Do you think some one would kill off one of their favourite characters? Yeah I know JKR said that she likes Sirius but when she was asked to name her favourite characters, he wasn't listed. Lupin was.

willowtree Kari Seregon I heard on the news last night that JKR has said another person will die in Book Six, but it will not be Harry. Also, she's said that Harry will survive, although she won't say how long, meaning he might die on the last page of Book Seven. gonk I fear for Remus. NO!! She can't kill Lupin!! Wasn't Sirius enough? Well, if our beloved wolf is next on the chopping block... apparently not. ;_;

I agree that we'll probably lose a Weasley at some point, and a couple other Order members as well (hopefull not Remus or Tonks). The next DADA teacher probably won't last more that one book for whatever reason. These last two books will probably be full of deaths, both good guys and bad guys. I think Voldemort will die at the end, and Harry will come very close to death, but won't actually die.
Also, I read somewhere that Harry, Ron and Hermione all survive. No guarantees for anyone else though.

I share the fear regarding Remus. He is the last of the good members of the little clique from the past. They are being picked off. Still I really hope he doesn't die.
I also fear for one of the Weasleys. I can kind of see something tragic like that pulling Percy back to his senses if Percy himself doesn't die himself (either because he turns evil or in trying to redeem himself)

Even in Harry Potter they say there is no cure. I don't think that will change. Although something I did notice: Remus drinks from a silver cup. I know he is not being impaled by silver but could this be a subtle way of saying that Jk is not using the werewolf+silver=death thing? That could go against the idea that Wormtail will kill Remus with his silvery arm.

Are you talking about page 87 (US hardcover version) when Sirius wants to tell Harry what's been going on? Because it mentions Remus' goblet, but it doesn't say specifically silver. Unless you're meant to infer from Mundungus' comment on page 83 (US hardcover version) that all the goblets are silver. Because it's likely that Sirius would keep a few non-silver goblets around for Remus to use if the silver thing is true.

And that is the section I was talking about (only different page numbers as my books are the Canadian ones). hmmm so there still could be danger there. Tragic, tragic danger. I hope he doesn't die though. It would be so sad to have all of the former friends die prematurely.
