Solstice: [baby] - [adult] - [pregnant]

Born: July 1, 2004 --- Gender: Female --- Type: Blessed

Mate: Astraeus --- Children: Atreyu, Nayru, and Dormin

Solstice's egg was rescued by Sosiqui in 2004 at the first gathering of the Kyunru Pantheon, when a group of humans banded together with the gods of Sabilasi to rescue Siff's children. The small kyunru egg was also found. Solstice hatched in the Phoenix Nest in First Kyendi, and was rescued again by Pantalai when First Kyendi fell. After Sosiqui's death, Solstice stayed with Odilen and now travels with her.

In her childhood, Solstice was blessed by Chronos, the kyunru God of Time. As a result, when she grew into an adult she received two gifts from that blessing: Chronos' sigil on her fur, and a pair of wings formed from magical sand. Her wings are not confined to one shape - they move and change shape on their own. They tend to react to her emotions. When they are dormant in their wing-shape, she can control them directly.

Solstice is a social kyunru, happy and outgoing, and especially sensitive to the needs of others. She's especially good with children, and now that she's a mother she has an even bigger excuse to hang out with the little ones!



Dormin: [twin egg] - [baby] - [child]

Born: August 11, 2007 --- Gender: Male --- Type: Blessed/Unicorn?

Parents: Astraeus and Solstice --- Siblings: Atreyu (brother) and Nayru (twin sister)

Tiny baby! Dormin was an unexpected surprise - Nayru's egg ended up having two kyunru inside instead of one! Naturally, everyone was thrilled. Dormin tends to stick closest to his sister, and likes her more than anyone else in his family, parents included. They seem to share a special bond.

Dormin is curious, but more seriously so - he's more of a thoughtful, almost scientist type. There is a clear method to his explorations. Clever, but careful... yet willing to be goaded into play by Nayru, too. He's a quiet child, and doesn't care to roughhouse with anyone who's not his family.

Dormin and Nayru both vaguely resemble Chronos, the kyunru God of Time, an unexpected influence from their mother's blessing.



Ming Zhi Long: [adult]

Arrived: January 5, 2008 --- Gender: Male --- Type: Eastern Dragon

Ming Zhi is a sly trickster of a dragon, sneaky and playful - his playtime is never malicious or aimed to hurt someone, though he may well accidentally go too far and injure people's feelings. He's also quite pretty, and knows it, so he's vain and likes to show off how handsome and clever he is. Ming Zhi can also be imperious and demanding when he's in a bad mood or wants to be spoiled and isn't.

His pearl is his treasure. Anyone who takes it will be met with a suddenly very angry Ming Zhi, with very sharp teeth and very sharp claws.

Shiratori: [lamp] - [baby] - [adult]

Born: July 11th, 2006 --- Gender: Female --- Type: Illunaan / Natural - Swan

Shiratori was obtained in the wildlife event - Odilen wrote an excellent piece that won first prize in the poetry contest, and as a reward she got to choose a lamp! Shiratori's base animal is the swan, which made her especially perfect for Odilen.

Shiratori is... well, dense. Happy, but dense and clumsy. Her sense of direction is severely skewed due to a mutation (see her oddly placed headfeathers? yep!) so she has a tendency to smack right into walls. Fortunately, she has her friends in the wagon to keep her in line and out of trouble. She's a happy pala even if there's not a thought in her head.




Serafine: [baby] - [adult]

Born: January 6th, 2008 --- Gender: Female --- Type: Einnen

Christmas and festive! Serafine is a sweet little thing... not too much is known at this time.

Netsubin: [baby] - [adult]

Born: February 14th, 2008 --- Gender: Male --- Type: Dadreeni

Yes, he's a boy - and quite the little charmer and flirt, it seems.

Althet: [adult]

Arrived: December 24th, 2006 --- Gender: Male --- Type: Kyuria - Winter Pelt

Althet is a kyuria, a cousin species to the kyunru - however, all the lovely femme kyuria seem to have gone missing! They're probably hanging out with the Entwives somewhere. Thus, the handsome male kyuria have ventured out on a search for wine, women and song! Or maybe just women.

Althet here is a rather sensible sort. He's practical and well-mannered, a fair gentleman though not pointedly so. Althet is simply naturally polite and respectful. Still, he fancies himself quite the lady-killer, or so he thinks, but... Solstice doesn't get it. Woe. And now that she's mated to Astraeus, he's convinced his hopes of true love are forever lost. This leads to a lot of sighing and abject misery.... apparently, at least. How much of this is a plea for sympathy remains to be seen.



Esprii: [adult?]

Prii! Prii! Esprii here is a cute little thing. She doesn't talk at all, and indeed it's not known if she CAN actually speak - but she does make adorable little "prii! prii!" sounds. heart She likes to get into everything and scampers about a lot, much like a curious little mouse.
