All I can recommend is the famous book Eats, Shoots & Leaves. Damn good stuff, and a quick read.

Tadako Isobe snapdragon I have another resource: Urban Dictionary(.com) Well, not really. But it's quite amusing. You read my mind, I was just about to post it. It can be informative on slang words. Sort of. =\ It could be a lot more organized than it is. Since anyone can post their 'definitions' you get the all too frequent 'dumbass' replies that are not coherent at all, and a lot of the SAME definition for one word. While I was offline today I read some of Woe is I. It's a grand book. ^_^

Atriz snapdragon Dictionary (.com) What a wonderful place online forums would be if some people utilized online web dictionaries! In response to Viridian_Moon: I just checked out Eats, Shoots and Leaves from the library the other day. biggrin Hmmm... just a little side note on this site. While it can be very useful, some definitions of older words are incorrect or slightly inaccurate. If the word isn't extremely common, they might not have a very good or clear definition. I had an English paper due and did not recieve credit for one part of the definition segment because my answers (found from dictionary.com) were incorrect, or not exactly accurate. Sue the school. domokun

I strongly recomend everyone reads Strunk and White's The Elements of Style. It is not only a great resource, it has some extreamly funny examples. It is not at all expensive, either. Go and check it out now!

Ask Oxford.I found this site today, when I was looking for the difference between 'these' and 'those.' I find it very helpful on language issues that I was trying to solve. heart

Here's another grammar guide. Not only is it a reference for grammatical sentence structure and commonly misused words, but it is also a paper writing and composition tutor. http://www.ccc.commnet.edu/grammar/

Kamui Tigerbreed Whoa, I've already found two words that I'm pretty sure I've misspelled for a while. >_> At the end, I had about 4 of them utterly incorrect. Granted, whenever I do use those words (which I don't) I always look up the spelling before I do. I think that's what made me misspell them. Ordinarily, I'm a good speller. Just those few threw me for a loop.
