smell. if you don’t want it that’s fine to. Ahh…. what did you say your name was again?"

Squirm wasn’t sure what to do and felt a bit out of place. He didn’t even know who this woman was.

"I didn't." The shadows of amusement seemed to flicker through those crimson orbitals as she accepted the cloak with an inspecting eye. Was there any way she could wear it without the wings getting in the way or hindering her movement?! Her frown was only a light one, one of thoughtfullness and puzlement. "My name...? It is Israphelle..."

After a moment of turning both her body and the fabric of the cloak both this way and that she held the article back out towards him. "And such clothing is not made for me. I will do well enough without it until I cross a seamstress or tailor... although I could use a few 'other' things...." She seemed almost hesitant to bring up any of that which could be held against her in any one way or another. "...I've lost two things frightfully dear to me. The first, and replacible, being my weapon...." sweatdrop

Squirm felt a bit embarrassed about the whole thing but she seemed to take it in good humour thou and he smiled with his shark like teeth.

"sorry Israphelle. lets see."

Squirm took back the cape and tied it back around him then searched his clothing and pulled the dagger he had from his belt.

"You can use this for now. its nothing special but a weapons a weapon."

he passed her the strangely decorated knife.

"if you will let me id like to travel with you. there are also some friends i need to reunite with at it will be nice to have some companionship on the road. that is if you think you can trust me."

Squirm waved his tail from side to side waiting for a response form the young woman.

She smiled, but even so the action seemed to be missing something. A sense of caring, perhaps. Or maybe she was just weary, or even had a splinter in her foot. Whatever the reason, there seemed something almost detatched about her. She took the dagger with gratitude, even if she was insinuating the question of a blacksmith. Slipping the weapon beneath the crossed strap of her skirt she let her wings ruffle out before folding elegantly upon her back once more. "It is not a matter of 'trust', nor will it ever be with me... but I should warn you, I am liable to leave whenever it is my feet stray the path. If you can travel with me knowing that, then there's no reason why not." She held her hand out as if to confirm what might be considered a companionship. "...for the second thing I've lost is someone dearly important to me...."

Squirm watched as she took the dagger from him and smiled.

"If that is what you need to do i understand, but i hope we can learn to become friends as we travel together. there is a lot i would like to learn about you."

He looked at her wings as he said this. Squirm held out his claw and placed in her hand gently as he shook it.

"And i will try my best to help you find your lost companion."

Squirm smiled as he lifted his belt back and looked over at the woman. it would be nice to travel with such a beautiful companion he just hoped he wouldn’t get in the way or cause trouble for her, but if he travelled with her he could protect her. it seemed she didn’t know much about bestwile jungle. it was hazardous here if you couldn’t navigate your way through.

Israphelle hooked her thumbs casually into two of the banded rings of her sectioned skirt, cromson eyes turning to look about her surroundings. In fact, it was as though she hadn't even done so much as of yet. Her voice, that distant whisp of a sound, managed its way through the air, "You said you lived here, right? So... you would obviously know your way around and others of this area, riiiiiiight?"

Squirm nodded to the girl as he lifted his spear out and dug into the ground, then crouched down to the ground to listen around the jungle.

"Yes ive lived here most of my life."

he glanced over to her as she tucked her thumbs into her skirt.

"i was surprised to see anyone around here especially not near to any settlements. the jungle hear has become particularly dangerous these past years."

he could hear a few echo sounds of large fiends but nothing to big close by. he stared up at Israphelle with his one good eye. then he heard a grumbling sound coming from somewhere and realised it was from the ladies stomach.

"You must be hungry. here let me catch you some food before we go on are way."

he rushed behind some bushes quickly.

She opened her mouth, as though to object, but shut it quite forcefully upon her tongue. A soft grunt later and she crouched down, sighing away her weariness. She hadn't even been given a chance to ask him of the forsaken Necromancer... or whatever the hell that stupid male was. The common scowl found its way back to her face. Perhap it might be best if she not ask her new compatriot about the man. Her thoughts were soon turned inwards. She'd have much thinking to do before Riet...

A quick shake of the head drove the name from her mind. This was not the time to fester... But... after all, when better? For her 'guide' had all but run off.

A ruffle of black wings and she stood up, slowly stretching out one arm, then the other, before moving on to stretch her legs. Maybe she should just focus first on regaining her weapon... ... ...

Squirm hurried back out of the bushes holding a large creature skewed on the end of his spear and looked up at the girl stretching her limbs and wings. he couldn’t get used to the sight although he had seen stranger things.

he approach Israphelle as she yawned and smiled over to her then gathered some twigs together and used a small portion of his fire breath to send a spit ball at the twigs to light a fire and placed the creature over it.

"there you go. hope your hungry. don’t worry i know it looks strange but it quite tasty."

Israphelle blinked at how easily he could just spit out fire, a dark eyebrow lifting before she turned to examine the dead-thing. A light pout later and she was pulling it off of the fire and pulling out the borrowed dagger. He might have a set of well sharpened fangs, but there was no way her human-like teeth would be able to bite through that strangely thick leathered hide.

With a clean stab she tore the blade through the creature's gut, allowing all sorts of viscera to spill beside the fire. It would start to smell worse, but she merely twitched her nose. Animal blood never seemed to phase her. How could it? Shaking dark hair from her face she twisted the critter's corpse over and meticulously began to skin it, not the lightest indication of disgust upon her face. After all, every soldier knew how to hunt and cook their own meal when it was really needed.

Squirm looked at her oddly as she began to skin the creature and open it up. he thought she hated the sight of blood. was it just humanoid creatures blood she hated the site of...strange. the way she set about preparing the food didn’t phase squirm after all he lived on creatures like that for a long tome with his bare claws, but it was the calmness she performed the task which got to him.

squirm had been known to become blood thirsty but this girl just went about it like digging a hole. did killing come so naturally to her. squirm made his way over and helped clean away what was left.

"i think its done now, why don’t you go ahead and eat up."

Still crouching Israphelle spat on her hands before rubbing them upon the ground. The dirt and mulch of the forest floor clung to the blood and spit until it was dried. With a sigh she rubbed her palms upon the meaty part of her calf and let the bloodied dirt crumble dryly to the ground by her feet. Cleaning the dagger on the lower part of one of the strips of her skirt she then returned it to the back 'X' band of the article of clothing.

Only once all that had been done did she actually allow herself to sit back and take of the food. Her stomach felt as though it were reaching up for the meal itself. Still, she kept that docile expression and ate with a slowness that said calm.

Squirm grinned.

"you don’t have to worry about being polite, go ahead and chow down i can see your hungry."

squirm sat back moving his cloak and letting his tail curl out he placed his three arm to the ground and looked over to the fire. Israphelle intrigued him and he new she hid much about herself. he felt maybe if he told her more about him she would relax more around him and he could understand her more.

"There a few thing i wish to do on are travels and a few friends i want to find. "

he looked into the fire.

"it looks as thou you know quite a bit about hardship. i have been in a few battles but nothing it seems like you have. there’s one in particular that was the hardest, that was when i lost this eye. but my friends helped me through it."

"there’s a place here i want to go where i met someone close to me, but i have no idea if they will be there or not. we will need to be careful thou they are powerful necromancers."

A dark eyebrow lifted, as though to say 'is that so', but she didn't speak. Instead she chewed the cooked meat in a silent form of subtle understanding. Perhaps her feet may stay on the same path as this one's for some time yet. The thought seemed interesting enough, but how long could she really hold out against herself... against Riet...

Another mouthful of the food drove the name from her thoughts and shoved said thoughts towards listening to Squirm. She didn't seem too affected by his prodding statments, indeed, she'd have been mildly suprised if he hadn't insinuated anything! A gentle nod of her head and she reached for another chunk of meat.
