Ect: This will be my first time at otakon, but my fifth convention. I've been cosplaying for over 3 years now, and this year I'm actually looking forward to a convention because I'll be able to hangout with some awesome friends I made at Tekkoshocon.
I'm really looking forward to the cosplay, and possibly being in a cosplay myself...

Hello everyone, My name is Miki. I'm sorta new to Gaia... I've been around since Sept 2004, but I haven't been on Gaia much.
I've only been to Otakon once, that was 2003 I cosplayed as a extremly tall Noface... the costume goes up to about 13 feet tall.. Otherwise, I've been to quite a few other cons over the past few years.. I just attended Anime Central this last weekend and I'm looking foward to Otakon.
As for hobbies I've always loved Anime..Cowboy Bebop, Bleach, FMA, Naruto, Samurai Champloo, Wolf's Rain & anything from Ghibli are a few favorites. I love to draw.. This computer is mainly drowning in graphic programs. And make foam costumes, puppets & props. The latest costume I've built is a large bird, Horseclaw to be exact from the movie "Nausicaa, Valley of the Wind" I was able to use it at Acen, but I'm hoping to have it completed by Otakon. Most think it's a large blue Chocobo... smile There is to much that I love about cons to list it all, oh, always love a good sized dealer room which Otakon has and a good size Artist Alley. Looking foward to posting here, and maybe seeing some of you at the con.

Ect: I joined this guild because I'm hoping to attend Otakon. I heard about it last year after it had come and gone. >.< meh! I live very close to Downtown which is lucky for me because I don't have to pay for hotel or rides. wee! I also may have extra rooms if anyone cares. lol

Hobbies: Anime, naturally, though I haven't had as much time (or money!) to watch things lately. I've been reading quite a bit of manga, since the local library started carrying it. I also like reading in general, especially fantasy novels. I also write, but rarely finish anything. And of course I like Gaia. I spend most of my time here RPing in a gay bar thread.
Otakon history: My first Otakon was way back in 2001, and I had a blast. That year I also did my first cosplay ever, as Yukito from Cardcaptor Sakura. At Otakon 2002 I cosplayed as Zazie the Beast from Trigun (which I want to do again, but I can't find my red bandana = / ). I couldn't go to Otakon '03 as I was in Japan that summer and didn't get home until the Monday before the con; I technically COULD have gone, but I was jetlagged and had just gone broke buying anime merchandise and used manga anyway. = ) At Otakon 2005 I cosplayed as Emishi from GetBackers. This was the first year a group of friends actually went as characters from the same series. We had a Ban, a Ginji, an Akabane, and a Himiko as well as my Emishi. Last year I also got to show around a friend who had barely seen any anime, which was pretty entertaining.
I've been registered for Otakon '05 basically since prereg went up and have had my hotel booked since around January. = ) This year we're taking an extra day and going to the Baltimore Aquarium on Thursday. Anyway, I'm really excited and will probably do a lot of babbling in threads. Since I've had some Otakon experience I'd be willing to give advice and answer questions anyone might have. Otakon can be pretty daunting your first time!

Hello!! My name is Casie Smith, some friends call me Catz, others call me Kitten, you decide! I am 16 years old and an Otakon goer for the past 3 years. heart
My Gaian one year birthday is coming very soon, July 11th. I love to draw and paint, as well as I love to act and do improvisation, I love hanging out with my friends even though I have no social life.
The only thing I'm scared of for this con is that I've showed my picture several time, and I'll have really really random Gaia members jumping me in the hallways or jumping me in the crowded rooms. ninja Not that I will mind THAT much, feel free to do so if you want too.

heya I'm Nadistu I just joined this guild 3nodding
I've been on Gaia since September 10, 2003
I've heard about anime conventions for a long time now but I went to Otakon for the first time in summer 2003 when my friend needed someone to cosplay her cosplay character's best friend...
((I was sorta forced into it 3 days before the con...)) sweatdrop
I've gone every summer since then so far 3nodding
I usually tend to stay in the Dealer's Room gagging over all imported merchandise sweatdrop
plus everywhere else my friends go to I have no interest in <.< *cough*
I've cosplayed Highland Jowy(from Suikoden 2), Gremio(from Suikoden 1), and this year I'll be cosplaying someone from Suikoden 3[*cough*...I won't say] and Highland Jowy again hopefully 3nodding
talk2hand the gremio outfit was wayyy too hot and bad too...
If you want to find out anything else about me you'll have to bump into me in person blaugh

Hi, my name is Nikki! This year'll be my third Otakon, and I've been on Gaia for about 2 years and 1 month.
Otakon is the only convention I've ever gone to, because it's the closest and most convenient. I cosplayed the kitty from .hack//SIGN at Otakon 2003, and last year I was Rikku from FFX...this year I'm going to do 2 costumes if all goes well. (see sig biggrin ) I love cosplaying! It's a really fun way to meet people because it starts conversations and stuff.
Last year I didn't meet anyone specific from Gaia besides Tamoko and Lanzer, but I wasn't planning to meet either one of them. @-@ This year maybe I'll carry around a "Glomp me if you play Gaia" sign. ^-^

I've been going to Otakon since 2001 and going ever since. This year I went to A-Kon cause it was just a nice six hour drive (living in Kansas has its advantages). I usually go with my two other friends but I'm just going with my mom this year. sad

Joined Gaia: Sometime back in May of this year.
Hobbies: Movies, anime, Gaia, other online games and forums.. I like primarily shoujo anime but there are a few exceptions.
I started going to Otakon back in 2000. I've also been to Nekocon, Katsucon, A-kon, Shoujocon, and Ohayocon, but the only one I've been to every year for sure is Otakon. I've been to 15 or 16 cons in total and Otakon's really the only one I go to anymore since I'm not really much into the con scene anymore. I've been a gofer for Otakon for the past two years, working 20 hours each con, and this year I'm a TCG. I'll be working the pre-reg booths Thursday evening as well as Friday morning this year, and I'll also be doing shifts at info desk and art show. I'm hoping to become staff for next year.
I don't cosplay anymore, but in the past I've been Satsuki from X, Lucca from Chrono Trigger, Fuujin from Final Fantasy 8, Satoshi/Ash from Pokemon, and Kanako from Princess Nine. I think I was the first (or at least one of the first) Princess Nine cosplayer in the USA, but I was never much good at making costumes, so I quit.
I booked my room for this year last fall right after dates were announced and I went to Katsucon in February to pre-reg.

Ect: This will be my fourth Otakon! w00t! I can't wait! I haven't been to a con all year, due to being in other countries or not having any thime in between school and yeah...school XD.
I'll be cosplaying as Temari from Naruto on Friday, with a huge fan that's about 3/4's the size of me, as Asuka-Kitty version (you'll know what I mean when you see me) on Saturday and as Anna from Shaman King somewhere in between.Hmm..yeah, that's abouty it I guess domokun
