i always loved aeris...she was soo cute....but i tihnk it was werid that both girls were older then cloud. not liek it was by alot but in japan dont guys date girls that are younger by like ALOT....like college guys datein high school girls.....i dunno..maybe that ain't true for everyone

Anyway, I pick Tifa. She doesn't need Cloud to act like her bodyguard and she can pretty much defend herself unlike Aeris. Aeris was too much of a nice girl and it bugged me how she would basically always be with Cloud, always asked his opinion and clinged to him. That totally annoyed me and how Cloud became all angsty after her death. Tifa rules. Aeris doesn't.

i've always liked aeris better. not sure why,i just do, i think tifa gets too much praise, but that's not why i like aeris better

My automatic answer was going to be Tifa, but then I realized... I like them both pretty much equally. Aerith is a little too sweet, but dying automatically gains her points for some reason, and I'm not sure at all why I like Tifa.

This is a tough one.
I like Aeris because of the fact nobody like her personality. It was nice to have someone who was sweet, yet was unable to fit in.
Tifa was cool because she was someone who took matters into her own hands and was able to deal with them without breaking down.
Battle wise, Tifa owns Aeris.
Looks wise, Tifa beats Aeris. (I'll admit it, I'm a sucker for the big breasts, but it's because of this, my sister respects her for not looking slutty and having them)
I guess I like Tifa a little more than Aeris, but Yuffie wins in the end ninja

Tifa hands down.... for all the points that Zephiroth just illustrated as well as the fact that She deserves Cloud's effection much more than Aeris does, she'd worked so much harder for it for soo much longer. Not to mention Aeris died... how can she be with him then? well all fooling aside I'd just like to say that I really appreciate her.... and her breasts mrgreen

Well I voted for Tifa because I had to choose. Though I like the both of them. Tifa is more confident and physically stronger and more outgoing then Aerith. But Aerith is also very kind, and strong in magic abilities. And when it comes to RPG's I tend to really like the 'healer' characters in the party.
Picking couples.....well if I had to pick on the spot DESPITE the video game events I'd say Tifa/Cloud, and Aerith/Sephiroth (yes I know they both die in the game...but I'm thinking outside game storyline rules).
