"The shard of Wind... We managed to get 2 shard holders release their shards to us. I was choking the Animal shard holder known as Acryn with my chains. Her two friends surrendered their shards. Caliesil grabbed the wind and I went to grab the shard of earth... but My arm began to turn to stone. That is how I lost my arm. The earth shard was never meant for me..."

Acryn Keitaro She listened intently to Mouse and when he was finished, she turned to him and smiled, and stopped walking. "Yes, he was messing around in mine. I, of course, didn't appreciate it. And the after effects...well, I'm hoping to get some sort of payback for what he did. But I can't really blame him for being what he is, and for doing what he does. Nor can I not blame myself..." She faltered a moment. This was so hard to say, but she knew she had to say it out loud to finally believe it. "...For letting myself be manipulated. I was weak. I was stupid. And now I have to live with the consequences. For now, I'm fine. At least I believe so." She smiled through a few tears and wrapped her arms around him, hugging him close. "I'm glad that I have you for a friend, Mouse. You're the only one I can trust, and I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you." *Mouse's brow wrinkled as his face grew into a brief frown.* I wouldn't go saying that. Although you knew he was a demon, that's no excuse for what he did.*The frown quickly changes into a bright smile.* You have a kind and noble heart Acryn. You are neither weak nor stupid. I highly doubt that you simply let yourself be manipulated... No... What I believe is more likely what happened is that you gave him a chance... And he used that against you. You didn't let him manipulate you... He simply proved that he didn't deserve your trust. *His eyes shift back ahead to the nearby trade road.* Best keep moving for now... I'd prefer to reach the river before too long... Unless you'd rather have just potatoes for a meal?

She stepped back and sighed, folding her arms across her chest and looking ahead.
"I don't mind what we have for a meal. Really. I'm not a fancy girl."
A slight smile appeared on her lips, then left as quickly as it came.
"And...I still feel stupid for giving him a chance. For trusting him like I did. He was a demon, I should have never taken that step in the first place. It was a lethal mistake that almost took my life...and yours. Also Volgraza's."
Absentmindedly, she rubs along her neck, thinking of the chains that were wrapped there.
"I'm sorry I put your life in danger."
She tilted her head down and stared at the ground, her hair falling around her face, hiding it from view.

*Mouse covered his hand over his mouth to hide the smirk. After a moment he coughs lightly and removes his hand.*
Ah... That was a bit of a tight spot... However those demons are always after us... Can't blame yourself for what they want from all of us. I really wonder how long it's going to take them to figure out what went wrong there.
*The large smirk reappears on Mouse's face.*

She tilted her head back up and raised an eyebrow. The red in her eyes was swirling inside the grey of the iris, like oil in water.
"What do you mean? And it's not a laughing matter! I was apologizing for risking your life and my own for being foolish and all you can do is grin. Just shove me in the dirt why don't you."
She turned her head away, trying desperately to calm herself down. She definately did not want to get out of control again. It was hazardous to everyone around her. So, instead, she bit down on her tongue, hard.

*His brow was wrinkled in confusion at her reaction. Then, with a snap of realization, he went wide-eyed and began flailing his hands back and forth in a panic.*
Ack... No no no no no.... I wasn't grinning about that... I sort of slipped off on a tangent of sorts. And you have no need to apologize... After all... You've done the same for me before....
No, I was grinning about how dense those demons really are... It's obvious to me that they may know where to find us, but they haven't a clue what they're looking for.

She looked back at him, her arms still folded across her chest defensively, and only stared in confusion.
"They're looking for the shards, arn't they? What else would they be looking for?"
She felt slightly embarrassed about her little outburst, and her reddening cheeks showed that. Though she wouldn't really admit it. She put her arms down slowly and then ran her fingers through her hair, catching a glimpse of white. Panicked, she pulled her hair in front of her face and instead of there being strands of silver, were noticeable chunks of white. She furrowed her eyebrows in anger and threw her hair back, giving her attention back to Mouse.

She held the sliver of jade in her palm and stared at it a few moments, then looked up at Mouse.
"It looks exactly like the piece you threw in front of Vizierre. It looks like a shard. Is that it?"
She handed the sliver back to him and pulled on the gloves on her hands, then placed her hands on her hips.

It is the piece I threw before him. Of course you, unlike those demons, realize that this isn't a shard.... After all, I've a handful more in my sack and they don't know the difference between a fake and a real crystal shard...

Her hand raised to the spot just under her collarbone where the shard lay under her skin.
"I don't really have that option though. Caliesil knows where mine is, since I ripped it out of my skin when he was..controlling me. But it's a good thing yours is safe."
She smiled lightly and dropped her right arm, her left hand still against her hip.

*He stares out at the horizon he was very bored and when he got bored bad things tended to happen to random people.............however there did not seem to be anyone around ...............but then he began tio sence something it was faint but still he had found something .................the earth elementist he flys off in search of him*
